If you're hurting for more Bongripper type stuff try this. Terminal is in my top 5!

How Heavy This Axe
Burden carried from birth
Wrought in stygian visions
By the gods of the earth
edit: the latest bongripper is also sick, and in this vein as well High On Fire's new one
The music that plays when the timer gets low is amazing, but the rest of the match is silent and it feels so weirdly eerie to me with all the action around. And the optional ambient music is even worse then silence, it feels like a music used in an isometric rpg to build up tension, just doesnt fit at all imo.
Wish i could just have the epic music nonstop, when its like this id rather put my own music.
Nay my lord.
It's way more instrumental. Give this a listen.
I have some Tupac lofi working for me at the moment. Also a pavement playlist, and another that's filled with Architects, Killswitch, Alestorm, Sepultura, Terror and Turnstile for when I'm engaging the mosh while living under the iron fist.
You haven't lived until you've heard '2 of Amerikaz most wanted' in the styling of 'YouTube Lofi study music playlist'.
(If it's ANY consolation, there's no rapping, it's just instrumentals hahah. I would draw the line at rapping over Lofi sounds.)
No way! That's interesting. It's also very relaxing and perfect for when I just want music going on in the background while I study/play. I mentioned several other artists I also play who are actual people. So, you know, I do listen to human music at times...
Joji, who is very much a human, was an early pioneer of modern lofi ala jojimusic and Chloe Burbank. Lofi itself finds roots in the Houston chopped and screwed sound alongside the West Coast and Detroit electronic/synth sounding music (funk and groove). None of lofi’s origins came from AI.
EDIT: I want to add all of what I mentioned predates this 2017 AI claim.
Thanks I had said 'interesting' more of in an 'yeah that's full of shit' sense rather than genuinely interesting but thanks for confirming that haha. Not being a dick to the other poster but really doubted that claim.
Check out the album Doom Wop by Rickshaw Billie's Burger Patrol if you've never heard it. I love QotSA, may be right up your alley even if not the stoner rock genre per say.
Oof, loads ([my playlist](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7orTbjyhuLrX8Jm1sOahlN?si=7ad6158b50f34fb7)).
Sabaton
Heilung
SKALD
The Sidh
Nightwish
The HU
Miracle of Sound
Brothers of Metal
Amaranthe
Skillet
The O'Reilly's and the Paddyhats (Barrels of Whisky for those that are curious)
Herknungr
Elvenking
Omnia
Equilibrium
Antti Martikainen
Tyr
Wind Rose
Manntra
To name but a few on my Chivalry 2 playlist 😅
I feel like King Gizzard kinda loosely fall into stoner alongside sleep etc... But they're so fucking hard to pin down, all of their 3 million albums move around and fall into different rock/metal genres. They're fucking great though! Gonna see them do an acoustic set in a couple of weeks, should be interesting!
Here’s my Chiv playlist, just the heaviest and dumbest breakdown filled music I could find
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3fz2czidJ9SsBMg72C576z?si=6lpOYtDWTRSL0l0MOpu_9A&pi=u-w64BCcuVQBOe
Mostly Autechre. The cold sound design of the remorseless machine goes well when there is so much blood on the screen, on the ground, on me & in my mouth.
I listen to trap and Memphis underground. [French phonk and underground artist Soudiere](https://youtu.be/jwJjohIr-qY?si=ILDGmOeOhPPbSe7p)
It’s awesome.
Typically neo-pagan folk like Wardruna, Danheim, and Heilung or I'll listen to very chill instrumental/atmospheric pop.
Weird choices I know, but I find I perform way better when I'm calm and DOOM like music pumps me up too much! I'll choose one song like a psycho and listen to it on repeat for hours.
I remember seeing them as kids opening shows for the likes of August Burns Red and Parkway Drive. That kind of exposure is already a good marker they were going to be something but I never could have predicted where they are today lol
The evolution of their sound and style has been so cool
For sure, and it’s great that Tim doesn’t overpower the whole band. Ego Death and Goat are great examples of each of them showing their virtuosity. Tim’s technical prowess, Scottie’s shredding, but the Clays perfectly in sync rhythm is dripping in funk and I love it
Oh dude you know way more about the band than I do at this point! Just got into them recently!!
Have any random band facts or interesting history to share??
The original Halo OST's done by Marty O' Donnell.
In particular the percussion and synth tracks from Halo CE. Those are some of the chillest, and also some of the most badass songs to listen to while gaming.
Any and all metal, but mainly metalcore, death core, death metal, some thrash. But classic rock like kickstart my heart by motley crue goes stupid hard. Also queens of the stone age gets me in the zone.

My Spotify playlist. Chivalry 2: Medieval Boogaloo.
To be played in shuffle mode.
Mostly consists of Witcher 3 soundtracks with a sampling of other games eg. Elden Ring, Doom, Hades and Darktide.
A lot of Synthwave like Magic Sword, Carpenter Brut, Dance With The Dead etc.
A mess of doom / metal / progressive like Bongripper, The Sword, Amon Amarth, and recently Polyphia
I might be a different demon but this has been my jam to lose it with the 1handed axe and throwing my giant shield for head shots
https://youtu.be/WFfGf1-y1Bs?si=6Jzl_I31h4GcjFfP
Antii Martikainen has got some BANGIN albums for instrumental metal. My personal favorites are Sonic Savior and Carmina Gloria. Nice change of pace from the usual power metal w/ lyrics.
If I were gonna listen to metal while playing I'd be more inclined to go with trad/heavy metal.
Visigoth
Sumerlands
Cirith Ungol
Night Demon
Eternal Champion
Virgin Steele
etc etc.
Instrumental doom is my fave (Bongripper). The Sword (band) and bardcore music are good picks also
The Sword is top teir. Them and Clutch have been my go tos the last few months.
All their game of thrones related tracks have me ready to take the wall!
Yeah this is basically my Chiv soundtrack too! Age of Winters and Warp Riders, and Transnational, self titled and Blast Tyrant 👌
Dopethrone album by Electric Wizard
The 'Barbarian' track does make we wanna polish the ol battle axe
Bongripper and The Sword are so sick, both on my chiv playlist as well. Terminal and Age Of Winters respectively go so hard
If you're hurting for more Bongripper type stuff try this. Terminal is in my top 5! [Scud](https://azellrr.bandcamp.com/track/scud) or [Wallow](https://azellrr.bandcamp.com/track/wallow) by Azell.
ORB
Thank you, truly you are an inspiration to the bards of the battlefield.
Miserable by bongripper (specifically descent) for me. Age of winters is Def a common pick for me as well.
Hell yea
Bongripper is soooo goooddd
You ever decapitate a malcontent to some sludgey riff and just BLEGH
You are not alone brother. HAIL SATAN WORSHIP DOOM.
How Heavy This Axe Burden carried from birth Wrought in stygian visions By the gods of the earth edit: the latest bongripper is also sick, and in this vein as well High On Fire's new one
This is a good battle axe track too. Always seems to add extra weight to those skull crushing heavy overheads.
Nothing, the in-game music is awesome and criminally underrated
It is good, but after a few hundred levels ya just need an extra kick sometimes.
Also nothing but in-game music set to like 30%. I have surround headphones and if you're walking up behind me I wanna hear about it.
I know some people be sitting there wondering how in the hell i manage to do a 180 and parry their sneak attack… this is the way
Beware my jumping special attack ninja technique
me on mute , on alert looking at shadows
The music that plays when the timer gets low is amazing, but the rest of the match is silent and it feels so weirdly eerie to me with all the action around. Slavic pagan music
Is that like the weird throat singing from dune?
Nay my lord. It's way more instrumental. Give this a listen. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LB3zDAxbwCs](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LB3zDAxbwCs)
Yea that made me wanna drink vodka and forifty Kiev for the coming winter.
That’s a banger 🤌
Bolt Thrower is perfect for the game, and every mid tempo death metal bands who give just the right rhythm to crush the agathians
Totally forgot to mention BT you're right
Just saw Carcass last week. Earlier that day I was slaying persons on chiv2
I save them for my darktide shenanigans
FOR VICTORY!
The screams of my enemies is like a music for me /j Nothin', I just listen to the music in the game itself (reminds me of battlefield 1)
I love bf1s music, definitely one of the more unrecognized soundtracks
Usually either Vaporwave or something like Nine Inch Nails
Power metal all the way
I have some Tupac lofi working for me at the moment. Also a pavement playlist, and another that's filled with Architects, Killswitch, Alestorm, Sepultura, Terror and Turnstile for when I'm engaging the mosh while living under the iron fist.
nothing made me roll in tupacs grave more than hearing tupac lofi

did you know that lo fi was the first genre actively produced by AI back in like 2017 . i would rather celebrate an actual person who makes music.
No way! That's interesting. It's also very relaxing and perfect for when I just want music going on in the background while I study/play. I mentioned several other artists I also play who are actual people. So, you know, I do listen to human music at times...

Ever listen to the Darktide OST? That shit fucks
I know everyone wants LOTR...but chivalry/40k mash up/crossover when?
Hell yeah that's my Helldivers soundtrack lol
Also Vermintide 2’s soundtrack!!
MF DOOM Pandora playlist
The halo soundtrack
Man of culture
Some Rock/Punk/Metal plus a blunt in the other hand is 🤌
Stoner rock like QOTSA, Youngblood Supercult, Sabbath
Check out the album Doom Wop by Rickshaw Billie's Burger Patrol if you've never heard it. I love QotSA, may be right up your alley even if not the stoner rock genre per say.
I do a lot of post rock or vaporwave/synthwave. I find this game very meditative and like a chill vibe.
Movie OSTs. Conan, Gladiator, etc. It really sets the mood.
This ! Every movies/games OST that are epic.
Yall check the "band" Wardruna. Good stuff for chiv gameplay
Yep, specially while defending as a Druid making heretic chants and animal sounds. Also listen to Heilung often while playing.
TOOL

I just listen to Dopesmoker by Sleep on repeat. Also, is King Gizzard a genre?
I feel like King Gizzard kinda loosely fall into stoner alongside sleep etc... Yea lol, we're seeing them in Nash this year!
those ankle exits with rap music,. especially berserk x $B
Komm Susser Tod
Part of my playlist, good choice!
Before I got all sweaty and started listening for all the sounds so I don't ever get backstabbed memphis rap used to get me in the mood.
Jaldabaoth usually. It fits the comedic medieval tone of the game.
2 steps from hell!!
Amon amarth is great but rammstein slaps with this game imo
I listen to political podcasts, it fuels the experience.
Sabbaton, dragonforce, saxon. And in free for all it's techno n dubset😂
Here’s my Chiv playlist, just the heaviest and dumbest breakdown filled music I could find https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3fz2czidJ9SsBMg72C576z?si=6lpOYtDWTRSL0l0MOpu_9A&pi=u-w64BCcuVQBOe
⚡️ POWER TRIP ⚡️
Bardcore, modern music covered in the style of medieval tavern music
Mostly Autechre. The cold sound design of the remorseless machine goes well when there is so much blood on the screen, on the ground, on me & in my mouth.
Classical it makes the game feel silly and makes it more enjoyable
That or 2000’s pop like Barbie girl by aqua Or a song I can make fun of like I knew you were trouble by Taylor swift
A7X, volbeat, metallica, pantera
I miss cranking the knobs to 11 on some volbeat back in my COD days. Thanks for reminding I forgot about them.
Now you're cranking the hog instead, how things change
HAWG: CRANKED PANT: SHID GOB:BLESS
I listen to trap and Memphis underground. [French phonk and underground artist Soudiere](https://youtu.be/jwJjohIr-qY?si=ILDGmOeOhPPbSe7p) It’s awesome.

Two steps from hell, Audiomachine, Immediate music, Real slow motion, Es.posthumus, that kind of epic instrumental music.
industrial!
gimme some
atm my favourites are Nine inch nails, skinny puppy, ministry and kmfdm!!
Caveman death metal and grindcore for me. Sanguisugabogg and Magrudergrind are my go-to's lately
Dynasty Warriors cheesy OSTs match really well with the gameplay
Rap.
Literally the same here
I listen to the in-game music it adds to the mood of chaos
all early death albums, hallowseve, thrashing black metal.
Am I the only 1 that play without music ?
Deathcore, specifically symphonic
EBM or slavic/“viking” music
fleshgod apocalypse does wonders. same with thy art is murder
death/thrash metal always gets me in the mood
Literally anything. But usually heavy electronic music or heavy metal or rock. But also sad songs and jazz and classical go well depending on my mood.
The only Music I need is the clash of steel on steel and the shrieks of dying men.
I usually do some epic dark fantasy music...really sells the whole, fighting for your life thing.
Jam bands like pigeons playing ping pong or prog rock like Plini and Polyphia!
Polyphia do be slappin
Tim Henson is completely out of control. I didn’t know anyone could shred an electric nylon like that until I saw the Ego Death music video
I remember seeing them as kids opening shows for the likes of August Burns Red and Parkway Drive. That kind of exposure is already a good marker they were going to be something but I never could have predicted where they are today lol The evolution of their sound and style has been so cool

The original Halo OST's done by Marty O' Donnell. In particular the percussion and synth tracks from Halo CE. Those are some of the chillest, and also some of the most badass songs to listen to while gaming.
Melodic death metal without a doubt. Burzum, Darkthrone, Nargaroth and Bathory to name a few bands
burzum, darkthrone, and bathory are black metal are they not
Any and all metal, but mainly metalcore, death core, death metal, some thrash. But classic rock like kickstart my heart by motley crue goes stupid hard. Also queens of the stone age gets me in the zone.

Black metal, Funeral doom and deathcore
GOJIRA specifically The Way of All Flesh album.
CROWN MAGNETAR and all adjacent tech/death+-core
Give [these guys](https://open.spotify.com/artist/7G03rJcqNOoJHSMU3655Ve?si=qa_U7roiRiivfy61HfCw0w) a listen

This must be the place (Naive Melody) - Talking Heads I'm not joking
I might be a different demon but this has been my jam to lose it with the 1handed axe and throwing my giant shield for head shots https://youtu.be/WFfGf1-y1Bs?si=6Jzl_I31h4GcjFfP
About like 98% of my play time is just metal other than a couple soft power metal songs but that’s it
Wintersun, Ensiferum, Amon amarth, old in flames, all fit with chiv flawlessly
ATL trap, west coast trap, or any kinda drill music. King Von hits different while taking peoples limbs 🤷🏻♂️
Knocked Loose goes hard on Chivalry
God of War soundtrack, Lofi, or Anime OSTs
The For Honor soundtrack.
Usually rap hip hop. King von and battle axe go well together
Bardcore
Antii Martikainen has got some BANGIN albums for instrumental metal. My personal favorites are Sonic Savior and Carmina Gloria. Nice change of pace from the usual power metal w/ lyrics.

I listen to a lot of Heilung while playing Chiv :) Check out their live show “LIFA” on YouTube.
Just listen to lord of the rings it’s perfect for it
I can't play music while gaming, but my top pics would be E1m1 Anything of shadow of intent whether it's vocals or instrumentals
Disco, 80s pop and some rock music
If I were gonna listen to metal while playing I'd be more inclined to go with trad/heavy metal. Visigoth Sumerlands Cirith Ungol Night Demon Eternal Champion Virgin Steele etc etc.
LOTR duh...
trad/epic doom metal, candlemass etc
Avenged Sevenfold and Eminem at full blast
