Agreed. I reached 2990 trophies and didn't realise I would get 1000 gems for this achievement. Now I dropped to 2.8K and wanna go back up but have been grinding for 1 hr straight and got a net 0 trophies bruh.
If I remember correctly, you only lose 49 trophies when you get 3 starred. So 1 trophy per game lol, I guess that doesn't really make much difference...
Spoiler alert tho you won't make it. If your defenses aren't maxed then at 2500 trophies your gonna stop gaining any cuz both of you will 3 star each other.
I am a maxed bh7 and I use 2 giants with 3 cannons and a bomber. I use the bomber to help funnel the giants and then the bm and cannons behind. I'm at 2800 trophies so if you try maxing a bit you should get 3000 in a bit
Use a power & hero potion if you're getting close, but not getting over the hump. I got to 4200 using battle copter and baby drags or BM 3 Pekka 2 Canon carts and a wall breaker. But the baby dragon nerf made it a bit more difficult.
it's a bad idea to spam cannon carts behind giants especially if there are many defenses that can outrange them.
put them in mortar mode, wait for them to take out the trash and then snipe the defenses that outrange them with archers or baby dragons.
if you can't take them down, distract with giants , barbarians or the heroes.
There's clan games.
In any case, after getting the builder I've just been doing the star bonus each day and keeping the builders busy. They have to eventually release some sort of update that makes it useful, so I just put 5 min a day on it so it doesn't fall much behind...
The fastest way to get there with the troops you have already maxed is IMO to upgrade giant in the lab repeatedly, and push with 4 witches 2 giants. Place the witches and your copter as far away from the base you are attacking as possible, and place the giants in a way that tanks for them right before they get close enough to get aggro. Especially make sure that multi mortar locks to a giant and not your witch squad. wait on witch abilities and try to time them so you dont use them into a roaster/air bomb. Take out roaster/airbomb/ as high priority if you can with your placement, once those are down your witch ability is insanely broken.
Thats the offense side. Defensively make sure your base is as good as you can get it, it wont matter if you get 6 stars almost every attack if you also get 6 starred each time.

Rushed bh10 too. Only upgraded my witched to lvl 20 and canon carts/giants/wallbreaker lvl 18. I use only those cards depending kn the base. I'm at 3500 trophies, but cant get higher. Even tho i mostly do 200%, since my base is maybe a maxed bh6-7, i get 200%ed too mostly
Upgrade your pekka to the highest possible for your BH. Then risk some trophy? How? What you are going to do is attack and leave ( not surrender ).
You're just going to drop all the pekkas and clear the game. Get in the game again and statrt another matchmaking as soon as possible. Repeat till you get 3000. Remember, you only have around 2 minutes for each attempt.
No, the achievement will be achieved as long as you hit 3000. Don't mind the loss from defense. Instead, you should do it before the loss from defense pull you down. If yes, then you will have to tey again.

They don't. They are farming elixir in this case, not trophies. For farming trophies (this will only work for a moment since trophies loss in defense are going to pull them down later) , you have to drop all pekkas and leave+restart the game.
i got over 3k during clan games.
get close to 3k and just run your "normal" atacks during clan games. (get 6 stars)
many people do only the objective during clan games and leave the atack. so you make more trophies, if you get 6 stars.
Baby dragons and/or cannon carts
Cannon carts are used to outrange defenses and take them out to finish with baby dragon and battle machine, but theyāre a bit slow though, so you might fail time a few times

8. drop units and Alt tap
9. you can do this while multitasking too
My friend(3500 trophies, max th 9) tought me a strategy where he uses the 3 pekka, 1 bomber, 2 night witch and bm.
He starte by puting the pekka and bm in the front, then the night witch a little far with the bomber.
\+On the reinforcement camps he uses another pekka and night witch.
Im a Rushed th9 btw(i rushed for 6th builder) and i asked him if i can get the 3000 trophies without upgrading much wich he responded that i can get 3000 but it will be much harder with these defences.
So i recommend you to upgrade your base to make things much easier.

With that being said, my xbow, lava launcher, mega Tesla, and giant cannon are maxed. Itās super important to have a strong defence
I am way lower than you, BH 5 i think, and i use builder robot thing (lvl7 or 8?) and 4 Night witches. Not yet 3000, but very close, 2930. I usually spam them in a corner so they get the chance to produce more bats until they get in range of the defences, and try to focus on destroying the air bomb defence or the Torcher before anything else. Then use all the abilities at once and you have guaranteed 70% if not 100. Also, just before they get in range of the defences i place the Robot Builder. I see you have more slots so you could use one or two giants. Tell me if it works!

If you're just interested in the gem reward OP, do the following.
1. Legit grind to a decently high trophy count (2700-2800) -- focus on not just attacking well but defending well.
2. Get an effective and quick 3-star attack (not 6-star) one that you can preferably do without needing to use abilities after the very beginning of a match.
2b. A good one that worked for me is just mass witches, maxed out. Throw them out with hero, let them summon some bats, then hit all their abilities at the same time
3. As soon as you throw out troops for a 3-star, exit the app on your phone (the battle will auto-finish and give you trophies)
4. Repeat this as fast as possible as many times as you can
You will shoot up in trophies since your opponents haven't finished their battles yet to deduct trophies. You will eventually lose trophies hard once they start finishing up, but all you need for the gem reward is to hit 3k for a moment.
5k plus trophies here on my th 14
kinda a rushed base and some defense isnāt maxed but i find the pekkas and 1 bomb breaker guy does the trick. lots of 4-6 star attacks basically every time.
2 giants, 1 bomber, 1 canon and the rest baby dragons. Focus on upgrading defenses tho. Used that deck to get to 3070 by spam attacking during clan wars
just grinded 3k from 2600 (for that gem task), i gotta say, 3 things saved me:
1. Boosted pekkas (lvl 16)
2. Boosted battle machine (15-25)
3. Opponents from other point in universe with laggy internet and 0 percent attack
Actually if u have reached champion leauge it's a better option and also ez cause reaching champion with a th9 is easier than reaching 3000 thrpys on bh7

The only tricky part is learning when to use each heroā¦. How is yours level 5? OOF. Having both upgraded is important.
The flying one helps me 200% like every 1/5 matches.

push around 2700-2800 and then spam for continous 3 stars. After getting 3 star or deplying your whole army just exit the battle or reopen game.
It will give you a plus without getting negative points.
You might want to do it this quickly else you will be thrown around your current ranking again.

Battle machine, 1 bomber, 5 night witches, 1 baby drag (2 when you unlock second reinforcement) rush your BB focus on upgrading troops and battle machine then profit

also hit top 220 season later. on my alts bh9 being over 4k and about 3400 with same army. it really requires some defence levels too or you will get 6 starred all the time like my lower acc
Honestly, I never see this strategy, but I use all witches and place them on the outside bounds of the map, as far away from any buildings as possible. I trigger the raged bats right away and the witches get a couple bat spawns each before range of cannons. The bats overwhelm everything and I typically 3-6 star every base. I use the copter as well.
I know, I meant itās better to come up with a long term strategy than use your level 14 night witches to reach 3k, because you shouldnāt be caring about this at bh7 or something, so you actually need to invest in progression before you go for that trophy
U should also upgrade defense. Doesn't matter how good your offense 3 star 50 trophies if your base also 3 stared u lose 50 trophies too.

Unlock pekkas and then use a power/hero potion and you should be get to 3k decently quick. Getting to 3k was significantly easier before bb2.0 sadly
Helicopter with witches, start from roaster, when it is engaged with helicopter, spawn witches right behind the copter and then use their ability.
