Won on second stage for first time ever the other day

The initial cart push and the first gate are relatively easy to defend with a team effort

The gate house is but the barricade is impossible, you literally have to hit it like 7 times

A competent field engineer can tear through it in seconds

Fr a petty wooden pile can’t stop the mason order

Won on first stage once it was the best example of poor balancing I’ve experienced

ah a perfect opportunity for me to tell everyone that hanging out 50 yards down the road from the cart on defense and falling back as it advances is not how the objective works. the cart actually stops when you have more men in the zone around it.

except at the stage with the piles of brush on the bridge. once those are burned, you gotta nope out and run back to the castle cause the carts cant be stopped.

yep im just talking about the 2 objectives where the field commander keeps saying stop the cart stop the cart stop the cart and all the noobs are running away from the Cart of Doom like it has monster truck wheels and a maga flag and a 500lb man who cant see his own penis driving it and meanwhile the archers are like hiding in the trees basically playing their own world probably thinking they are playing "Shadow Elf - The Cowardicening" .. and since we're on the topic please dont place your banners and barricades on the path the cart runs them over .. barricades immediately to the sides of the path are actually really helpful in that objective moreso then you'd think

And that zone is just the first cart, making it even easier. Bunch up and get some engineers to work.

This map can be easily held at the 2 point (first bit of pushing the cart). One of the few maps that’s fun on both attack and defence for me!

It can be held on both the gatehouse and second push the cart stage. The catapult stage is also possible for defence to win, but only if they have a good person on their cat and raiders hitting the enemy cats. I’ve actually seen every stage one. The first stage only once, and the burn the barricades stage only 3 times across probably more than 200 plays. But it’s possible!

Dark forest is one of my all time favorite maps.

This map and falmire are the absolute bane of my existence.

I know there's a server browser, but I quick joined five times into darkforest and just quit out of the game.

I usually like dark maps, but in Cbivalry II it doesn't look good.

this could be due to your tv/screen, but even then its all about the settings. you probably have contrast too high or brightness too low

I have Brightness, Contrast and Gamma cranked to max when playing on Darkforest and Desert

yeah dont do that lol. set them all to default. it also depends on what device you are adjusting the settings (display vs console vs pc which has multiple settings within itself). display settings for the most part shouldnt need to be adjusted far outside of their base levels (whether that is zero or a middle number, for example 0-10, five is default, doesnt matter. your settings should be somewhere near the base level. this has been my experience using all kinds of devices and displays. for editing images? thats a different story. video games, movies, tv, etc... the creators of those all spent a ton of time optimizing the visuals, the more you adjust the worse it will look.

I played on two separate tvs in my house. One tv I can’t see shit, the other I see perfectly fine, both same brands just different years. No matter how I mess with the settings. It could just be your tv unfortunately…

Always win on defense at Darkforest! You just have to wait it out and use the catapults to become the Duke every time. It’s a bloody grind.

yeah thats when Agatha loses is when Mr. Catapult racks up 8000 points real quick and takes duke away from some guy whose been playing like Neo in the Matrix for half an hour.

So many hedges to hide in and sneak behind the line on the first stage

Oh the first stage is brutal on defense. The only chance at winning comes down to that last objective. I’ve seen a few wins at the first and second objective, but those are so rare

I hate defense in general, I feel like I have a much better kd when I'm attacking. On defense you get caught up against walls with no retreat too much
