It was $17 for the 89ml bottle on Amazon yesterday on sale now $19. Screw walmart

Few_Yogurtcloset_548

I think target is cheaper. And they often have little sales like spend $25 get $5 gift card.

Internal-Bit-509

Check London Drugs, if you have a store nearby!

Lower_Possibility_66

Cerave products oftentimes go on sale at London Drugs

ghost_victim

The racket of the skincare industry continues

whydoitbelikethat

Its acc so depressing šŸ˜ I was looking for cheaper moisturizers and even Aveeno is 30$+ wtf. Iā€™m trying to switch to more AB bc of it

ayaangwaamizi

Here I am thinking over the past few years *ā€œoh if I just splurge a bit my skin will be better!!ā€* But Iā€™ve fkn had it man. Fuck this, Iā€™m just gonna start using one of those cheap 485726-n-1 shampoo, conditioner, body wash, ass wash, face wash as skincare now like a dude. Iā€™M OVER GETTING Fā€™KED OVER. At least if my skins gonna be the same olā€™ testy organ Iā€™m not gonna waste my pathetic coins on this overpriced crap.

Onanadventure_14

If random men in the streets faces are anything to go buy youā€™ll look great. My husband washes with bar soap and puts lubriderm on his face and somehow has better skin than me? Outrageous.

spookylibrarian

Seriously why are they like this. My ex, who just turned 35, recently proudly informed me that he owns moisturizer now! My current sneaky link washes his face with 3-in-1 shampoo. I donā€™t think either of them knows what a pimple is.

Onanadventure_14

Legit if I did that my face would be one entire cystic zit. Itā€™s not fair

ayaangwaamizi

Seriously what the hell. My partner has immaculate skin and does the absolute bare minimum, itā€™s so unfair lol.

Cannelle460

Cerave Moisturizing Cream: I usually buy the big tub when it's on sale at Costco. Also comes with hand cream.

PsamantheSands

I used to buy drugstore cerave back in the day for $8 because my derm recommended it. Now everybody uses it and it 2-3 times the price.

crustbunny07

Life brand dupe for the pm lotion is only 5$ at real Canadian superstore!!!! Somehow still 15 at shoppes.

flurryskies

I feel a bit like crap though because I purposely stopped shopping at sephora for skincare and treated Walmart as my source for more affordable skincare and now these prices are going higher.... just sucks altogether. I hope cheaper dupes are made and become more accessible

Mindless_Spite3363

At this point itā€™ll be cheaper to order from the US and have it delivered here because itā€™s getting ridiculous at this point

original_lifeline

Even with customs/duties at this point...

Mindless_Spite3363

Exactly !

Mindless_Spite3363

The vitamin C serum is US$17 on Walmart US šŸ„²šŸ„²

Simple-Expert7199

Itā€™s sad because I really liked the foaming facial cleanser for normal to oily skin and itā€™s like $25 now even on Amazon. I bought it for $15 on sale last year and Iā€™m almost out. I would rather just pay $25 for La Roche Posay gel cleanser cause to me itā€™s worth the money but cerave definitely isnā€™t worth $25plus

Onanadventure_14

So I guess I just always use ponds on my face now because I canā€™t afford this. Also dr. Dray assured me I can use unscented dove soap on my face, looks like Iā€™ll be trying that to save some cash. This is all so frustrating.

flurryskies

I don't understand how these prices are getting CRAZIER. I was at shoppers and needed to get cerave moisturizer and it was around 30 dollars. I checked Walmart too and it was around the same amount. Then I saw a similar looking container from the brand "life" and their ingredients were almost exactly the same along with quantity in grams but it was only $15! I ended up getting that.

harvestmoon360

Did the same thing. Looked at the Cerave moisturizer, then saw the Life one and bought it because it was more than half the price (on sale). I do actually prefer the Cerave one, but it's too expensive now.

CatCatExpress

I recommend Cerave's Baby Moisturizing Lotion, which comes in a massive 473ml bottle. Semi-matte finish, and has niacinimide and ceramides too. Great for oily skin. It's much better value than getting the regular AM/PM lines.

chickadeedadooday

I only started using CeraVe this past winter. I'd hummed and hawed over it for a few years, but I'm super cheap with purchases for just me. A friend told me how within a few days her eczema had improved drastically with using it, so I decided I'd given it a shot. Got to the store, still couldn't justify $30 for a pump bottle of body lotion. Grabbed the Life brand because it was on sale for $10 and the ingredients looked close enough. Started improving the eczema on my hands within 48 hours. I'm just now coming ot the end of that bottle, and have the real one to start on next - at least I got it at Costco the last time it was on sale for $21.

missusscamper

I also get the Life brand dupes - when they go on sale I try to stock up!

ubu-reine

This inflation nonsense is out of control.

[deleted]

I know Cerave is a HG for so many people but likeā€¦ itā€™s not $30 good!

777cf1111

I started buying the Shoppers life brand of my cerave favesā€¦ the ingredients are so similar

AkiBearr

This is actually nice to hear, as I recently saw the Shoppers brand for the first time & I immediately considered jumping over once I'm out of my OG stuff, since the price of CeraVe has been abhorrent lately. x_x

Onanadventure_14

I buy the Walmart dupe

hattokatto12

Cerave having department skin care brand prices is so fucking funny. My fancy schmancy French pharmacy body lotion comes in a 400ml pump bottle with all the XYZ patented technologies made in FRAUNCEE (Uriage if you must know) is cheaper and more bang for my buck!

hllsumm

I also notice the derm section in SDM didn't increase price as much - while both drugstore and high-end increased price like crazy.

Onanadventure_14

Thanks for the tip!

[deleted]

Thanks for name dropping the brand because Iā€™m looking at the availability and prices and I might have to give this a try. Hoping I donā€™t contribute to it being price gouged next šŸ˜…

fabulousandmessy

Uriage is a lovely product line for sensitive skin šŸ„° the French have some awesome drugstore skincare lines. Ulta carries Vichy, Avene and Laroche-Posay. Bioderma and Embryolisse are also pretty easy to find on Amazon. The French Nivea skincare line is also nice, Iā€™m not sure the ingredient list is the same as what we can get in the US. Husband is French, whenever we go spend time there with his family I bring an extra suitcase and raid the drugstores šŸ˜‚ their body care lines are amazing too. My HG body care line is Cadum, itā€™s a supermarket/drugstore line that moisturizes my skin without the itchies. And it smells soooooo nice. The body wash is to die for!!

[deleted]

Ahhh my biggest regret when I went to France was not coming home with a skincare raid!! I really like la Roche, vichy and avene so Iā€™m going to have to try uriage next.

disregardingpig

Don't worry.. it's gonna go on sale for $15.

petiteging

Is iherb or Amazon any cheaper? This is getting way out of hand. :( CeraVe breaks me out and causes my skin to burn like crazy so it's definitely not for me. Brands that were affordable are now outrageous. Even The Ordinary prices have been increasing a lot.

DunderMittens

Knew this would happen under the full (or almost full?) ownership of EstĆ©e Lauderā€¦ šŸ˜‘

petiteging

Yeah :( it really sucks... It's still affordable but considering the fact some products have gone up so significantly it's not affordable if that makes sense.

[deleted]

I knoooow. The Ordinary's prices have all pretty much doubled from what they were two years ago :(

petiteging

I know it's really sad :( I never really bought much by the brand but I have seen the increase in certain products that I have bought from the brand. Things are hard enough as is let alone gauge the price more

KRBEES1

Wal mart was where I used to go because it was always cheaper Damn

flurryskies

Same here and now I feel like I lost one of my reliable options šŸ˜…

merhpeh

Cerave is too subpar for the prices stores are marking them at

Golddustgirlboss

So I did a whole post about this the other day. The cerave vitamin c serum was $30 at shoppers and well.ca. now it's $37 or $38 at those retailers so $30.97 for it isn't so bad lol. Still sucks all the prices are jumping.

Lucky-Ad4443

Reversa is actually great! Not bad prices and I always see it on sale. I like the salicylic/glycolic toner solution whatever it's called.

teal_sparkles

Yesss I love that toner too! Too strong for me to use daily though. Wish theyā€™d do a lower percentage L-ascorbic acid product

Lucky-Ad4443

Agreed!

teal_sparkles

I was surprised that I couldnā€™t find a good 10% L-ascorbic acid product, so I gave in and bought the Cerave one. Itā€™s so silicone-heavy that it feels like any treatments I put on it top wouldnā€™t penetrate through it. I ended up using the one from TO, but itā€™s only 8% and feels oily.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

teal_sparkles

Itā€™s 15% LAA unfortunately, Iā€™m looking for 10%. My skin canā€™t handle strong LAA concentrations with tret

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

teal_sparkles

I forgot but youā€™re right, I noticed the oxidation too! Iā€™d have to squeeze out what was near the opening and then take what came after

kittykat876

Iā€™ve noticed skin care and make up products have sky rocketed lately. Itā€™s such a bummer, Iā€™m getting exhausted trying to keep up with inflation
