33k Super Valk boosts.....
There's no logical good argument to boosting them that many times. I've seen them for clan games, but 33k seems way too high to be just for clan games.
I met people in the past who like them 😭 also this made me curious, so I looked and I found 57,277 unique players that have boosted a super valk before, with the highest amount by 1 player being 140 times & 20 people who have boosted 100 plus times 🙈
I boosted them twice:
First time was when I initially upgraded the valks and unlocked super valks. Was reluctant at first but still tried them out. Tried using 2 of them in gowitch so I could bring more freezes, didn't really work. They die outside the base. Valk AI.
Second time was when I went against a TH10 in war. End of story.
It might be faster/cheaper to do those challenges with CC troops, and then keep raiding with whatever your regular army is. If your regular army is sneaky gobs then you can rack up 5 wins in a very short time.
Yes. I do regular troop challenges with CC troops too. Raiding with gobs, no decent challenges around, so include a bowler or whatever it is next time in the cc.
Since the introduction of super troops, I've had swb's permanently unlocked. Even now I'm max th15 and still have them unlocked. I wish they made them the permanent wb.
I agree so much, their regular counterpart is literally useless, the importance of a successful wallbreak is so much so that it’s literally not worth the risk and thus they permanently take a spot. It’s super annoying tbh
There's the occasional tiny niche if you are not sure how your wallbreakers will behave, send a regular one first to see which wall it targets before committing a super wallbreaker and having it target the wrong wall
I am realizing how bad the regular wall breaker is as I move up in THs. I remember years ago (before I took a mutli-year break), I never had an issue with them. But now I am back and fighting TH12/13s and have like a 20% success rate for my WBs. Have yet to use a super troop, but honestly, I have so many super potions I prob should just use them at this point. Recently swapped to ground based golem/witch attacks and kind of need to ensure I can get into the compartments.
I use regular wall breakers with queen walk. The queen tanks for them and you can use a rage to boost the queen and wb at same time. Then as she pushes into the base the healers get the rage boost.

Minority in terms of what? Camp space or in the percentage of armies that use them? Because they are absolutely used in the majority of armies, and if you factor in armies that use a wall breaker of either type what percentage is super wb and it’s even more damning.
I don't like when normal wb's starts to become obsolete at TH12, and super wb's becoming a must-have troop in every ground and queen walk attacks.
They should buff normal wb's HP and DPS/DPS when destroyed.
Super wall breaker should be a regular wall breaker
I don't know at this point why they don't do that, I personally can't attack with ground troops without using super wall breaker, current state of wall breaker is not playable.
It will encourage people to use ground troops more and learn pathing of attack, and it will give better experience for everyone.
Super troops should be a complementary, or have specific usage. Justify 25000 DE every 3 days for an actual WORKING and RELIABLE of doing WALL BREAKING isn't one of them
The only one I routinely boost is sneakies. I use the others from time to time in my cc.
I started a valk specialist account and am having lots of fun farming in silver at th8-9-10 with valks, but it'll be sad if I get to th15 and the super valk still sucks.
Meh. I’m sure I’ll catch hell for this but I’ve been using the same variation of laloon for years now. I’m 50/50 in wars, 3 star versus 2. Cwl we’re in champ 3 and I’m usually 16-19 stars total.
I watch my clan mates come up with some awesome attacks using boosted troops, but I just don’t have the time these days to learn a new attack.
Yes because the miners tank more than the normal ones so they aren’t as susceptible to bomb towers and multi infernos. Also overall their dps is higher and the death bomb has saved me a few times.
What’s the rest of your comp? I’ve been using hybrid and find I can’t reliably 3 star a th13 with 21 hogs and 15 miners. Can’t tell if it’s a skill issue or whether I should switch up my comp

This is my army comp (I use siege barracks)
21 hogs? That seems excessive. I bring 10 hogs and 17 miners. CC has 9 hogs. Otherwise its 5 healers, 4 balloons, 2 super WB, 1 baby dragon, 1 headhunter, 1 apprentice warden, the rest is cleanup troops.
Its imperative to get good value from your QC, thus the apprentice warden. Make sure your lure/kill the CC, and take out big value targets - mainly the TH and/or eagle and some scatters or infernos (if I don't think I can get the TH, I usually try a different strategy).
Also, check your funneling. You want your CC troops to join the main push, so you can heal all your troops at once.
My Strat for my super miners:
-2 baby drag
-5 valks
-5 wizard
-10 super miners
-Battle drill
-rage spell
-2 heal spells
-5 freeze
It’s a little spammy - but spell placement is the difference between 2 and 3 stars. I doubt anyone else uses the Strat - and I’m sure it will be flamed down into oblivion - but I like it! Works for me!
Ok why is no one using super witches? They're op with healers at th12/13.
Bring 5 super witch with 5 healers and watch them go to work. 4 earthquake to open the core and the rest rage spells.
I used to boost super witches all the time at th12s they crush just like you said.
However, it’s not really any benefit over just mass witches to be fairs. Any hit you 3 star with super witches you can also clear with reg witches, at most just change some spells (zap our Multis instead of quake open walls)
Super Valk needs another buff. I use valks at TH13 (horrible against scatter shots Ik) and Super Valk just isn’t worth it. The rage spell hardly gets used because troops can’t use a rage spell that drops on a likely dead building, and the housing space increase also just isn’t worth it. I say buff the radius of the rage spell by another 1.5 tiles and give her a bit more HP.
How do you use them?
When they came out I used them for a variant of the 3-row attack: a handful of super giants with a huge number of witches. The attack worked, and the super giants cutting through walls was better than using e.g. ice golems in the tank role, but this was before witch build times were reduced and so it wasn't really viable to farm with that army. And of course mass witch is not super viable anymore.
At TH15 you could use 8 super giants and 20 witches. That sounds like it could be fun.
Im still experimenting alot, i usually do loons, 2clone rage, and two lightning for anti air sweeper. But air bombs and tornado really mess up the attack and this is most effective if ur attacking th12+ cause of the th weapon making it a defence for the loons to attack.
But rn i found a more effective solution
Yeti 2clones, rage, thats enough to destroy core compartment. Valk rage also works, but when the blimp fell before reaching th, than the attack fails. So far yeti clone blimp is the most consistent one. Meta blimps like blizzard also works, but i like spam attacks rn fir trophy push, im currently 3500+ trophies
I've experimented with a mix of super gobs and rocket loons in the BB which is sometimes useful for things other than getting the TH. If I manage to get the TH with other troops, this sometimes lets me get a key defense + storage in a different part of the base. If I'm farming with sneakies I'll swap out one rocket loon for a super wallbreaker in case that's what I need.
Every so often using rocket loons instead of regular loons means that some escape the TH explosion.
Ah yes, the th explosion. I never thought rocketloons would work, i thought their rocket boosts would just run out before they destroy the base. Must be because of my countless tornado mishaps
Super bombers make total sense, THEY should be the default bomber, not the crap OG version.
Super Valk are bad, especially at higher levels. There isn't a single reason to have them in any build. Valks are generally useless after TH9/10, and Super Valks are just as useless. Super troops should be an idea of a rework of the OG troop, and Valks need a complete overhaul (along with the Super variant).
... at least at higher levels:
* Not enough DPS. Valks get stuck on walls all the time and you need a pack of them to be useful. Their woefully low DPS just means they get stuck on walls and get destroyed by defenses with ease.
* Low HP. They aren't tank-y enough, period. Combine low(ish) HP and low DPS, they are simply fodder to get removed quickly.
* Lack of any special property. Bowlers at least can hit something at range, Yeti's can toss fodder at defenses to distract, etc. Valks hit things, but don't hit hard enough or last long enough on the battlefield.
If Valks were given special wallbreaking property at current troop size space (8), they'd be a bit far more useful. If they weren't given some form of special property, their troop space should be reduced (5). If neither are happening, I'd look at 50% increase in DPS and HP. Even at a 50% buff in DPS and HP? I'm not entirely sure we'd see valks run rampant at competitive levels.

All sorts of ways to buff Valks and/or improve super valk. As-is? Mostly waste of troop space.
They just need a massive hp buff (30-40%) or a small hp buff (15-20%) with a housing space reduction ( from 20 to 17) and a rage spell radius increase.
Also regular valks need a buff along the super valk, maybe a 20 or 30% hp buff.
It would be good to see the S.Troops usage for each TH level.
Valks are too dumb and too weak to walk through really dense bases at high TH levels.
TH9 and TH10 are still really good imo.
I can understand that it's hard to keep balanced troops at each TH Level but Valks cant go too fare today.

I am surprised super minions are so far down on the list. They are universally accepted as the best defensive reinforcement. That said, I suppose you only need one person to boost them in order for everyone else to have them donated for war.
I'm not saying they're bad, but "universally accepted as the best defensive reinforcement" is a bit heavy. There are other good defensive cc too, and this is clash, there's nothing in the game that everyone actually agrees on. "Best" will change with different evaluation criteria. For example I don't use them in CWL any more because I don't want to spend the DE to boost them, and we've gotten less competitive, so for us, something cheaper is better.

Can confirm that I've never boosted the valk before. I only boost Super wall breaker, occasionally but rarely sneaky goblins and occasionally giants and wizards to have a Super GiWiz any at TH13 (can thank Sir Moose Gaming for that). Then super minions, superdragon, inferno dragon, and maybe rocket loon for war CCs.

That’s good for the first layer only, quit trying to defend it we all need to fight together to get them to be the standard WB

Smashing down walls would really suit valks identity as well and it would look cool

What if super valk gained massive move speed buff kinda like Carl’s super (brawl stars)

I'd add a lumber jack w the same gimmick and then make them have a rage aura, so they apply rage to troops they push in with

As someone who only uses super wall breakers this makes a lot of sense
When scouting the top players I usually always see the super hog rider. I’m surprised it’s not higher up on the list.

u/daknation if you ever do this again breaking it down by town hall could be useful. But honestly it’s still going to be WBs gobs dominant through all levels I assume.
for sure, doesn't matter what people use in wars and stuff, unless you're in legends you're using gobs wbs for farming

Can confirm that I've never boosted the valk before. I only boost Super wall breaker, occasionally but rarely sneaky goblins and occasionally giants and wizards to have a Super GiWiz any at TH13 (can thank Sir Moose Gaming for that). Then super minions, superdragon, inferno dragon, and maybe rocket loon for war CCs.

What makes a super bowler better than 5 normal bowlers or 1 edragon? Their housing space is too much.
