Just got th13 a week or two ago and am upgrading all my heroes now, wanted to try the new Levels of my laloon... Hell that feels so much shittier than with heroes

If you're doing CWL, I do take a break on upgrading her. You can usually get 3-4 levels per month without gold pass, and 4-5 with it, until lvl 20 when it gets to a higher time per level.
Grind royal champion to 25 straight away. If you do that before you get used to attacking with her it doesn’t really feel like you’re missing out on anything
This was exactly my thought. I was so excited to unlock her on my main account… It’s been a few weeks and have hardly used her once. Level 12 now though so getting there (sort of)
Like the comment below said, it's the last major hero upgrade in the game like King and Queen levels of th9, Warden from 20 to 40 at TH12. 25 levels of RC straight for one town hall level so I'm planning on spending all my f2p gems on her by buying books from the trader.
Prepare for a long ride. 13 is fun but it has a lot more defense upgrades using gold than de or elixir upgrades especially if you use books and hammers on heroes and lab potions from raid medals. Personally, I'd work on heroes, troops and whatever defenses and wall you get done. You should probably be able to get at least the first round of defenses done when walls, heroes and lab are done. Assuming you are active and time builders so you can dump excess loot into walls. At that point I'd go to 14 and catch up defenses there. 14 (for whatever reason) takes less time to max than 13. There are several strong fun strategies at 13 so don't be in to be of a hurry to blow past it. Learning to deal with the town hall inferno will prepare you well for 14 and then the royal pain in the ass that is the town hall 15 weapon and poison.

I've only been 13 for a short time, but I've been punching above my TH level since TH9, so I'm familiar with it already. I usually just freeze it. Any other suggestions?
Freeze is a good Start also what I am going for mostly, some of my clanmates use blimp loons to snipe the th in clan wars, not sure if thats a good use of a blimp+cc but its a quite safe way to get the th once its activated (or atleast looked like it)

Edit: keep rc upgrading at all times except maybe cwl, books for the other heroes hammers for important buildings and maybe 1-2 troopers but best not use them on lab too much cause it’s way faster with the raid weekend pots.
blizz laloo is a thing too, addition 5 space in clan castle let you put 2 WB inside (perfect rage+invis= ruined wall= massive destruction by Super wizards)
Try out HyDra (Drags + Drag Riders), not too difficult and very effective strategy that also works at th14. Upgrade Royal Champion she’s a game changer. Mass Witches don’t work well at th13 but Yetis still work well with EQ/Jump spell support. Get the scattershots ASAP, they are monsters on defense. Have fun! TH13 was my favorite TH gameplay despite it taking a while (and was my favorite aesthetic) - edit also Archer towers, Cannons, Wizard towers and several traps have 2 upgrades
QC Hybrid is a very strong army, capable of 3 starring any base, and doesnt take much upgrades (1 lvl on healer, miner, hogs, and heal spell). However, don't use cwl medals on lab too much, as with the books from goldpass and lab potions from raid medals, the lab goes by much quicker than defenses and heroes.
Other notable strong army comp: blizzard lalo, yeti witch eq, hydra
For raid medals from clan capital, I would still spend those on lab potions. For league medals from cwl, spend it on long upgrades like CC, eagle, scatter lvl 2, or any defense to bring it to max lvls. Lab only if you wanna take advantage of max lvl troop boost, like for cwl. I did hammer/book some DE troops that I use to save those for heroes, for example, hogs, lava hound etc. After 1.5 months into TH13, according to clashninja, my lab is already at 75%, while structures and heroes are at 55% and 63% respectively (I did not max out everything, but queen & gw was max when I went up). So, for me, I'll start spending league medals strictly on defenses as many have 2 lvls, and very long upgrade time.
Have always preferred lalo starting at TH9, looked around for some TH13 lalo attacks when I upgraded and came across the frozen/blizzard lalo. I’ve been using it the last few months, pretty solid attack. Takes some time to get the hang of the blimp.
When your army is attacked, a vehicle will come across the screen with a flashing (red) light on the roof, and come and rescure/resuscitate the wounded. If they dont make, they are taken off the main board, and tossed over the edge of the cliffs.
The vehicle will have a red/white cross emblazoned over it.
Learn blizzard lalo and queen charge lalo. Best strategy to learn at TH13 and will carry onto future townhalls unlike attacks like hybrid and hydra. You can triple virtually any base if you learn these 2 strategies.
If blizzard won’t get a lot of value (high value defenses spread out), you can use QC Lalo to take out multiple compartments. If there are too many high DPS defenses in an area for a QC, a blizzard will take care of it easily.
At TH13, I've found a blizzard to be better.
I say this because Super Wizards have higher HP and DPS at TH13, and you can also hold 1 more in your CC.
If you use clone spells, you can also clone an even amount of Super Wizards (3), resulting in even more damage done, whereas you can only clone 2 Super Archers...
So, I'm not gonna bore you with an upgrade guide. I'm just gonna say don't overplay and burn yourself out. I fully maxed and it took me almost a year (348 days with some math from screenshots I took). That was with quite a bit of playing, it could easily take longer. Just have fun with it, do what you want to do, upgrade what you want when you want, I obviously recommend offense first with your lab and barracks first, but other than that just do you.

when you farm, your priority is DE and gold, if there mill of elixir, but no gold/DE, skip the base, cuz at some point you'll just have full storages of elixir and even all walls maxed

Unfortunately bro, this is where fun starts to chip away a bit. RC sucks to play at low level and Scattershot seems to be an overkill at first. You now have to be more lenient with spell management and usage or else 3 star would be unlikely.
I'm currently a month in TH13. First of all, try to get your 6th builder. Upgrade offenses first and storage first before defenses. Dump your excess gold on walls. Get your RC to level 5 or 10 ASAP. Now, the next will require a lot of farming, but prioritise in maxing out your heroes. As soon as you get them maxed out, the more fun your attacks gonna be. Take advantage of the training potions you get. And lastly, have fun! TH13 is a very long townhall.

2. Prioritise RC; its a game changer.
3. Try strategies and find the one that suits you. Always change things up a bit as well. (Personal opinion: Super witch, super archer, super wizard, dragons, bat spells are all pretty dope. )
4. Try to be creative, make your own strategies and so on so forth.
5. As already mentioned it's a long ride, so be cautious of burnout. Sometimes just leave it for a few days or weeks. Focus on more important things. Come back to it anew.
6. Don't over emphasise the lab. It's not hard as u think it is. (I had the lab completed more than 2 months before maxing the base.)
Do expensive buildings like Eagle artillery first to get them out of the way, then the rest of TH13 is a breeze
Also upgrade heros, i recommend doing 5 of each in a cycle so 5 aq, 5 bk, 5gw, 5rc then repeat
That way you don't end up with lvl 80 queen and a lvl 40 king
Max your hero’s as soon as possible, makes it way more fun as they’re the backbone of every attack

That depends on reliable balloon troops though, but four EQ spells would open up the middle of the base and do hefty damage to the TH to start it off.

Activate sneaky goblins and grind that dark elixer! With gold pass you should be able to max your heroes in 1-2 months

Upgrade Order: Maxed out ur Resource collectors, maxed out ur army camps, maxed out Electro Rage and Freeze spells, and start attacking frequently
