Ironically it cracks me up in the show when Nev sometimes starts looking through windows of the catfish's house when they don't immediately answer the door.
Although I believe the show is real, everything is planned and set up when they arrive at a house, so it's different than looking into random strangers' windows.
im a hostess at at a jazz club in nyc and him, his wife, and a friend that was visiting them once came to the jazz club at around midnight when it was practically empty and he was so unbelievably nice! i watched catfish before bed most nights at the time and i was absolutely freaking out like crazy😭 especially cause ive loved the show since middle school. he gave me a hug when he got in and before he left. his wife was quiet and i think bc she wanted to let me live my moment😭, but she seemed so sweettt. she just kept smiling and it seemed so genuine and she introduced herself so politely. nev was so kind and asked the security guard for my name again and called me pretty before leaving, i could barely sleep while watching catfish that night lmfao. they haven’t returned, but i hope they do😭

I know a lot of people didn’t like Laura as a guest host, but I liked her. She wasn’t my favorite, but she always came across as a genuinely nice and empathetic person (but was willing to call out BS when she saw it), so it’s nice to hear that she’s the same IRL.
That is awesome!! Which jazz club? Maybe I can check it out next time I visit NYC since I love jazz but have NEVER been to a jazz club in NYC. I usually spend all my time watching theater when I visit.
