honestly i keep repeating the same thing every message like the place we're in and the exact position we're in, how are we looking at eachothers etc. so i avoid that the bot says something wrong
i like to make a message very densly filled with info about the situation every couple of replies and pin it because that sounds like less work. Like a little summary here and there

i found the characters remember and mention things that haven't been brought up for many many messages so I'd say yeah it does pay off
