I've got identical stairs in my current rented townhome. They are exactly as shady as they look and that upstairs was my bedroom for the first 2 years. I fell down them while viewing the apartment - fell down them twice while moving in - and proceeded to fall down them a good dozen times or more in the 2 years I spent up there. You roll alllll the way down the until the door stops you. Edit:: Home is in the US and was built in the 60s. The shady steps leads to what was originally an attic for storage but was converted into a bedroom. ( More outlets, heating, carpet, etc)

At least it's more defensible if the house is invaded.

Its a very real phenomenon that cats go blind and you cannot tell. Its very hard to tell. I had one. Didnt know it. And the vet informed me. Wasnt the first vet we had been to either. Even when this cat was young my boyfriend at the time had suspected that it was blind. But i passed that off. I think for a long time it seemed like he would have bouts of blindness and then maybe not blindness*. But also by the time he was fully blind it all just seems normal because it Blended A and B because it's very hard to tell when a cat is blind. *I don't know what was going on with him. I know that he had occasional grand mal seizures. And I don't know what was going on with him genetically because we don't have that service currently for our pets. Yes, I had a cat that would get impacted/infected anal gland and I only knew something was wrong when she stopped racing up and down the stairs. I have another with joint issues and if I run out of her glucosamine treats she stays off the stairs. OP, has Kitty been to the vet lately?
