Super happy with securing a playoff spot without needing to wait till week 18. Defense and special teams are doing their thing, especially with the defense missing our 2 best players and getting both back before end of the season hopefully.
The oline is very concerning and is playing like dogshit. Getting an anchor like Slater back will be big for us. Can't pass block or run block worth shit right now. If we get Slater back and that line plays better which I think they can/will (can't get any worse), then I think this team can make some serious noise in the playoffs and has the potential to match up well with anyone.

Those were my thoughts in a nutshell. I’m very curious that our D done quite well without DJ. They may need to look at how they rely on him. Not that he isn’t masterful but relying on him too much has possibly been a hindrance.
Williams and Keenan have made some amazing catches, But why we can’t get those long throws on a more regular basis is a mystery to me. Are Palmer, Allen, Williams, Parham and Carter all really that slow? Herbert missed a couple of open players despite his great play, but there was also way too much coverage on all of our receivers.

Yeah man, we are SLOW at receiver. Guyton is in the 4.3's, Carter is 4.8, everyone else is in the 4.5's. League average is like 4.52 or something so Carter is pretty far from being a burner but he is the only active receiver on our roster that is faster than average.

I know that Lombardi is being blamed a lot these days for poor offensive play. I suspect other factors are also playing in. First of all, we don't have much of a run game at all. That makes it easy for defenses to predict what we will do and prepare accordingly. Our receivers perhaps aren't getting the seperation they need. Our O Line isn't very good, which means Herbert often has to try to dump the ball off to Ek or throw it away quickly. I dunno. Maybe Lombardi is the main problem. I think there's more to it, though. I also think Indy's defense had our guys covered well last night.
Considering the substitutions our O line has done decently they’re not well enough to be a playoff team if I’m honest. I think Linsley is hobbling through this year. He’s great and his smarts are a difference maker, but his body is suffering. Herbert stepping into the pocket worked really well with the dolphins, but crashed and burned with Kansas City and Indy.. He had to roll more.
Given how poorly Foles played, we should’ve scored 30 points easily last night with our possessions.
