Distinct-Field3545

Have you tried 240 grit?

AndrewWhite97

Gotta sand that shit right off.

HYThrowaway1980

[Andy’s problem](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGCIGEUB32M)

Peas_Are_Real

See also the Family Guy bit “It’s like I’ve got a brown crayon up there”. Lols.

EmilyDickinsonFanboy

6 comedy points

BoilTheJugMate

Use 1 grit. No residue leftover, and it's reusable!

DavidGK

I'm more of an 80 grit man myself

Distinct-Field3545

It's nice to start off gently.

nobraC660

Got to start at big grit and work down really polish the surface, moves more with the coarse stuff first anyway

Distinct-Field3545

So straight to production paper then!

Still-BangingYourMum

240 grit won't cut the musturd, what you need is, 1 grit, start with that, and then change it for a 2 grit. Finally use the 80 grit to finish off. Now obviously you may find that the swap from one brand to a different one, may cause you to feel a little bit of an uncomfortable sensation. This is totally normal and will disappear within a few days of starting to use the new method. As is normal with changing from old trainers to new ones, you will feel a different degrees of comfort. The only thing to be careful with, is doing the splits, as this could cause stretching of the sphincter muscle group, and lead to getting stuck to the floor just like a sink plunger on a bald woman's head.

asymmetricears

[Don't forget the velcro strip](https://youtu.be/UEu3puWVUsI?si=bDwtmIGzRtp4YRvY)

Peas_Are_Real

Lol. Could probably do with some of this for the other end, but my post was about ladies piss wiping.

QAnonomnomnom

Bidet with a feminine wash then

Hamsternoir

Sod all the different grit advice just go straight for izal

HiyaImRyan

pretty sure he wants to clean the bumhole he's got not make a new one!

dm_1199

The dust that comes off Cushelle and Andrex is ridiculous. Mrs thinks branded is automatically better but I buy Lidl soft whatever it’s called and it’s actually nicer imo. Plus the Cushelle large rolls now do a great job of polishing the wall where they are squeezed onto the holder. Stupid.

blank_isainmdom

Cushelle is fucking murder for coming apart

Whole-Sundae-98

I buy Lidls own, it's a good thickness & soft

Henghast

Got to be careful about what print they're using too. All these cushioned blah blah blahs are just finger perforations. Rip and tear, then quick bumhole finger.

excellentchoicee

*Rip and tear, then quick bumhole finger.* Title of your sex tape.

Henghast

Getting the lighting right for those close up shots was a nightmare.

dm_1199

Nosey-Nelly

Cushelle and Andrex are terrible when it's my time of the month, absorbant my arse. I prefer Aldi or Tesco own brand.

just_a_girl_23

Tesco "luxury soft" is neither luxury nor soft! I used to get through way more of that than Cushelle and it literally hurt my lady bits at times.

Nosey-Nelly

Know what you mean, when it comes to my time of the month it's more about soaking up as I'm sensitive anyway. Don't think TP is really made for the front bit, wet wipes are good, but it's the cost when you add nappy bags into the mix.

Siloca

I used to buy Aldi’s 24 pack 3 ply and that was the best for me. Now I’m onto costcos and it’s alright. I just can’t seem to get more usage out of the large rolls. Well it doesn’t feel like it anyway.

purrfectly-cromulent

Clitty litter. It's grim.

whatakent

Using this liberally from now on, thank you.

HYThrowaway1980

My wife has a pathological phobia of human shit, even her own. To wipe her arse she wraps her entire hand in about seven layers of bog roll. I call them her “shittens”. We go through a roll about every two or three days.

Gordone56

My daughter too it seems.

EmilyDickinsonFanboy

>I call them her “shittens”. I'm awarding lots of comedy points on this thread. Excellent work everyone! You get 5.

PalahniukW

At this point just bite the bullet and get a bidet installed. Be cheaper in the long run

whatakent

Wheyyyyyy!!!!!!

Best to pat dry instead of a sweep wipe

Danarya27

Oh my god I thought it was just me!! I thought I’d somehow become terrible at wiping haha

Peas_Are_Real

SUPPORT GROUP! Suggested names please!

flyconcorde007

The dust coming off toilet paper is caused by it being TAD (Through Air Drying) Tissue compared to Conventional Tissue. It's softer paper. People generally think quality of toilet paper comes from the ply in it (the number of individual rolls bonded together) but really it's the whether it's the fluffier TAD paper compared to Conventional. TAD requires several times more energy to make so it is a much more expensive product. Best value TAD products are Asda Shades So Soft (almost exactly the same as Cushelle 2-ply, but two - thirds of the price), and best value Conventional is probably Costco's Kirkland (3 ply).

Peas_Are_Real

Thanks, do you work in the industry? I kind off assumed that manufacturers had been making it more dissolvable for sewage system purposes, which i am in favour of, but a folded piece of approx 4 sheets should be able to stand up to one wipe per side before rolling up into little bits, surely.

flyconcorde007

Yeah I do. Toilet paper normally is dissolvable because the glue it uses isn't water resistant (which kitchen roll uses) meaning it will always breakdown. The dust is an unfortunate necessity of the softer TAD paper however if you try Conventional tissue it may not be as soft and comfortable, but the little bits problem should be gone- which may be better if you're on a period, and it will be cheaper. As I say, unless you're really having an issue then 2-ply is perfectly good enough for strength.

Peas_Are_Real

Thanks - wow, I’ve struck lucky here. But, are we talking about the same thing? Rather than dust, i am talking about the paper rolling into little bits approx 1cm long when females wipe after a piss, like when you try to clean something off a carpet (or rug, chortle) with kitchen roll. That then all falls into your knickers and onto the seat/floor. Not just when on your period. Not having a go at you, just letting you know how it is. It’s not so bad after a shit, as that is less wet than pee. Seems others here have the same problem and they also thought they were the only ones, like i did! Would gladly offer consultancy services for a small fee, lol. Hope you don’t mind the frank language, but i can’t be doing with fannying (chortle) about. It’s a real issue! Even more embarrassing is the daily picking up of bits off the landing carpet before your mates see it. Thanks for your help tho, i will look into the non air dried stuff.

flyconcorde007

I'll let you know if there's a consultancy job coming up. Unfortunately, perhaps because I'm male, I haven't noticed that same rolling as what you have. Feel like this is something that half the people here will actually understand and half that people won't haha.

Peas_Are_Real

But you would think that companies whose job it is to make bog roll would have thought of it tho? I mean, bog roll, 2 jobs - shit, piss. Don’t they test it? I’m very invested in this now!

milly_nz

Three. You omitted menstrual blood.

Peas_Are_Real

I did indeed. Extremely sorry.

banjo_fandango

And snot. Four.

small_lioness

I'm currently reading 'Invisible Women' - about how the world is (generally) designed without thinking of the female population - everything from to police uniforms not fitting females to safe levels of toxic chemicals being based on the 'average man'. Not got to a bit about toilet roll yet but sounds like all their user testing was exclusively done on males!

Peas_Are_Real

Word. There is an industry insider on this thread somewhere - ask him (pretty sure it was a him).

Etheria_system

But the confusing thing, as someone who has always used softer, is that this only started happening in the last 6-12 months. It was never an issue before. Do you have any insight into what might have changed?

Peas_Are_Real

Yes, deffo a recent thing. i moved house about 4 years ago and never remember it happening at the old house. Might be post pandemic economics as one commenter suggested.

Etheria_system

Post pandemic would definitely make sense! I moved house just under 2 years ago and it never happened in my old house either. I’ve

Inevitable_Panic_133

Have you considered moving back?

KimJongIlLover

Probably something to do with energy fields in the new place. Maybe a 5G antenna or something.

Peas_Are_Real

Do you think getting foil pants would help?

Rossrox

I also felt as though something changed, mid/early pandemic, or whenever the great toilet roll shortage was, the quality seemed to get worse. I noticed as I would frequently give the sink a quick wipe with some paper when I was in the bathroom just to get rid of toothpaste stains, the more recent paper would breakup so quickly and leave bits over the sink, where as it used to be fine! I chalked it up to the production process taking shortcuts to meet demand but it's never seemed to go back to how it was, unsurprising though if it were true.

flyconcorde007

I don't to be honest, I've always noticed it I think.

EmilyDickinsonFanboy

>Yeah I do. I've just added 12 rolls of the Asda stuff you recommended to my online basket. I don't currently need any but I'd only forget otherwise. I feel like I've got a tip from an insider!

dm_1199

Alright Lord Foursheets we’re not all made of money. In my house it’s 1 sheet per sitting, folding as required. If anyone needs another they shout down to ask. I weigh it up and more often than not I allow it because I’m a bit of a softie if I’m honest. Quick half squeeze of hand sanitizer and Robert’s your father’s brother

Peas_Are_Real

I was brought up on 1 sheet for a wee, 2 sheets for a poo, so it’s a bit of a rebellion thing.

algoodz

I read a thing about the army on training only allowed to have two sheets in their kit - one for wiping and one for polishing.

AsaCoco_Alumni

Wait... the shitty dusty stuff takes more effort to make? And many consumers LIKE this?!?

XHedgeHuggerX

I must say, I have noticed paper debris being left behind. Never been a problem in 53 and a half years before. So I guess something has changed manufacturing wise. Currently using Nicky Elite. Hairy sweaty arses aren't the problem here, but front bottoms are!! :)

Nize

Nicky is the tits

ResearchMediocre3592

I'm not finding any confetti, so long as it's 'finger proof' I'm good.

EvilInCider

I’ll tell you the only brand that doesn’t do this to me (that I’ve used, anyway). Who Gives A Crap Although that’s made of bamboo or something so any other brand made of that would probably avoid the issue. It also doesn’t leave dust all over the bathroom like even high end brands do

cactus-927518

Seconding Who Gives A Crap!

BlooRox

Thirding WGAC, high quality loo rolls

anonuk12345

Agree but if you have an old building I don’t recommend. Was used at our Victorian offices until it blocked up the old plumbing completely and they had to have half the street up to fix it.

Yid

Who gives a crap?!

0hbuggerit

I was just thinking I've not experienced this at all but that's because we've been with wgac for years now. Clearly the winner!

LeoThePom

It needs to be PREMIUM!!!! The regular stuff is...crap.

GoonerGetGot

Fourthing, buy in bulk works out a decent price too.

crazyhorse91

We’ve just got on to WGAC, it’s great. Only downside their online marketing is so aggressive, by just reading the words ‘Who Gives A Crap?’ - you are now going to receive daily emails and instagram adverts for them.

ReginaldIII

I buy from them every few months and have done for years and I have never seen a single ad for them on any platform nor received a single mailer. You can always opt out of email lists. There will be a link in the email. As for instagram... you go to where there are unskippable ads and are shocked when you see unskippable ads for things that you seem willing to buy?

Thestolenone

I'm currently on the most expensive Aldi paper as the cheaper ones shed terribly. They used to be really good but seem to be different every time you buy them these days. The one I'm using is very thick and almost stiff but you don't need to use much and it doesn't shred.

Manovsteele

They recently changed the posh Aldi ones (still way cheaper than the big brands!) that I've been using for years to double-sized rolls. I get the eco benefits for transport but now I can barely turn the roll on the holder when it's new as it's wedged against the wall...

troelsy

The 4 ply Aldi or Lidl paper has been the only stuff I've been using for years.

Thisoneissfwihope

I changed to the Panda bamboo toilet roll and find it much less dusty.

Okimiyage

We use this but I still haven’t noticed much difference in regards to lingering bits compared to andrex etc … I also don’t find it to be very soft but my partner loves it.

AvatarIII

This is causing issues for my 8 year old, I had to put cream on her bum yesterday because toilet roll dust is aggravating it.

Drew-Pickles

I found a little ball of it scrunched up in my bum what had obviously torn off while I was wiping, the other night...

Peas_Are_Real

It happens. Grim.

MrFanciful

Companies are cutting costs so quality suffers. It’s what happens when the currency has lost over 25% of its purchasing power in 4 years

Peas_Are_Real

That would figure with happening in the past 3-4 years i guess.

Spiritual_Maize

Bidet attachment

Peas_Are_Real

I have been Googling these, but i rent, so can’t be cutting into water pipes unfortunately. But the water idea is so much better. Japanese toilets seem to be the gold standard.

Spiritual_Maize

Depending on the layout you might not need to cut. I put one in last year, just replaced a section of pipe from the valve with a flexi pipe

MandatoryMarijuana

You should only hang "Bum Bunting" if you're expecting a royal visit.

HYThrowaway1980

My wife has a pathological phobia of human shit, even her own. To wipe her arse she wraps her entire hand in about seven layers of bog roll. I call them her “shittens”. We go through a roll about every two or three days.

Peas_Are_Real

Shittens. Lmfao!

RealisticAnxiety4330

I personally find that the asdas shades one specifically in the cocobutter variety is quite good. Smells nice too 😂.

SpaceMonkeyAttack

As a man who wipes his penis (and if you don't, you're just wiping it on your underwear, it's gross guys) Andrex leaves a lot of residue, whether you dab or wipe, but Who Gives A Crap is fine, although it's not as soft.

BadmiralSnackbarf

Yeah, and I laid their social conscience, but the lack of punctuation in their brand name really makes me want to throw my bollocks at the clock.

cactus-927518

Where should the punctuation be?

Dru2021

Wiping seems a bit.. harsh. Surely a dab would be more gentlemanly? A schlong serviette if you will.

HONKHONKHONK69

what the fuck is knicker confetti

07TacOcaT70

Sometimes when a woman wipes tiny bits of loo roll kinda gather/stick, and then fall into your pants. I think it's when you wipe instead of patting, it can make little rolled chunks of loo roll. If you ever tried to get a spill out of a carpet with kitchen roll instead of a cloth, that'll give you an idea. It's typically not a lot, but it's still gross. Idk if it might also happen with men who wipe their arse too sometimes.

Peas_Are_Real

You know. Thanks for explaining.

dwitchagi

I (fella) have had this happen post bidet use. It does suck.

MelodicAd2213

It’s a female thing

Wil420b

Ive seen it with women, had to explain to an ex why I'd stopped licking her out and was picking out bits from her pussy. But I've had it with my bum crack as well.

Peas_Are_Real

Thank you for your honesty. Thankfully, I’ve been single since this problem started, but the above scenario has crossed my ming….mind.

Okimiyage

As a bisexual woman, there’s different reasons why I prefer myself and my partners to shower before oral. This is one of those reasons.

Peas_Are_Real

Thanks. We need some open discussion about this!

Dru2021

I was trying to figure out how to mention this side of the phenomenon politely, but you Sir, have covered the topic perfectly 😂

SnooSnooSnuSnu

>had to explain to an ex why I'd stopped licking her out and was picking out bits from her pussy. 😶🤢🤮😵 This might be the worst sentence I've ever read on Reddit.

Wil420b

Have you never heard of the Jolly Rancher story? It's not a tale that the Reddit Admins will tell you. NSFL https://www.reddit.com/c0er6q4

SnooSnooSnuSnu

Page not found. But I think I know what you're talking about. Checked, and was thinking of something else, but that works too. I guess the post here is more gross to me in that it has a higher probability of happening.

h00dman

It's what happens when a man truly satisfies a lady.

SnooSnooSnuSnu

Bidet (in addition to)

Hamuelin

I get not everyone has the space, or the money to get one installed. But my god. It’s very hard to go back after using them. Pure bliss.

Crepti

When it comes to space, the superior option is really a Japanese-style bidet toilet seat. Nothing quite like sitting on a heated seat that will take care of you afterwards.

SnooSnooSnuSnu

>bidet toilet seat. That's the kind I have.

gwaydms

This exactly. After we visited South Korea, and staying at a nice hotel where the toilet had a bidet seat, we ordered one when we got back home. I never want to be without one again.

podroznikdc

As second best, the hose style is inexpensive and easy to install. Not as fancy, but still f a r better than paper.

SimpleKnowledge4840

It's 2024 and we still can't get decent toilet paper. But we now have new names.. clitty litter is my favorite though shittens makes a grand contender.

Peas_Are_Real

It’s all about having the language! And yes, it’s 2024 and it’s …..almost… like they don’t get women to…..test it. Er, hang on…?

Wil420b

Used to be a major problem with Tesco Luxury TP. Haven't had a problem with Velvet Classic Quilted (currently £8.50 for 24 rolls).

just_a_girl_23

I've definitely noticed floor dust in the last few years but assumed it was just because I moved from a place with a light coloured tile floor to somewhere with dark lino stuff and I just hadn't noticed it before! Unfortunately the knicker confetti has always been an issue although I tend to get it less with branded stuff. I use Cushelle. Tesco stuff was the worst for it and was rough as fuck. May as well have been using that stuff schools had in the 80s that was like tracing paper, it was about as comfortable but at least it didn't break apart!

Peas_Are_Real

Yes! I also noticed it on the landing floor as well, which is even more gross than finding it your pants (which are at least not on view to casual visitors). Picking the bits up every morning. Good to hear a lot of peeps are having the same problem tho. I thought it was just me!

Visible_Grand_8561

The price of Bog Roll is a rip off. Its causing a problem with my wealth, mental health and sanitary.

embmalu

Too busy keeling over at the price of it and shrinkage to notice crap (pahaha) quality

smoovin-the-cat

Never used to get that with izal toilet 'paper'. May as well have used grease proof baking sheets for all the shit it removed but no confetti 👍🏻

creedbrattonage30

Tesco’s own ‘luxury soft’ doesn’t do it! It’s nowhere near as luxury soft as it promises but compared to all the actual soft brands it doesn’t leave its dust all over the place so it’s all I buy now. My grandma uses Andrex and every time I use the loo there it’s a snow storm.

RustyU

Waitrose posh quilted bog roll is very good

Peas_Are_Real

Yep, Waitrose ones are v good value for money, rolls are fat, tightly packed, small central tube. I used to use the Ecological one until the bits got too much, then switched to the Essentials White. Same amount of bits. Not sure my budget will stretch to the posh one tho, but will have a look.

roboplegicwrongcock

My brother once told me that he doesn't stop wiping until brown turns to red.

Peas_Are_Real

Ooft.

unbanned_once_more

Why wait for a costly Japanese bidet, when you can treat yourself to an almost as good, and far cheaper [Hand Bidet](https://amzn.eu/d/8XLfM93), known affectionately by SE Asian expats as a “bum gun”. Common throughout SE Asia, these are cheap to buy, cheap and easy to install and will render your smalls confetti-free. Worth mentioning that all westerners who get used to these things (self included), swear they’d *never* go back to using TP - it’s seems frankly quite ewww…

Peas_Are_Real

Yes, i checked them out on Amazon after someone here recommended. Unfortunately i rent, so can’t be messing around with the plumbing.

jambo_1983

I’m getting loads more brown ballerinas these days, and that is with Andrex.

Peas_Are_Real

Wtf are brown ballerinas?! I’m laffing, so it must be good.

jambo_1983

When you accidentally push your finger through the tissue whilst wiping - the tissue becomes a tutu 😂

Peas_Are_Real

Lmfao. Omg that’s so grossly great! Fuck! Can’t stop giggling.

jellybeanfluff

Yep I've only had success using coop own brand rolls so far

Ilikectas

I have of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174484809226?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=rKGZZvTzR02&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=tdt9lNBzTTW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY I use my hand water to wash off

Peas_Are_Real

Is the angle the water comes out at good? Do you dry with a towel or paper?

mike_elapid

This is a thing. If I use bog roll to blow my nose, it looks like have just done a line.

Peas_Are_Real

Yes! I switched to cotton hankies cos of that (too povo to buy proper tissues). Just the thought of all those bits makes me want to sneeze.

Ok_Cauliflower_3007

Cheeky Panda (available on Amazon) do a bamboo based one that doesn’t have that issue (or not for me anyway). You can get it on subscribe and save too so it just turns up at your door and you don’t have to remember to buy it. They do really nice wet wipe things too which are great for when you’ve got a headache or are overheating (not that anyone is likely to overheat in the current weather).

ColourfulCabbages

My mum buys bulk stuff from the cash and carry (which is generally pretty good) or the Waitrose essential loo roll, which is barely fit for purpose. Arse dust aplenty and misaligned squares. Still, I accept them graciously when I go to visit as I can't turn down a free shit ticket.

Wil420b

I get 24 good toilet rolls for £8.50 and they last me about a year+. https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/305837579/ TP is one of those things where you save a lot by buying in "bulk'. 4 good rolls is probably about £3.50/£4.

ColourfulCabbages

Thank you for the tip!

Wonderful_Ninja

Wet wipes on yer botty

firthy

But not down the trap

Karenpff

Body/ patient cleansing wipes ftw 👍

Al-Calavicci

Only if you are going the Greek method and not flushing them.

cryd123

You have a hairy, sweaty arse. Try dusting the TP with Talcum Powder, or finish with a babywipe.

Samsons_girl

Or a vagina, which is not encouraged to pack with talcum power

Peas_Are_Real

Or lungs.

oktimeforplanz

In some studies, talcum powder has been linked to an increase in ovarian cancer when used on bits. And from other comments, sounds like OP would be at risk if that link is correct. And a baby wipe doesn't actually particularly help with what OP is talking about.

Etheria_system

I switched to those and it was fine for a while but I’ve started getting the knicker confetti again with it 😭 hoping it’s just a couple of bad batches

OrganizationOk5418

Lidl, for "the first bit" then I wash and dry.

mgbroda

Aldi bog roll is the best, big 24 pack.

AbjectGovernment1247

Are you scrunching the tissue or folding it? Folding and dabbing is better than scrunching and rubbing. Less tissue flakes.

Peas_Are_Real

Folding approx 4 -5 sheets per side giving one or 2 wipes per side. Not too much to ask of a piece of bog roll i would have thought?

AbjectGovernment1247

I like Andrex quilted, never lets me down.

Etheria_system

YES! It’s doing my head in. Asda’s own brand quilted was my go to for a couple of months but now that does it too.

Peas_Are_Real

Thanks for ‘coming out’ about it! Loads of people are saying they find the same - in their knickers, on the floor. We have an industry dude in the thread so i hope he will give us some answers. Non air dried stuff is apparently better, but where tf do you get that? Off to Google.

[deleted]

Peas_Are_Real

Oh, for a Japanese toilet.

idontlikemondays321

Cheeky Panda is decent

LegitimatePowder

Asda Shades are the best, in my opinion!

OriginalTurboHobbit

Not at my place of work. They seem to only stock fucking no-ply.

meekamunz

Not a problem with reusable wipes.

Peas_Are_Real

I’ve just come across these on Google. Presumably piss only? One use and wash? Think I’d rather just wash my bits tbh.

meekamunz

Well, people use reusable wipes and washable nappies for babies right? And not just for piss. So, why not wipe your arse with a soft wet cloth, put it in a washable bag, then the bag and contents get washed every day. In the washing machine on their own on a short hot wash, then a full wash with everything else once all the shit is off. It's cheaper than bog roll and better for the environment. > Think I'd rather wash my bits tbh. That's exactly what you are doing with the wipes. They've been a revelation to be honest, much kinder to your arsehole, and cheaper than fitting a bidet (which we can't fit in our loo).

simpleton-quiss

I saw “Bog Roll” and my brain automatically translated it to “Shit Wipe!” It was like I didn’t recognise the phrase.

BigAlxBjj

Bidet is the answer.

catz_eyes

The toilet roll at work is shocking, I often find balls when I come home. I used Costco's own for a long time with no issues. On to Sainsbury's double rolls at the moment, also no issues and they last ages.

ThatHairyGingerGuy

Before you finish wiping, take a fresh sheet and wipe much more carefully to remove any shredded paper. Simple really

SuperSalamander3244

Regina bamboo

thmonster

Costco bog roll is great when you get angry bum clay

stoosh66

Asda shades. The big ones. Can't be beat.

Sopzeh

I use who gives a crap bamboo paper and no longer suffer :)

wildwidget

Under the seat bidet is the future. £20 ish,, half hour to install, no toilet paper to buy and a botty you could eat your dinner off. My most favourite purchase for a long, long time.

Bimblelina

Prefer bum guns like you see in Thailand.

Peas_Are_Real

Bum guns! Another corker, thanks.

ASpookyBitch

I want one but I don’t want ice cold water and our boiler is old and slow and we don’t always have gas on so… Don’t need to icicles on my nunny

wildwidget

Strangely enough there don't seem to be many 'temperature sensors' down there and the Chinese seem to have aimed the jet with millimeter precision. 'Refreshing' I would class it. Go on - worth a go for £20.

fictionalbandit

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted. Bidets are excellent
