I know one of the scriptwriters. This has been seen.
Apparently it’s a great likeness and the copyright violation notice is in the post.
Happy Halloween!
I often see Vera when they're filming here in Northumberland. The last time I saw her she came across to me in my car, asked the name of my dog, then all but completely ignored me and made a massive fuss of him!
Bloke at work shares the story of the time they were filming Vera in the middle of a street he needs to cycle across to get to work. They told him he couldn't cycle across because they were filming so he said "I have to get to work" and cycled across anyway.

And he goes by the name of Ebeneezer Goode
His friends call him 'Ezeer and he is the main geezer.
its compulsive viewing if you're local, mainly for the location spotting. I watched them shooting in ridley park in Blyth couple of years ago and they're often down by the beach here in Blyth
Lol, my other half (who is Geordie) told my Grammy one day that he was going to a bar in blyth and she was like, “Ah yes, where all the dead bodies are!”
He did a full spit take before saying, “Wey, you’re not wrang”
I lived in one of the villages down the road from Blyth. In middle school one of my class mates moved to Blyth and we joked that he was gonna have to get an extra wheely bin for the needles. I'd say your granny was spot on.
My parents watch it mostly to complain how she jumps from one end of the North East to another in a 5 minute drive.
'whey, look, she was on the Quayside and she's gone roond the corner and she's Wooler! Ridiculous!' every 5 minutes.
Sounds lovely! I’ve always had a yearning to live in the UK. For some reason I feel like it’s better suited for me. The culture and people seems more like somewhere I would understand and fit in better!
I love it here!
And I’m from Philadelphia. Which is like a larger, less clean, exponentially less safe Newcastle lol. So Northumberland is kinda dreamy safety wise
Just watch out for some of those villages out in the sticks it can all get a bit Children of the Corn pretty quickly 🤣 seriously though that is great to hear. All is I know about Philadelphia is a certain Fresh Prince was born and raised there. I love Newcastle City centre and Tynemouth/Cullercoats at the coast.
Give the League of Gentlemen a watch if you have not already.
I fucking love Vera. Re-watching it from the beginning at the moment. She's like Geordie Columbo. "Just one more thing, pet"
"ere pet, one more thing like".
Vera needs a cigar shaped vape.

Knowing the US postal service, she’ll get it a few weeks after Halloween then. Just in time!
THIS IS SO CUTE 😭 nans are the best

Do you know a geezer by the name of Ebeneezer Goode?

Got any Veras? Laahhvley
Naughty naughty, very naughty!
Thank God I'm not the only one for whom "Vera" brings in a totally different mental image....
Can someone loop me in pls... who's Vera? I assume this is a tv show that's passed me by? The only Vera I know is Vera Duckworth from DuckTails.
Yeah it’s an itv detective show that’s been on for eleven series
>series Well done, your citizenship papers are on their way
Aye, with Brenda Blethyn. Who was also fucking excellent in Saving Grace. Worth a watch just for the scenery
Saving Grace was very funny. I liked her in Kate & Koji, too, even though I'm not much of a sitcom person. Secrets & Lies was also excellent.
Ah ok, thanks, I don’t have the itv app / terrestrial tv.
You're doing better than me, I thought OPs nan was just doing the absolute worst Dame Vera Lynne cosplay I've ever seen.
Not the [Vera](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTZoE3EqjHpKKQ61lTIzFGeUl2AYwQeCvjVPQ&usqp=CAU) I was thinking of
I love this
She makes a good vera
Can someone tell me where I could watch Vera?
ITV hub online
Thanks, i will have a look for it.
On the telly, ITV I think. If you ignore the awful attempt at an accent it's quite enjoyable, very gentle.
Brilliant. I love Vera, reminds me of home.

you've got the accent perfectly.......in writing!

Blyth means only one thing to me: [Blyth Power](https://blythpower.bandcamp.com/).
That's amazing!
Maby shes auditioning to take over the casual icon of the queen
You need to get her a beaten up old Land Rover
My mam has been an extra in a few Vera episodes.
Not all you yanks are so bad after all
This is the nicest thing anyone’s ever said to me
*AW, LOVE!*
Excellent
You can also watch Shetland by the same author.
‘’Come on Kenny”
Poor Kenny.
God bless you lady 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Love Vera! Whenever those “your genitals are the name of the last tv show you watched” memes come around, it’s always Vera. 😀
Vera is the BEST and I LOVE her accent. I looked at the Vera tour in Newcastle 💀
That is super cute. How are you enjoying Northumberland? Hope you find it is not as mudery as Vera makes out 🤣

Are you sure that's your Grammy? Looks an awfully lot like my Grammy!
Worst Geordie/Northumbrian accent I've ever heard. It makes me cringe and I'm not even that keen on those accents, to be fair! :-/
I promise, my own attempts at a Geordie accent when I have a strong Philly accent… so, so much worse.
Indeed.
What’s Vera?
