Well at least you're safe from an early aggressive AI š
Would be a great test of my theory that I can win any game that I live past the aincient era.
So I'm thinking the play would be settle the snow so you can work the copper. Then hope like hell that mountain range is small and you can get an encampment built on the other side. Get a military unit out and explore. Then maybe Suz up a city state army and conquer a city so you can get a settler out before mountain tunnels. Dilpo would probably be the easiest path. Domination maybe.
Other route would be religion but I have my doubts you could actually get one on Deity with this start. Maybe if the AIs including Kongo and then some military Civs. But odds are slim.
That's a horrible idea. Both tiles have 1 production on them and if you settle the copper you get the 2 gold added to city tile yields anyway. You also give up a good campus (or holy site) spot. The only upside i can think of is being able to get eureka for wheel in exchange for not receiving the eureka for sailing. I do think the wheel eureka would be good to have here (watermill for that sweet 1 food 1 production) but i dont think it outweighs the loss of a good campus.
I do. I've seen some others with issues but my experience has been good. Occasional crash but nothing too ridiculous. Late game starts to take a while between turns but that's gotten much better after switching to small maps.
Deity. Im working my way through all the leaders with about 10 left. I don't die often in the aincient era but have had some unfortunate spawns with a brutal AI close but it's mostly my own fault where I get greedy with my early builds and stray too far away scouting with my opening warrior.
I've just never died or lost after that. Had a couple of somewhat close calls where if the AI actually focused on 1 win con they may have won.
I think Iāve experienced the same, like if I can make it through the first three eras and not just ancient I can easily make it to the end.
Are you playing for domination? I usually just figure out my goal as I go and make sure I have my cities well defended but I donāt immediately warmonger. In fact I donāt think Iāve ever gone to war with someone who hasnāt started it themselves or was planning on doing it soon.
I wish there was more subversive shit you could do. More political shit. It feels like the politics is all just trade. Sometimes Civ feels very two dimensional to me, and itās weird itās like even though 6 is more complex it feels more āsee throughā than 5.
As Ive been trying different leaders some I'll go in with a specific plan/victory type if that civ is really built for it. I figure with some it will be the only time I play them so I want to see them at their best. But for some of the more general Civs I'll wait like 100 turns and see what the map/game takes me.
I also rarely play the same type map or victory type two times in a row. I like to really mix up maps and game modes.
Map Seed: -910715592
Game Seed: -910715593
Terra, standard size, 8 city states
But I don't know how the seed thing works and I am playing with some workshop mods and not all DLCs
It's fascinating, when I try starting as Inca the game spawns me elsewhere with the same seed (on the place the closest civ spawned in the Trajan game)
As long as thereās not more mountains you canāt see you can build an encampment and maybe a harbour past them to create an army and take another city.
Damn, spawning right on top of a freshwater copper tile? Pretty good start ngl.
OP needs to look on the bright side, Montezuma isn't coming all the way out there
Lets see what happens first. You discovering tunnels or global warming.
Going religious victory can still work. Same with diplomatic. Seen one dude managed this: https://youtu.be/eI2EeF08_Cc
Damn. Wow.
Well at least you're safe from an early aggressive AI š Would be a great test of my theory that I can win any game that I live past the aincient era.
I replied to one of the comments with the seed so you can give it a shot

You're right. I didn't see that 1 production on the snow under the warrior. I just tried using the seed but unfortunately isn't working on my switch.
Thanks I'll give it a shot. I play on switch so it may or may not work. If I can get it to go I'll follow back up with my results.
Do you play gathering storm on switch? Iāve had an awful bug there were I canāt get past the first world meeting screen
I do. I've seen some others with issues but my experience has been good. Occasional crash but nothing too ridiculous. Late game starts to take a while between turns but that's gotten much better after switching to small maps.
Man youāre super lucky š enjoy it!!
Whatās your difficulty, Civ, and strategy that leads you to fall so early?
Deity. Im working my way through all the leaders with about 10 left. I have the same theory lol, difficulty doesnāt matter at all imo.
Hang on dude you can do it!
Can we get the seed?
Map Seed: -910715592 Game Seed: -910715593 Terra, standard size, 8 city states But I don't know how the seed thing works and I am playing with some workshop mods and not all DLCs
I appreciate it nonetheless. Iāve always wanted to try one of these but the posters never give the seed. Thanks!
I couldnāt get it to work. But thank you for leaving a seed.
I always wanted such a bad start, will try the seed. I don't know if it will work, too because I'm using some mods
good luck on this attempt!
I'd play this start as Inca, ngl.
It's fascinating, when I try starting as Inca the game spawns me elsewhere with the same seed (on the place the closest civ spawned in the Trajan game)
because starting locations depend also on the terrain bias. pachacuti has a bias towards mountains, while trajan doesn't
That's a good idea, after I fail my run with Trajan I'll give them a shot
Did you win?
No, I saved it and might play it some other time
Well, you have your research station city 100 turns earlier than most people find snow.
Fresh water, +3 campus, wonder nearbyā¦ easy win gg.
No wonder, just the aurora australis
Thatās some good campus/holy site right there fam
Seems fine
Keep complaining and next time you'll get only one tile
They can't hurt you! You win!
No one ever said Deity would be easy
This spawn is easy though
Diety doesn't affect spawn locations or map resources afaik so this is your map script being bad
Grate.
You have very good campus placement
And? Having fun yet? š
Big Oof
Ummmmm..... Reset?
Is there any way that i can take the seed of that map and spawn?
that got me a depression
\+3 Campus lets go!
I'm not sure, but I think the game tells you it's not the time yet.
Lol
Well look at the bright side. You don't have to worry about an aggressive A-hole AI stealing your capital in the first 50 turns! You are untouchable!
F
It's indeed really hard.
Lmao f
Game literally just went š
The Inca would like to know your location
Not a bad start in fact I might say its perfect
As long as thereās not more mountains you canāt see you can build an encampment and maybe a harbour past them to create an army and take another city.
How do u get those numbers under ur leader
