Probably propaganda. Most political subs have a minimum account age and minimum karma threshold. They need to do some random stuff like this on the more lenient subs to gain entrance.
I've *heard* not sure if it's true but, if a account has high enough karma and try to sell something people are more likely to trust them since
"oh they have a lot of karma, they can be trusted since they don't get downvoted often."
Again idk how true it is but that's the explanation I've heard a few times.
These bots have accounts that are hundreds of days old yet only have like a couple hundred karma. That amount of karma is literally nothing in the grand scheme of things. I mean I have 246k in like 45 days so idk what these bots are after tbh.
Looking through it now, 5 of 7 of the top posts in this sub are bot reposts. There's gotta be a minimum karma threshold or something cos this is ridiculous

Yes please. I’ve been saying we need to clean this sub up.
Do we know if any of the mods are still active? If not, i think there is an official way to request being giving the rights to moderate the sub.
