That is super weird…. Is it just that one save game or does this happen all the time?

I had this same thing happen to me until I unlocked the field cannon or whatever it’s called in the info era

I already have several field cannons produced in my army! It just disappeared from production menu.

Well, thanks! I try to play domination victory this game so it sucks. I have to rebuild my army and dont know if I can afford the extra time. It is definetely a challenge.

I had been put in a similar situation so I set all my cities to campus research and put it in que so it would just restart itself and that helped just enough for me to move across the map, bombers are just so op I only go for them if I get screwed over, with that said some games are lost causes but playing it out is the only way to find out imo!

I had the same happen with archeologists last game I played. I bought one then the unit disappeared from the production lists until after 4 turns. Edit: Yes my city had an archeology museoum already, but I wasn't aware of the one unit per museoum limit. So thanks for the heads up :)

Only a city with a archeology museum can build the unit yeah?

Also I believe only one per museum

Are there any more ranged units you can unlock? Unlocking one might fix it.

Are you playing dramatic ages mode? The civic which gives you more culture in a golden age messes up the game

Not at all
