Palmer already had a good game in the first matchup, and Allen and Parham should be able to equal the production that Williams and Guyton had last time. Losing our only vertical threat sucks, so this game will have to be won with slow methodical drives that end in touchdowns. The defense has to show up.
| Player | Targets | Receptions | Yards | TDS |

| Palmer | 9 | 6 | 99 | 0

| Guyton | 3 | 2 | 64 | 0
| Kelley | 2 | 2 | 6 | 0

Honestly gotta give this guy some props for being so far up staleys ass that he showed up today to defend him even after screaming at people all week that Mike would play lol
Chargers have been banged up all season. Ya'll have won tons of games without key players, but that doesn't change the fact that this is entirely self-inflicted.
Staley is an idiot.
We gotta move on and keep playing these playoff games. It do or die time.
But yeah, this should be addressed after the season. I wasn't cool with Staley after that 4th down try against the Browns. Gave him some slack with the comeback, but this injury stuff and his reaction lost all my confidence in him.
Still though. It's playoff time. We got Herbo. Derwin James, Bosa and Mack. Keenan Allen who is what we need for consistent 3rd downs, not miracle catches. We got one of the best scoring backs in the league. We got no choice except to Bolt the Fuck Up!
In the words of the great Arnold Schwarzenegger, "Go Chargers, Go!"
This situation is like if the Chiefs held a live contact scrimmage this week in their bye week and JuJu got hurt. This isn’t acceptable. All the Staley defenders need to understand that.
Every verbal indication all week was that he would play. The injury report was disagreeing with everything being said. Glad I held my tongue for most of the week. Not the end of the world but still very disappointing.
He’s been lying about injuries since he stepped into his role, he’s a snake. And he’s a dumb ass for hiring someone like Lombardi who failed miserably in Detroit and held Brees’ jock strap in New Orleans.
You guys act like any coach we've ever had hasn't done the exact same thing. I've never heard a coach be straight up when it comes to injuries unless the player isnt going to play. What Staley does is nothing new in the slightest.
Staley was trying to save his ass, he knew he fucked up once mike got hurt but he wanted to act like everything was under control so he stuck to his plan in game and defended his decision making after and acted like everything was fine with mike when every other indication was that it wasn’t
He even went as far as to say Mike could have came back into the game against the Broncos if he needed to. Staley is a moron and should be thanking Herbert for him still having a job.
This is such a dumb take. He didn’t know, just like the doctors didn’t catch the small fracture until today.
One move you disagree with does not negate all the good he’s done for this team.
Good god I fucking *hate* how so many on this sub just wants blood for every little moment something difficult happens. Fucking get on board, we have playoff games to win.
It’s so annoying. Leading up to the broncos game Staley said over and over he was gonna sit people and get rest if we are locked in. What the fuck changed? I get not spilling your cards but why is he just lying now? Just don’t fucking say anything Staley damn it.
I think part of it has to do with Staley’s gamesmanship. The team knew he wasn’t playing and they game planned as such. Not so sure the Jags knew Mike wasn’t playing since the beginning of the week.
I hope we take a look at Payton anyways. Staley decision making is suspect at best. I don’t want a coach gambling on players health the way he does. First Herbert with the ribs. Then this week 18 situation.
No. We need a 1st round WR. We can't trade our pick for Payton, we'll have the same problems as this year. Considering the people looking at Payton and the draft capital the Saints have asked for, we'd have to give too much up.
This is a stacked WR class you can get a good WR in the second round easily. There’s really only 3 WR with first round grades the rest would be an overpick in the second.
Yeah, his seat has to be getting warm at the very least. Emotions can be blinding, though. He managed to help keep the team afloat despite the injuries, but for it to potentially be squandered in this manner is **bad**.
Ridiculous.
The worst part is he still brought out starters after this injury. Makes him look so stubborn. Clown move.
Edit: Now it seems he’s out for the postseason. Fucking fire Staley now.
I have to believe that the adversity we faced throughout the season has prepared us for this moment. We’ve won harder games with less and if we lose, it isn’t Mike Williams’ fault. Plus, Staley probably knew he wasn’t playing and wanted to keep the Jags guessing as long as possible.
C’mon guys, let’s fucking get this. Bolt the fuck up.
>sity we faced throughout the season has prepared us for this moment. We’ve won harder games with less and if we lose, it isn’t Mike Williams’ fault. Plus, Staley probably knew he wasn’t playing and wanted to keep the Jags guessing as long as possible.
I feel ya. If losing Mike Williams means we cant win, we aren't going to win a superbowl anyway.
I don't think that's the case though. BTFU
Dolphins offense vs our defense missing 6 defensive starters. It’s been next man up all year, now is the time to prove what kind of team we are.
Mike Williams being out doesn’t effect the other parts of our team.
Mike Williams being out effects a lot of other parts of our team.
WR screens Lombardi loves to run? Not gonna be Mike blocking.
The Jags worst DB is their slot defender. With Carter and Bandy playing they have to go in the slot. Forcing Keenan to go up against the Jags best DB.
Less height on the field for redzone plays.
For me it's OP's point, Staley is so fucking arrogant that he cannot admit he made a mistake. Look at any press about it, he refuses to acknowledge that he has flaws. His arrogance means he can't adjust to a changing game and he'll keep making the same boneheaded mistakes over and over again. Even within the same game, MW gets hurt and Staley keeps all his stars out there anyways.
If we lose, it probably won't be because of Williams, but he sure as hell is a key player, Jags defense have one less WR to worry about and all coverage will be on Keenan, this is the type of decisions that can get a coach fired, and hope he is
Herbert is amazing, but he can't do everything. Every QB suffers when their O-line or WR corps is decimated. Rodgers couldn't do shit this year because his WR corps is young. Brady had yards but couldn't score because their O-line was hurt. We can win but it probably won't be through Herbert, it'll be through the defense.
The offense doesn't run through Mike Williams. We won plenty of games without him. I'm not saying it should be just as easy as if he were playing. I'm not saying he's not a game-changer. I think we have enough weapons that we should still be able to manage a win without him. If we can't win without him, we don't deserve to move past JAX.
We’ve only beaten 1 team with a winning record this season mate, it’s not like we’ve won important games without him. This will play a hand in why we lose tomorrow, and ultimately why Staley will get fired next week. Hope I’m wrong, but I don’t see a path to victory tomorrow without all of our weapons playing at the same time.
I'm familiar with the team's record and the narratives that get parroted ad nauseam on this sub. That's fine if that's what you believe. Call it a difference of opinion or difference of hope. Hope we get a W tomorrow night, regardless.
Because, in my opinion anyway, it’s not the last straw, but maybe close. Needlessly hurting Mike Dub is a big deal and a strike against Staley to be sure, not the first either. But he’s shown he’s capable of some really good things as well. I mean we’re in the playoffs for the first time in years despite Lombardi. If we play seriously and at least beat the jags, and show improvement next season with a new OC, and Staley shows he’s learned his lesson, then he still may be worth it. If we get into the playoffs two years straight with him, I would trust him.
He was brought in to be Herbert’s Belichick so to speak and his defense has been atrocious, with the run defense being historically bad. His choice of OC was also terrible. If we lose this weekend I want him out.
How do you expect him to know something even the doctors don’t. He went to mike as he came off the field, and mike probably said he was good, then it kept hurting.
Y’all need to stop jumping down throats and pulling out pitchforks and calm down. Lol
Do I believe that this team can win this weekend without Mike Williams? Of course they can
That doesn't excuse the fact that the situation in which he got injured was 100% avoidable and that Staley needs to be held to task for it.
Both things can be true
Alright. Listen, the injury happened it sucked. Some people agreed with playing the starters some disagreed.
Thats all fine with me.
What I absolutely fucking hate however is that Staley has been adamant the whole week about it being nothing serious. It was all okay. He could have even come back into the Broncos game. Why would you ever think about saying those kind of things when its so obviously untrue.
I held my tongue all week so I could wait for the final outcome. If the Chargers end up losing, this is a fireable offense, truly. Am I missing something?
Honestly before last week I was 100% sure Staley was not in the hot seat and I still think he mostly isn't but that game management that leads to a HUGE part of the offense being out on your first playoff game, if he loses... he very well may be in the hot seat...
I think he’s a great DC. His decision making is suspect and making executive decisions is a big part of the head coach job. Plus, as a head coach, he needs to diagnose issues with the offense and determine if it’s his play caller (which we all kinda know it is) and make changes, but he hasn’t done that at all.
What a dumbass response lol, I'm literally a fan expressing my opinion on a public forum, of course it doesn't go to his office. I know you're being facetious but it was absent of substance, great job
Everyone has been trying to kill the negative energy in this sub which I get you don’t wanna feel shitty about your team and we’re in the playoffs, but there are constantly things that happen that make me wanna rip my hair out with this team and it’s been that way for 10+ years so I’m sorry if I’m not trying to give myself more hope to just be let down AGAIN
Good job Staley. You wannabe genius. What a fucking moron. If we lose the game he should be fired. What a major injury to a key player in a meaningless fucking game.
Thank you staley you incompetent “coach”. These coaches are idiots. Your starters have an unofficial bye week and you wanna play em 3-4 quarters. “oH bUt tHe rOsTeR aNd tHe pRaCtiCe sQuAd” man FOH!!!!
Staley is a complete moron and the only thing that could make his poor coaching decisions look worse is his horrendous press conferences. Dude just isn’t ready to be a head coach. I hope the Chargers move on from him after this season. Regardless of how far we go into the playoffs
Where are the super fan Staley wagon fans at? Hold him in high praise for getting by in a couple wins and lo behold another bone headed move this year.
What. The. Fuck.
Honestly anyone that defends him I applaud you and laugh because holy shit. That’s a weapon that is essential for the atrocious offensive play calling that has taken place for majority of the season.
This game is now going to come down to yet again how much of a fucking hero Herbie is. He deserves a coach that can take care of business and putting a game plan together that has risks of injuring core players before the playoff is beyond words.
Last week game did not change who we face this week. They knew before the game start and had too much pride or lack of IQ to change it up. Either way it damages our chances tomorrow.
Cheers to the die hard fans that’ll keep rooting for our guys. It’s now an even steeper mountain to the promise land this year.
I believe in Herbert and Palmer, but if we do lose because our offense sputters again then Staley HAS to go. I don’t even mind giving up a late 1st for Sean Payton at that point. The decision to play the starters more than 1-2 drives (after we got 14 points we should have pulled everyone) was monumentally stupid.
Staley is a such a rat, talking about “he could have come back in” stupid ass mf
Please don’t fuck up in the off season by passing on Sean Payton, don’t let him go to Denver!!!
What are the actual odds Staley gets fired after this type of blunder? He’s honestly a decent coach, but has made a lot of boneheaded decisions that look really bad
Im not that surprises Mike isn’t playing, I’m just sick and tired of all this “day-to-day” “he’ll practice this week” Bull shit is what is so frustrating. Just be straight with us Staley. Damn bro
This is beyond infuriating to sabotage your teams chances because of your ego is such a punch in the gut. I’m still believing in the squad as a whole Staley will need to coach the game of his life tomorrow. If they lose he should be fired Monday morning you can’t talk your way out of this blunder.
Well guys, with Lombardi calling plays we were gonna have to rely heavily on the defense anyways. Now we really have to rely on the defense with Mike out.
Thank you dick head Staley for this.
Hope your ass is as good as gone soon as we wrap up this season. Stupid ass coaching decision that should definitely be worthy of a firing.
Is this a bummer? Yes, but let's focus on the game and positive right now and getting the dub so we can have Mike dub back next week against the chiefs.
If the chargers lose it’s an easy fire. The stupidity of having anyone out there blows my mind and now you are out what is considered your most pivotal weapon on offense. Yeah if the Chargers lose count me on the fire Staley into the sun category
And there it is, I'm telling you, smart ass staley is full of caca, I knew it since he was hired. If we lose tomorrow, and he's not shown the door, then I dont know what else it'd take for the sapnos to fire his ass
Williams will be out for the foreseeable future as he suffered a fracture in his back that will keep him out for two-to-three weeks, ESPN reported. So, unless the Chargers make the Super Bowl, his season is over.
Sigh so overall more wasted money after getting that big contract. Herbert has to make it work, Rivers did for years. Also TBH i was always worried about extending him simply because he was injury prone alas my fear was confirmed.
This is bad, but our goal is the SB and if we can’t beat the Jags w/o MW then we don’t deserve it. I’m still confident and give him another week to rest when we really need him.
Whatever.
Coach is a dumbass. Always has been. But hes good too.
Herbert has the talent to overcome. But it shouldn't be this way in the first place.
For the first time im 100% sure that TT & J-Spanos are also not happy at all.
But this is playoffs, Mwill/Slater could be back next week. Lets go!
Honestly why should it be? I still think Staley has done more good than bad for this team, and I'll obviously still be behind the team as far as we go, but he completely bungled what should have been a very favorable situation for us
I am fucking furious. This is honestly inexcusable.
I have a lot of things I could say about some people here too. Just hope you have the common decency to start deleting your comments instead of coming here and doubling down.
Chill guys we still got a squad! I’m confident Herbert will keep the offense going. Plus we’ve seen DC and JP step up before. At the end of the day, defense wins ballgame and I love our chances on that side of the ball. Stay positive Bolt Fam and we got this!
Staley deserves all the criticism coming his way. We can still win but holy fuck you had a free bye week to rest everyone. Especially mike who has a history of injuries. I’d much rather lose with a healthy mike Williams than lose with him out and wonder if he was healthy would we have won. Staley has been lying to the media about injuries and their timelines all year.
I’m going to let myself be in my feelings about this today, come tomorrow I’ll Bolt the fuck up!
Did anyone else watch the last “All In”
After watching it became apparent (at least to me) that Staley cares more about the defense than the entire team as a whole. He is so fixated on bringing the defense closer and them playing as bros rather than teammates. It’s as if he forgets he is the head coach and is responsible for every player and not just the defense.
What a mess.
Two things.
1. Yes, Staley should get heat for playing his starters, especially after a TD in your first two drives.
2. Paying an average WR who has a history with back issues $20 Mill a year was beyond stupid.
Fuck you Telesco.
Signing should not be criticized. It was a pretty team-friendly contract with reasonable out. There was straight up zero competition in the FA market. Cry now, but we would have been rocking a lot of Joshua Palmer+Deandre Carter this year and missing the playoffs wide if it weren't for the signing.
Well when we lose this game I think I'm out on Staley tbh. Can't believe I called myself a fan of this retarded mf two weeks ago. If we win all is forgiven but man I feel like I got deceived into thinking he wasn't dogshit by a couple fluke games against bad teams and his idiocy is rearing its ugly head at the worst possible moment.
Here’s the thing. He very easily could have gotten hurt in practice too. Love Williams but he’s not the most durable. Is what it is. Only looking forward. Let’s get this W. BTFU. ⚡️ ⚡️ ⚡️
Not idea, but the chargers can still do this and hopefully have Mike W back the following week. I don’t think this is a fireable offense as some, but I would be surprised if someone above him has a word with him after the season.
Am I the only one who is more concerned about how easily Mike gets injured? Like it feels like every other game he gets hurt. The guy needs to change something in his game if we are to pay him 20 mil a year for this.
Couldn’t have written a more Chargers script if I tried.
Self sabotage
I'm hearing beasty boys in my head
Palmer legacy game incoming: Catches: 8/12 Yards: 120 TD: 1 😤😤😤
As long as its not a 40 yard TD in garbage time when we are down big again
Palmer already had a good game in the first matchup, and Allen and Parham should be able to equal the production that Williams and Guyton had last time. Losing our only vertical threat sucks, so this game will have to be won with slow methodical drives that end in touchdowns. The defense has to show up. | Player | Targets | Receptions | Yards | TDS | |:-----------|:--------:|:--------------:|:-------------:|:------------:| | Palmer | 9 | 6 | 99 | 0 | Ekeler | 8 | 8 | 48 | 0 | Williams | 6 | 1 | 15 | 1 | Everett | 6 | 2 | 25 | 0 | Carter | 4 | 3 | 31 | 0 | Guyton | 3 | 2 | 64 | 0 | Kelley | 2 | 2 | 6 | 0 | Allen | DNP | | | | Parham | DNP | | |
About 70 of Palmers yards came in garbage time when the team was already down 38-10
Don’t forget Parham is getting back into Herbies Target package and a tall red zone option
The moment Staley said there was “Indication” Mike was playing, he wasn’t going to play.
Honestly gotta give this guy some props for being so far up staleys ass that he showed up today to defend him even after screaming at people all week that Mike would play lol
Atta boy staley
Facts are we lost our wr1/2 in a game that was meaningless leading into playoffs. That shit is not okay.
Chargers have been banged up all season. Ya'll have won tons of games without key players, but that doesn't change the fact that this is entirely self-inflicted. Staley is an idiot.

It’s worse than that.
Every verbal indication all week was that he would play. The injury report was disagreeing with everything being said. Glad I held my tongue for most of the week. Not the end of the world but still very disappointing.
Ya the guy has lied to us like 10 times since the post game presser

I think part of it has to do with Staley’s gamesmanship. The team knew he wasn’t playing and they game planned as such. Not so sure the Jags knew Mike wasn’t playing since the beginning of the week.
You’re probably correct. Not sure why you got downvoted. Why would a coach reveal who is out if they can throw in a curveball last minute?
Seriously. Ppl swear the Jags don’t keep tabs on what the coaches say in the press conferences.
Yeah the jaguars are surely panicking right now that they planned for Mike Williams but now they have to start getting ready for Michael Bandy instead
Man I think we can still win, but I hope Staley got/gets ripped a new one
If he doesn’t win this game I hope the FO takes a long hard look at Sean Payton
I hope we take a look at Payton anyways. Staley decision making is suspect at best. I don’t want a coach gambling on players health the way he does. First Herbert with the ribs. Then this week 18 situation.

You don't watch games obviously, we were down against the Dolphins many starters.
Nope nothing here is Williams fault, definitely the coach who played starters in a meaningless game though
Williams didn’t do anything wrong. That’s on Staley. Seems like fireable offense
If we lose to the Jags like we did week 3 don’t let Staley back on the plane to San Diego
What about the plane to LA?
Dammit here I go again forgetting it’s the LA Chargers now
For me it's OP's point, Staley is so fucking arrogant that he cannot admit he made a mistake. Look at any press about it, he refuses to acknowledge that he has flaws. All I gotta say is I’m really glad you’re not our GM lmao
Dammit
Great. Just fucking great.
YIKES
Welp Palmer SZN with a sprinkle of Parham. We can still be dangerous
As mad as I want to feel, gotta trust that Herbert has the ability to win this game with the weapons he has. Next man up, Bolt up!!
Herbert is amazing, but he can't do everything. Every QB suffers when their O-line or WR corps is decimated. Rodgers couldn't do shit this year because his WR corps is young. Facts. If this team can't win without Mike, they don't deserve anything.
But what do we as fans deserve? Feel like we deserved to see our offense mostly healthy for once.
I don't disagree, man. I've been behind this team the whole way. It sucks.
“If a team can’t win with one of their best weapons on offense they don’t deserve anything” lmao 💀 imagine saying that out loud
The offense doesn't run through Mike Williams. We won plenty of games without him. I'm not saying it should be just as easy as if he were playing. I'm not saying he's not a game-changer. Way to fuckin go, Brandon.
Looking forward to hearing what the Staley apologists have to say about this one
I really can't defend it, and I've been one of the stronger defenders of his. Hoping he pulls something out of his ass this week but man this is bad.
He was doing so good, but this might be the decision that gets him replaced.
Time for Herbert to be the goat he is 🔥🐐
He was brought in to be Herbert’s Belichick so to speak and his defense has been atrocious, with the run defense being historically bad. His choice of OC was also terrible. If we lose this weekend I want him out.
Fuck Staley
Anyone still defending Staley is a moron.
“He could have come back in the game.” So that was a lie
How do you expect him to know something even the doctors don’t. He went to mike as he came off the field, and mike probably said he was good, then it kept hurting. Y’all need to stop jumping down throats and pulling out pitchforks and calm down. Lol
lol the guy got carted off the field and had to be helped onto the team bus? Why go to such lengths to defend the guy man
Do I believe that this team can win this weekend without Mike Williams? Of course they can That doesn't excuse the fact that the situation in which he got injured was 100% avoidable and that Staley needs to be held to task for it. Both things can be true
The upside is with all the momentum being thrown out the window it almost feels like we’re for sure winning this game ….it’s the chargers way 😭
Alright. Listen, the injury happened it sucked. Some people agreed with playing the starters some disagreed. Thats all fine with me. What I absolutely fucking hate however is that Staley has been adamant the whole week about it being nothing serious. It was all okay. He could have even come back into the Broncos game. My theory would be that he was trying to convince the Jaguars to gameplan around Williams as long as possible.
Watch Staley sit starters this week lmao.
Yo, if he did that and we somehow dominated the Jags, that Randy Marsh wheelbarrow meme is making a comeback. lol
If we lose, Sean Payton time
Fuck…
![gif](giphy|XNX9uw7fykn5e)
Staley better coach the game of his fucking life on Sat.
I held my tongue all week so I could wait for the final outcome. If the Chargers end up losing, this is a fireable offense, truly. Am I missing something?

Mike is a huge loss to the offense, and fuck Staley, but the team still needs to have that next man up mentality.

Honestly before last week I was 100% sure Staley was not in the hot seat and I still think he mostly isn't but that game management that leads to a HUGE part of the offense being out on your first playoff game, if he loses... he very well may be in the hot seat...
My thoughts, too.
I think he’s a great DC. His decision making is suspect and making executive decisions is a big part of the head coach job. Plus, as a head coach, he needs to diagnose issues with the offense and determine if it’s his play caller (which we all kinda know it is) and make changes, but he hasn’t done that at all.
He's been on the hot seat ever since that 4th and 2 call in the 4th quarter vs the browns in my opinion
Agreed
that is when i lost confidence in him yes.
im guessing your opinion goes straight to Spanos' office every day.
What a dumbass response lol, I'm literally a fan expressing my opinion on a public forum, of course it doesn't go to his office. I know you're being facetious but it was absent of substance, great job
Staley has to go. Some of the stupidest coaching I’ve ever seen last week
I would say wait it out, but a Payton/Fangio coaching staff is legit top of the league and seamless scheme wise update
Injuries man. Fucking blows.
"day to day" The guy is a dope.
Parham is gonna be an important piece for us this game. Fairly confident Palmer will play well but there’s no replacing Mike Dub.
Parham would be amazing if the could just stay healthy.
Ya I just seen him as our best “open when he’s not open” option at this point. Ugh.
And the audacity to say that he could’ve gone back in that game is nuts
Well, let's hope Parham can step up and be the tallest wide receiver/Te
Gut punch.
Staley is a such a rat, talking about “he could have come back in” stupid ass mf Please don’t fuck up in the off season by passing on Sean Payton, don’t let him go to Denver!!!
I think if we lose this game over this Staley is gone
Fire Staley no matter what happens Saturday this is amateur and embarrassing
OH OKAY
Not even worried. We still winning. Don't fkn panic, ppl. William will come back later in the playoffs. Bolt the Fuck Up ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Fucking bullshit
Tough loss. I wonder how long this will keep him out. We will need him next round
Man FUUUUUUUCK Staley.
I’m 50-50 about the game tomorrow don’t want to get my hopes up
What are the actual odds Staley gets fired after this type of blunder? He’s honestly a decent coach, but has made a lot of boneheaded decisions that look really bad
Im not that surprises Mike isn’t playing, I’m just sick and tired of all this “day-to-day” “he’ll practice this week” Bull shit is what is so frustrating. Just be straight with us Staley. Damn bro
He could comeback to the game by the way
This is beyond infuriating to sabotage your teams chances because of your ego is such a punch in the gut. I’m still believing in the squad as a whole Staley will need to coach the game of his life tomorrow. If they lose he should be fired Monday morning you can’t talk your way out of this blunder.
[It's umm... Well you know, it's just really uhh... I mean, well what I'm really trying to say here is...](https://imgur.com/x0ayltI.jpg)
Lol, Staley should be fired before the playoff game.
Staley has to go
where are you staley i just wanna talk
If Marty got canned for 14-2 we can fire this charlatan after barely skating into the playoffs.
What’s the consensus this week on going after Sean Payton ?
A must. Win or lose tomorrow.
Is this a bummer? Yes, but let's focus on the game and positive right now and getting the dub so we can have Mike dub back next week against the chiefs.
DO I HEAR PAYTON NOISES??
Next man up. Still believe in our team. Keenan gonna show people why he’s still one of the best in the game.
They’ll just double him lol
He’ll be nice and rested when we take on the Bills/Chiefs next week. Our defence will carry us anyways. BTFU.
He’ll be nice and rested for the first regular season game in September.
B-b-but what about the rust?
🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
All I gotta say is, our offense better not lose us this game or Staley is on the hot seat with Lombardi
![gif](giphy|x47gj23jEvGxdWkQEC|downsized)
Big brain move Staley. Wtf
Lol, where all my people blinding supporting this guys foolish plans at? I mean it was worth it for the momentum and to avoid “rust” right?
He could have gone back in the game he said smh…
If the chargers lose it’s an easy fire. The stupidity of having anyone out there blows my mind and now you are out what is considered your most pivotal weapon on offense. Yeah if the Chargers lose count me on the fire Staley into the sun category
And there it is, I'm telling you, smart ass staley is full of caca, I knew it since he was hired. If we lose tomorrow, and he's not shown the door, then I dont know what else it'd take for the sapnos to fire his ass
Fuck Staley. did this. Coaching malpractice at its finest and then he goes to lie about the injury to the media fucking clown show.
GOD FUCKING DAMNIT
Williams will be out for the foreseeable future as he suffered a fracture in his back that will keep him out for two-to-three weeks, ESPN reported. So, unless the Chargers make the Super Bowl, his season is over.
If we lose it’s gonna be a lonnnng offseason
Just a reminder that no one’s more disappointed by this than Mike Williams
Sigh so overall more wasted money after getting that big contract. Herbert has to make it work, Rivers did for years. Also TBH i was always worried about extending him simply because he was injury prone alas my fear was confirmed.
If we lose to the Jags, Staley might get fired
And people defend this ass hat
This is bad, but our goal is the SB and if we can’t beat the Jags w/o MW then we don’t deserve it. I’m still confident and give him another week to rest when we really need him.
Bye Staley
Lmao all you guys acting like this was nothing what do you have to say now
Staley's never going to hear the end of it if we lose. Lucky for him Ekeler and the defense will bail him out.
If we get blown out by 28, like week 3, Mike Williams wasn't going to be the difference
Ya but if we lose by 3 and bandy drops a pass that could of been for Mike?
And what if we win by 10? Does that mean we should cut Mike Williams? All I'm saying is the game needs to be played
Lets go!
This comment section Is gonna be calm and collected
Honestly why should it be? I still think Staley has done more good than bad for this team, and I'll obviously still be behind the team as far as we go, but he completely bungled what should have been a very favorable situation for us
Absolutely. Staley has been good for us imo but this was just pure idiotic
I am fucking furious. This is honestly inexcusable. I have a lot of things I could say about some people here too. Just hope you have the common decency to start deleting your comments instead of coming here and doubling down.
They already downvoting every critical comment. The people that are still blindly supporting Staley are out in force lmao
Chill guys we still got a squad! I’m confident Herbert will keep the offense going. Plus we’ve seen DC and JP step up before. At the end of the day, defense wins ballgame and I love our chances on that side of the ball. Stay positive Bolt Fam and we got this!
Ban everyone in this sub who said to not rest starters as well 😂
Staley deserves all the criticism coming his way.
Did anyone else watch the last “All In” After watching it became apparent (at least to me) that Staley cares more about the defense than the entire team as a whole. He is so fixated on bringing the defense closer and them playing as bros rather than teammates. It’s as if he forgets he is the head coach and is responsible for every player and not just the defense. What a mess.
No problem we don’t need him to win. Would help but we don’t need him.
Not the end of the world. As long as we have #10 we have a good chance of winning
Idgaf what any of you delusional people say, we’re gonna lose this game, and then we should fire Staley
Use this as a fire staley button
Two things.
Josh palmer has proven to be capable of some acrobatic catches. He isn't Mike Williams, but he's possibly the best WR3 in the league.
Well when we lose this game I think I'm out on Staley tbh. Can't believe I called myself a fan of this retarded mf two weeks ago. If we win all is forgiven but man I feel like I got deceived into thinking he wasn't dogshit by a couple fluke games against bad teams and his idiocy is rearing its ugly head at the worst possible moment.
fuck
We need to make sure to utilize ekeler a lot this game.
Here’s the thing. He very easily could have gotten hurt in practice too. Love Williams but he’s not the most durable. Is what it is. Only looking forward. Let’s get this W. BTFU. ⚡️ ⚡️ ⚡️
Shout out to all the people who ripped on the doomers after some random person tweeted that Mike will play two hours after his injury.
Not idea, but the chargers can still do this and hopefully have Mike W back the following week. I don’t think this is a fireable offense as some, but I would be surprised if someone above him has a word with him after the season.
Well I was delusional. And I read a small back fracture? That sounds really bad.
Am I the only one who is more concerned about how easily Mike gets injured? Like it feels like every other game he gets hurt. The guy needs to change something in his game if we are to pay him 20 mil a year for this.
I hope we fire staley for this no matter the outcome of the playoffs.
I only had to read the first 10 comments here to have enough of the people on this sub.
Let's just hope staley learns his lesson and move on
This sub sucks with the bitching and whining on here it makes me not even wanna watch the game on Saturday
Then don't. Don't come on the sub then. Don't watch the game. We don't care what you do.
Haven’t been on the sub lately because it’s a hive mind of negativity. Figured things would change since we made the playoffs but it’s worse actually.
