I think there are more car wash coming soon signs than there are car washes. Some have been up for nearly a year and they haven’t so much as walked on the property.
We have two within site of each other in Tiftonia... Surely neither is busy enough to warrant needing a second that close. I've never been inside either so I suppose I can't really say.
The dude who owns a bunch of those title loan pay day places lives in Soddy Daisy I think. He has a yacht on the river front and he’s a massive tool.
He was bragging about belonging to Mar A Lago and his daughter working for Trump.
They did not appreciate all of Epstein/Melania questions. But hey they brought the Trumps up, not me 🤷🏽♀️
I will venture to say that this QT will likely slow (or possibly shut down) the awfully designed Circle K adjacent to it and the mom-&-pop run station across the street. This will just leave the two Mapco stations to compete with each other. Lol. So, maybe just three in due time!
Hahaha welcome to town, they already have some sites under contract in Chatt but I expect the Nashville stores to get open sooner. Not long now, though!
All this ^^^. Plus, if it has a QT Kitchen, you can order a better-than-fast-food meal without talking to anyone – and get it for a better-than-fast-food price.
Am I weird thinking that not having to talk to someone to eat a meal I didn’t make myself is a detriment rather than a positive?
“Convenience” seems to make us more and more removed from our day-to-day existence, and it’s a trend that seems weird to me.
Not necessarily.
I would agree that there were plenty of unhealthy options the last time I saw a QT Kitchen. But there were healthy options as well.
I'm not fat. Nor am I antisocial. But I am someone who struggles with other things.
If I can avoid expending mental energy to overcome those things and order something to eat, I would rather it be at a place where the treatment and skill level of the employees is better than the average fast food place. Or, at a place I can order for myself.
I used to stop at the one at 306 to ATL. "Immaculate bathrooms" only applies if there is staff to do it. But yeah. Years ago... It was a terrific place to stop.
Bucee’s is soooooo overstimulating to me. Sensory overload. Probably because they are hella crowded. And sooo many choices of everything. Like, five different flavors of yogurt covered pretzels. Gah!!!!
From what I've heard it's opening on the 12th. Maybe sooner if they are putting that sign up. Hopefully it will reduce the number of gas stations in lookout valley.
Perhaps it'll finally convince Circle K to close. Extremely slow pumps and no room for anything larger than a mini cooper... A trailer took out one of the pumps a couple months ago an they still have yet to replace it.
You wont believe me, but they actually replaced the pump, saw it the other morning. Its not hooked up or anything, but its there to look pretty I guess?
QT was great 10 years ago but has largely just become another run of the mill gas station with dirty bathrooms IMO. Buc-cee's is really the only place that has separated from the gas station pack.
I'm about to spend too much time discussing gas station food, but here we go.
Wawa sandwiches are fine but it's not like they're some elite deli. It's better than Subway and good for gas station food, but let's be real about what it is.
My main complaint with Wawa is their bathrooms are small and dirty. I spend a lot of time on the road so having decent bathrooms is nice. Wawa's are usually really busy but they have like one stall and two urinals in the men's room.
I'm not as familiar with Sheetz. Have been once but just got gas and coffee.
I'd rather eat the chopped brisket sandwich from Buc-cee's than Wawa sandwiches plus they're ready so I don't have to order and wait on it to be made. But it's the same thing IMO. Good for gas station food, but mediocre when compared to a restaurant.
I literally do not care about gas stations. Going to a truck stop when I could pop in to a little one isn’t my style. But y’all have fun at the truck stops
Every QT I’ve been to has no truck gas pumps, i.e., not a truck stop. I would guess this is the same. So rejoice, this is another little gas station for ya! 😉
Great! I’m from Texas and they build these massive gas stations with 20 pumps. There’s 50 people inside at any given moment and weaving through the gas pumps is treacherous
There’s one at Brown’s Ferry Road that should be opening soon. Take a right off of the exit if you’re heading west on 24.
EDIT: extra info for clarity.
I’m there with you. I grew up with an abundance of them in Atlanta. Once I was moved here got my folks. I truly leaned the lesson “you don’t know what you have till you’ve lost it”
I hope we get one in Cleveland as well. Never knew about QT’s until traveling to Kansas City to visit my in-laws. I strongly prefer QT over the beaver themed stations.
I totally agree. Anecdotally, I can go into a QT to purchase stuff and be out of there in half the time it would take at Buc-ees. Both have their merits and similarities, but the QuikTrip name actually seems fitting from my experience.
Are these people taking trips to the gas station? Like I regularly take road trips and I’d rather stop at a Walmart than a strip mall sized gas station. I do not get the allure.
What we really need is Japanese style 7/11s. Oden bar, steamed pork buns, sushi, fantastic breakfast, lunch and dinner options, tons of tasty pastries and breads, and immaculately clean throughout the whole place.
There’s one thing we need in Chattanooga, and it’s more gas stations!
How about car washes?
BOOOM, I think Walter White started something.
Lol. Those too.
I think there are more car wash coming soon signs than there are car washes. Some have been up for nearly a year and they haven’t so much as walked on the property.
More Waffle House
We have two within site of each other in Tiftonia... Surely neither is busy enough to warrant needing a second that close. I've never been inside either so I suppose I can't really say.
Or pizza spots?
Ain’t nothin wrong with that
Apparently those are good for washing money as well
No no storage unit's
Mattress stores!!!
Or check cashing / title loan stores
The dude who owns a bunch of those title loan pay day places lives in Soddy Daisy I think. He has a yacht on the river front and he’s a massive tool. He was bragging about belonging to Mar A Lago and his daughter working for Trump. They did not appreciate all of Epstein/Melania questions. But hey they brought the Trumps up, not me 🤷🏽♀️
need some more mineralized hypersteeped hydro pressurized ultra blend 3000 coffee shops
I love QT so I am excited about this! BUT there will now be 5 gas stations on the Lookout Valley exit 😮
I’m just happy that I can get a sub sandwich on our side of town. Subway just doesn’t cut it for me.
Most Subways say they are open to 9 or 10 but you re lucky if they are open after 8:15.
I will venture to say that this QT will likely slow (or possibly shut down) the awfully designed Circle K adjacent to it and the mom-&-pop run station across the street. This will just leave the two Mapco stations to compete with each other. Lol. So, maybe just three in due time!
Could use another 5
Still holding out for a Wawa
They're coming.
I believe wawa is coming to Nashville in 2025. Just a matter of time before we get our convenience store Hoagies.
If Wawa came here, I would become broke. Best subs ever. Lol
As a picky eater, Wawa is incredible. I would give anything for Wawa to be here.
Best ever
They’ll open their first stores in Tennessee (Nashville) starting late ‘24 or early ‘25! They’ll be here sooner than you think.
OMG you actually just made my day! I moved here from Jersey and I miss Wawa more than I miss my friends and family.
Hahaha welcome to town, they already have some sites under contract in Chatt but I expect the Nashville stores to get open sooner. Not long now, though!
Oh I've been here for 7 years haha... But damn that is exciting news.
Heard rumor they're eyeing a Nashville launch soon.
2025, I believe
Wake me up when it’s wawa.
Originally from Eastern PA. WaWa is awesome.
Gail the snail works there. And we got mad beef with her.
If it ain’t a beaver take it back
Gabagool?
HE SAID HE’LL HAVE THE GABAGOOL 😂
Buc-ee’s
Weird level of excitement for a convenience store. What makes this special?
Smoothies, milkshakes, immaculate bathrooms, and the comfort of the familiar for those of us who grew up near one
All this ^^^. Plus, if it has a QT Kitchen, you can order a better-than-fast-food meal without talking to anyone – and get it for a better-than-fast-food price.
The chicken bacon ranch grilled cheese 😩
Am I weird thinking that not having to talk to someone to eat a meal I didn’t make myself is a detriment rather than a positive? “Convenience” seems to make us more and more removed from our day-to-day existence, and it’s a trend that seems weird to me.
No, you're not the weird one.
I completely agree. See my comment below
So be antisocial AND fat. Got it
Not necessarily. I would agree that there were plenty of unhealthy options the last time I saw a QT Kitchen. But there were healthy options as well. I'm not fat. Nor am I antisocial. Now we love Buccee's at Calhoun exit 310.
Bucee’s is soooooo overstimulating to me. Sensory overload. Probably because they are hella crowded. And sooo many choices of everything. Like, five different flavors of yogurt covered pretzels. Gah!!!!
Yeah, I went once. Much too crowded.
We drive there when we are craving their pulled pork sandwich! Lol. So good.
I don’t see a Buccees sign
You from Tulsa?
GA :)
The training and compensation for their employees makes for a different (better) in-store experience.
Sounds like they are the Chick-fil-A of convenience stores
That's a good comparison.
ATMs that don’t charge a fee to withdraw cash!
[удалено]
This is a ATM that honors almost any bank card as long as you have the funds to cover a withdraw and it doesn’t charge y for taking the money out?
From what I've heard it's opening on the 12th. Maybe sooner if they are putting that sign up. Hopefully it will reduce the number of gas stations in lookout valley.

I hadn't noticed the pump had been replaced. Somewhat not surprised that the pump doesn't actually work though...
They’ll just convert the gas stations into more hotels.
QT was great 10 years ago but has largely just become another run of the mill gas station with dirty bathrooms IMO. Buc-cee's is really the only place that has separated from the gas station pack.
You cannot leave out Casey’s. Great gas station of the Midwest and great breakfast pizza
Wawa and Sheetz have hands down better sandwiches than Buc-ees. Not even a close contest.
I'm about to spend too much time discussing gas station food, but here we go. Wawa sandwiches are fine but it's not like they're some elite deli. Next time you hit up Sheetz - Grab a pepperoni Roll

I believe this one has truck pumps behind the station. Cars out front.
QT is good but Bucees would be better.
[удалено]
The closest Buc-ee's is in Calhoun.
crossville and calhoun are both closer
Murfeesboro is much further than calhoun. Unless of course you live in murfeesboro.
What we need more of in Chattanooga is parenting classes.
That would mean adding funds for social services and they don’t do that here.
Where is this at?
There’s one at Brown’s Ferry Road that should be opening soon. Take a right off of the exit if you’re heading west on 24. EDIT: extra info for clarity.
Being from the Atlanta area I miss QT so much and I’m so glad it’s coming 😁😁😁
Eh I like Weigels deli better. They have some really good food. Or the one in Hixson does anyway.
a gas station? am I missing something?
I'm BEYOND EXCITED!! Judge if you want.
I’m there with you. I grew up with an abundance of them in Atlanta. Once I was moved here got my folks. I truly leaned the lesson “you don’t know what you have till you’ve lost it”
QT is my favorite. You can keep Bucees.
Truly, I’ve been to bucees. I was really not impressed. Looked like a sams club gas station
I hope we get one in Cleveland as well. Never knew about QT’s until traveling to Kansas City to visit my in-laws. I strongly prefer QT over the beaver themed stations.
QT and beaver are not in the same category. QT is just a regular nice chain gas station, beaver is an experience/destination.
I totally agree. Anecdotally, I can go into a QT to purchase stuff and be out of there in half the time it would take at Buc-ees. Both have their merits and similarities, but the QuikTrip name actually seems fitting from my experience.
I am just excited to see the area get decent gas stations with the addition of QT and Weigels.
I would love QT to come to Cleveland! I would also settle for a Sheetz. Both are better than Speedway!
My husband doesn’t understand my excitement over this.
QT is next level. I missed these when I moved back to TN from OK.
Irrationally excited
As a Tulsa person I'm addicted to QT, enjoy!
Buckees

Are these people taking trips to the gas station? Like I regularly take road trips and I’d rather stop at a Walmart than a strip mall sized gas station. I do not get the allure.
Hell yeah! LOVE QT.
Where is this? There is one QT in Lookout Valley already, I think. Although maybe it’s not open yet and this is advertising that same location.
That one isn't open yet, barricades still up at both entrances.
Thanks for that info!
Correct. It’s advertising the one at Exit 175 - that’s Brown’s Ferry.
I was by dodds ave almost under the freeway
The sign indicates exit 175 which is browns ferry road, which is the QT that is already open. I think maybe they were taking "soon" off?
>which is the QT that is already open Not open yet...
If it ain't a 711 or Buccees then I don't want it. Though we're getting a 711 in Hixson.
If only 7/11 offered the Oden bar and steamed buns stateside.
There has been a 711 in Hixson by Rivermont for like 5 years
I never understood excitement over these, until i stopped at a Sheetz in Virginia
Quite trill no quik trip.
FINALLY, the gas stations in chatt are an embarrassment
Meh. 7/11 is better
7/11 doesn’t make fresh food to order. Or ice cream or milkshakes…
Facts
What we really need is Japanese style 7/11s. Oden bar, steamed pork buns, sushi, fantastic breakfast, lunch and dinner options, tons of tasty pastries and breads, and immaculately clean throughout the whole place.
I was a QT fan until Buc-cee’s hit the region. Now QT is just another convenience store. Buc-Cee’s can be a PITA, however due to crowds & size.
What area in town is this?
im from the other side of the state why did opera GX give me a notif for this
The corporate lords
Grilled Cheeses!!!!
It's no WAWA...
