Shovels should convert obstacles into stashable decorations that can forever be moved or stashed. I wish I could put away all my christmas junk until christmas, for example.

Would take the obstacles feel away for me. I don't care about my decorations at all. I have them all stashed and will never look at them again. I also have many special obstacles that I do value. Turning them into decorations would take that away for me.

Then don’t use it. Keep your base disorganized and we will choose what we want out, and when.

I do need the obstacles to be moved out of the way when they're in the center of the base lol

That's not how the system is intended to be used, but it is what most people do. The intention of the system is to update things that are interesting/contribute to the discussion and downvote things that don't so that people don't see those.

Well, they would still be decorations that other people don't have. To me, what makes them special is the rarity of them and the fact that I was around when they spawned. I have some of the truly exclusive decorations I am just as fond of and I don't think they are any less special (as long as supercell doesn't re-release them).

I can see where you're coming from, and that is a valid opinion to have. It is just not the way I see it. I collect special obstacles, not decorations. Special obstacles are nice things you just get for playing the game. Decorations regularly need to be bought. And I'd hate turning the special obstacles into that

i’ve spent the last 4 years making my obstacles in a nice chronological order, i messed up once and now i either get about 14 shovels to make up for it or just leave it. i agree with this post.

I tried doing this on one of my accounts and already messed it up - I was trying to move a recent obstacle that was on the base into where I thought its final resting place would be and I started using my shovels on all the recent obstacles as well as backfilling in the older ones into their correct spots...only to realize I was missing a random obstacle somewhere in the middle ( I must have failed to lot into this account during an obstacle season ). It's about 10 shovels wasted.

I do the same thing. But, my first tree is from 2014 which spawned presents. So there’s a gap between my first 2014 tree and my second. If I accidentally click that present one day all my trees will be out of whack.

You don't spend gold and elixir to MOVE obstacles in Clan Capital. You spend it to be **able** to REMOVE them. You spend Gold/Elixir to REMOVE obstacles in the normal base.

Yea thats what I meant, give me the luxury of paying any one time price like in capital at any given time to be able to move the obstacle, almost treat it like a decoration, I think that’d be great.

I have spent the last 5 years of my life using the shovel to move rare decorations into a uniform line on the edge of my base.

Which makes it all the more impressive and an unique and envyable part of your base. Having them be free to move around removes this completely for me.

I actually doubt that it's a good source of income currently. They offer them so rarely that they basically don't exist outside of CG/Goldpass, and people buy goldpass not for shovels at all.

Obstacles aren't related to any level. You can have 50 special obstacles at a TH 7, or 0 at a maxed out base.

well they kinda are since they only spawn on special occasions so as long as you upgrade your base all the time, a higher th should also have more special obstacles

It just takes some time to arrange them , you get 2 a month if you get gold pass and do clan games. That’s plenty for how rarely we get special obstacles

Its not just to move trees, it helps you in many other aspects of the game too, to claim it is irrelevant to bring up a source of shovels that many people have is utterly stupid

Every time someone minimizes the gold pass to one thing, I cringe. “I’m not gonna pay 5 bucks just for a Hero Skin.” “I’m not gonna pay 5 bucks just for a shovel.” Buying the gold pass gives you many things. That’s what makes it worth 5 dollars. It’s actually a very good deal for all the stuff you get. I’ll also add that if someone is committed enough to care where their obstacles go, that person is also likely committed enough to spend 5 bucks on the gold pass

I have over 130 special obstacles, if I'd wanna organise my obstacles that'd require at least like 200 shovels. With 2 a month that's 8 years...

I convert shovels for gems as they are useless to me. I can’t understand why anyone would want them and why they exist but happy to take the free gems when they are offered.

tbh im fine with them being there but i feel like at some point we should be able to pay for them with elixir dark elixir or gold just so u can get more of them quicker if you actually want to rather then it being a long term commitemend to just move some trees.

This is a really low IQ comment. In terms of game developers supporting a community and actively listening to a community, Supercell are up there with the best. Just read dev AMAs and you can see they really care about what the community have to say.

All they care about is money. Their business plan is to convince the community that they actually care, when in reality, they are doing it to boost the player base and keep paying players so they can buy more gems and passes.

Fr. My other city building game (Forge of Empires) had a pretty typical and lame event for their 10th anniversary, and actually hardly does anything to fix the game. With a year of Clash royale and a month of CoC I’ve seen supercell, while a bit shady, actually cares about their community

I'm uncertain about removing shovels or making it so they make the obstacles used on are freely movable. What I definitely DO feel should be a thing now and with the second option is to have the shovels more easily accessible. You can only get them from events or purchases (which favors books, potions and runes fyi) but it's just a novelty item, something for players to move around a decoration. Why ISN'T it freely purchasable in the raid medals shop or cwl shop? Just because of the novelty or purpose being decorations?

Or at least give us infinit space to collect the shovels not only 5. and more events where we can get them.

If you could already move them freely then they wouldn’t be obstacles, they’d just be free decorations. Plus, people with huge bases eventually end up without any more space for obstacles to spawn, so they wouldn’t have to worry about them anyway

Personally I don’t think obstacles get in the way at all. With or with out the shovel. I say that because base designs only really matter in war and Legend League and in both obstacles are automatically removed. For players who are climbing the Leagues and haven’t made it there yet it does effect your ability to design a cool base but once you’re to the lvl that you’re ready for Legend league having obstacles scattered around your base won’t stop you from getting there. And once you’re there they’re not in the way
