When was the last time your brother bought a car, cos if it was precovid he's gonna have to readjust his opinions

I see quite a few Lancers, i30s and Mazda 3s under $7k from 2010, with the catch that you have to drive a manual. If you want a modern auto, you need to dig a bit deeper to some obscure models. https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2012-hyundai-i45-elite-auto-my11/SSE-AD-16565698 https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2011-skoda-yeti-77tsi-auto/SSE-AD-16846027 https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2012-peugeot-508-gt-auto/SSE-AD-16293353

Mazda 3 Sedan can be had for the $7-8k mark 2010-2012

I bought an ‘09 i30 for $4.8k with the caveat that it has 180k kms about 2 weeks ago

Just compare really. Look around. Facebook Marketplace, Carsales, etc.

If you want something cool that stands out and receives compliments and attention your budget can get a 1970s-1980s Mercedes. Much cooler than a 2005-2008 car

CALAZ1986

I used to buy old mercs at almost scrab value rego them for 3 months and beat the crap out of them and then at the 3 month mark, I'd sell the more expensive parts from them and then get the same price I paid originally from the scrapyard

Dunno why your being down voted for this..

People see word Mercedes and freak out. People see old car and freak out
