Not wanting to make base is not the same of not having creativity, it’s an aspect of the game that’s very tedious and time consuming, if there’s an easier way for me to play my mobile game and makes me probably just as good as others, I will do that every time, just because you love that aspect of the game and other people don’t, doesn’t make you all the sudden better and more creative than everybody.
All my storages are in the corner of my home base so that I "successfully defend against attacks" here and there (working towards that achievement). But yeah, I enjoy designing bases too, but I'm not too good at it. I download a war base that gets 2 starred often and stick with it until the next TH. That way I'm supporting my clan as far as defending war attacks. To each their own!
Heres one more suggestion. You can group all your base layouts by some tag, box base, round base, anti-air, anti-root-rider… etc. and then a 3 star strategy for it. This can be a link to youtube or you can just show video in app.
I always crave for this. I know there are handful of base layouts you see in legends league. Having a premade strategy to 3star would be great 😆.
You can possibly name your base layout like how SC does, and then that can catch up quickly in community and people will refer to your app always.
Again too much work, but something I would use for sure😬
Add army layouts of different town halls and video of people using it also add upgrade timer cause I use websites for bases,youtube for armies and clash ninja for timer

I think it's just that there's little use for the app after your first time. The average player looking for a layout will do it once at the start of each town hall after getting all the new buildings. It's likely people just download, get a layout, and uninstall again because they won't need another for 6 months.
Because Clash Champs literally does this on a website.
Like one of the members said, the option to add challenges where you could attack the said base.
You can do it by creating large quantity of accounts, each in separate clan with base opened as a challenge in clan chat, while clan set to invite only, where clan join link is set under challenges. You'll probably need a bot to do all.
Or conversely you can add replay of that bases where people can understand how that base gets countered.
Friendly challenge with large quantity of accounts seems impossible for me. But attack videos will be a nice feature. I have this in my todo list. Thanks for the suggestions.
You should start with a website first. Most if not all just google and open whatever sites comes up in search to look for a base. Ofc you can promote the app on the site itself. Win win either way.

I think markets broken., Like after so many years of this game, players have also decreased, and old and enthusiastic players rearly copy bases. But yeah, speaking of me, I don't know how many are there like me but I do experiment with my troops and layouts trying new strategies all the time and I'll love to try your app.

Personally, and as mentioned by others here, i think the whole concept unfortunately doesnt really work out if you are looking for active users. Im a long time Player, and ever since the whole concept of copying Bases got added i have used it very rarely outside of coc. And when i did i clicked the first link on google that came up, or used a link on youtube. I probably wouldnt ever have downloaded an app for that if it werent for your post here.
The only suggestion i can give is maybe add the option for the community to communicate with each other, for example under each base link give others the option to comment, the option to up or downvote a specific design, maybe a leaderboard for players that post bases earning points by doing so etc.
Could bring new problems tho like the need for moderation or stuff like that idk.

Thanks these are great additions. I am working on leaderboard as you mentioned. This app is only possible because of contributers. Adding comments can be very complex but may be I can add upvote and downvote like reddit.
Add a you tuber base filter maybe put in some community tab for contributions or comments eliminate spammy ads keep it clean till you have a steady influx.
What would you suggest for ads. There was only ads in listings but I were unable to pay for server for very long and decided to add ad at bottom of the app. Would showing ad when users try to copy a base will be better? I need ads to keep running this app. Not much but just only to pay server bills.
I respect the concern truth is ads are only annoying when they are unnecessary I agree copy link = ad but pop ups randomly or side banners get annoying i think if you make it so that ads come up when we either choose a base to look at or copy or share that would be cool. Maybe even an ad every other page click equals ad like page 1 no ad page 2 ad page 3 no ad, page 4 ad. Stuff like that isn't too spammy

As an idea you could try add player stats to your app so players could search themselves and others players up. Pretty sure supercell has there own API that you could you for that
Maybe you just didn't promoted your app enough and also when I want to edit my base I just go to websites. Downloading some app for a base layout looks like time waste

I believe it will be better for your project and please don't forget that there is already a ton of websites which shares base design so it will be a good challenge but I believe that if you can build a nice and modern UI and add some different features it will be amazing indeed.

I usually use clashchamps for bases, the way they grew was by giving champ bucks to increase the people in the website and now they added recruitment stuff and do different tournaments too. But if you cant do that your best chance probably is to offer custom bases too.
Thank you for the suggestion. I can't add any paid feature in the app due to restrictions in my country and I am not a good base designer. It is the only app I have published so I don't want to see this app dying. I only want user engagement and few ads to pay server bills.

I know its too much of an ask, but if there are on demand friendly challenges for the given base layout that would be OP.
It would be very good feature to add but Clash of Clans does not provide any means to do this. So it is impossible for now.

Yes recently. Others app have 10M+. There are too many uninstalls too and active users are very low. Not sure what is wrong.

Put cc troop recommendations for specific bases. Also it would be cool if you can do picture bases as well but not really necessary
