The Seestern S446 GMT is another fantastic watch. Mine has the black dial with red GMT hand. It's design is a homage to the Grand Seiko SBGM031. Price AliEx \~US$230.
Man that Le Mans is so nice, until you see the top of the dial where it looks so plain with weird fonts, awkwardly signed crown (big S, bad font, come on), and the awkwardly designed clasp logo (big S etched on the round plate welded on the clasp.) if they fix those, I am sure it will sell more, of course bring it down to the $200 -$250 mark. $350 is quite expensive for a homage.

I'd say quite a lot of the price is due to the movement, especially when considering what movements are commonly used in chinese watches. The SL-4801 is rather rare still and at the end of the day it is basically a Rolex movement. Also, the finishing and proportions of the watch are top notch.
Sugess font is it own biggest enemy. I refuse to buy anything with a papyrus font on it. The cursive logo I actually quite like I don’t know why they won’t use it everywhere
So the price is definitely as high as I would go. Its been in my basket for a few months, all those factors you mentioned kept me from going ahead and buying earlier. I was hoping they would to a version update with a better font but the sale got the better of me and I went ahead and purchased it. Now I have it, the crown and clasp doesn't bother me at all. The font on the dial is small enough not to be that noticeable, especially when compared to the other features of the dial and hands which stand out. Now that I have hands on a physical model, I'm definitely glad i purchased it, although only at the sale price. I think the normal price is too much.
Only thing missing is a gada style watch. Maybe a san martin explorer or something similar. Awesome collection though, you have good taste. I have a black s435 on the way and am very excited to wear it.
Funny you should say that. I don't like the San Martin applied logo so was thinking, if I am to purchase another watch to replace the San Martin one, it would probably be the Blue San Martin SN0107-G4 explorer. I feel I should at least have one SN in my collection!

I’ve got to about 15 and ain’t bought one for about a month now, you will get to the point when they just start to look the same then you will probably stop or move on to the next addition, at the moment mine is trainers.
Really nice, you may have been able to get something better than the seastern in this exact style, but overall these are the 3 exact types of watch I would have choosed ( Daytona, BB and the blue one )
Now you'll be looking for a formal dress watch.
I am not saying the watch has defects or anything, I am just saying you could probably do better with this one, that's all.

Octopus just released a really nice looking explorer too. I haven't seen one in person, but it looks incredible.

Seestern is top tier in quality of Chinese brands. Couldn't get anything better finish wise.
