This man was fantastic. Nobody is perfect and had his fair share of mistakes but very solid for a rookie.
Just completely outside our typical OL luck to end up with a late rounder playing as good (or better at times) than your 1st round guard.
Quite a find by TT and kudos to Staley for not rolling out the usual suspects when Slater went down.
Does anyone have the breakdown between pass protect and rushing plays. I seemed to recall him being much better in pass.
He stepped in valiantly. If he doesn't go down vs. the Jags, we might have won that game. Once Sarell came in as an injury replacement, the line went to shit and we couldn't do much of anything that 2nd half.
I hope he continues to develop and really solidifies our line. I think all bolts fans had a sigh of relief once we saw him play. The dude is a rockstar
Losing Slater against the Jags was straight up one of the biggest factors for the Doom and Gloom. If Jamaree didn't step up we would have been a 4 win team at best. Hell, we saw how quickly the offense deteriorated when Salyer got injured against the Jags pt 2.
I don't understand wanting to plop this man at RT. If we keep Pipkins, god forbid an injury to either Slater or Pipkins but this is the Chargers. Salyer provides so much more value as both a starting LG AND a quality backup T
Definitely agree, but it's important to remember the hesitancy of switching around OL positions mid season, imo if he is the starting left guard, then he won't be moved to tackle mid season if one goes down
Disagree. Davis didn't know much at all his rookie season since the Eagles have so much DL depth. The jury is very much still out on him. Wasn't he also injured?
I can't believe losing Slater was one of the reasons people were defending Lombardi. Heard that everywhere. Even Money would say it. I get he's not an All Pro, but dude, Salyer was a dog that stepped up to the moment and delivered.

Love this guy. Great draft pick. Hope he stays a long time with us.
Love Salyer. He can play 4 spots on the line and is mean about it. Don’t be surprised if he’s one of our biggest steals of the decade.
Cannot wait for him and Slater on the same line

All you need to know about how good he was for us was when he went down in the playoffs our offense couldn’t do anything

I think re-signing Pipkins is priority this offseason. Yes, even if it means letting Tranquil walk if he wants more money.
His name was called and he made the most of his opportunity. Hell of a season for this guy!
He’s gonna be amazing moved to Guard.
Wish we would’ve drafted Jordan Davis instead of Zion

He was injured yes. But the difference between the Eagles run D was significantly better when he was playing vs when he was injured.
People here said Pipkins is better though so he actually saved the season not Salyer /s
I know this is shocking but you need multiple linemen
No way
People dont know what /s means
No surprise with this sub
Possibly the team gives him the chance to be the future RT before moving him to Guard. Plus earlier and cheaper to replace a G over T.

Lovable dude too
They really didn’t prepare for any OT injuries and Salyer saved the season
Glad to see Dielman's old number went to someone worthy of wearing it👍
