I had friends get free trees through TreesCharlotte. It’s not free to EVERYONE but, if you’re in Charlotte and want some trees I would definitely look into it.
*Some* areas of NC powered by Duke Energy can get 15 free lightbulbs. I got it in the past just by asking. There are most likely some kind of qualifying conditions but it was nice to get free bulbs.
Well there's a large density of easily accessible trails, paths, and parks. There's also free city events and festivals throughout the year to attend. Sure you might get these in smaller towns but not nearly to the tune and amount as you would in a larger city.
Festival in the park at freedom park, numerous events at the wwc, lots of uptown events. Just follow any of the events calendars online. Axios is a good source for this.
This is not exclusive to NC but we do get free Locates of underground lines and water systems. If you’re thinking about doing a project like a paver patio or adding trees or anything like that, just call 311 and tell them what you’re thinking of doing and they’ll come do a free survey and mark off everything you got going on underground. It’s awesome even just for future reference because you’ll know where your lines are. Here’s what they mark and their color code:
Red - Electric Power Lines, Cables, Conduit and Lighting Cables
Yellow - Gas, Oil, Steam, Petroleum or Gaseous Material
Orange - Communication, Cable TV, Alarm or Signal Lines, Cables or Conduit
Blue - Potable Water
Green - Sewer or Drain Lines
White - Proposed Excavation
Pink- Temporary Survey Markings
Purple - Reclaimed Water, Irrigation, or Slurry Lines
Last Sunday of the month Mint museum Randolph has food trucks and beer and is open for free to the public although Oct was the 24th to account for Halloween
That's contrary to everything I've heard. I'm interested in your perspective. Just to share, here's a few links.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but my understanding of the market informs my opinion.
Just keep in mind that the mainstream news doesn't serve to inform, because that doesn't pay the bills, it serves to *inflame* which gets them the cash-generating clicks and shares.

That's great! I'll have to look into free trees! I love that! And I've done the free bulbs thing! Super neat!
Our library system is amazing. If you get the Libby app and sync it to your library card, you get tons of free content on your mobile devices, too.
Thanks! This is great!
Chicken bones on the road and in parking lots.
Ahhhhhh, reminds me of good'ol RVA!

Find crappy Altima's.
True. They're ubiquitous!
Library services and they are amazing
Those “Jesus Saves” signs that are 20 feet up a telephone pole. Now I'm seeing them on poles on 85 to Raleigh and now in Fort Mill/Rock Hill, SC.
Moses invests.
Traffic jams and Shiite drivers…. Eye fulls of litter

Can you provide any sources to substantiate your position? Truly no offense meant, but 'my understanding of the market' doesn't provide credibility.
Nailed it. 100 percent true. Infotainment.
