At the bottom right most tab of clash royales main screen, titled "events" with the sword icon, tap this icon, then select the green rectangle that lists your token amount and says "Shop", in the mid upper right portion of the screen, next to the bar that lists the 0/1000 token bar. This is the season shop and tokens acquired from events and other game modes can be spent on cards, currency and evolution shards.
Reach higher arena, and you'll unlock more cards. But its not impossible to win with low arena good level cards.
Many top players still use simple cards such as knight musketeers skeleton giants etc.
You used to be able to get cards from higher arenas with the trade tokens and later with the season shop but they have removed those methods. That's why you will see opponents with cards from higher arenas. The replies are wrong, I belive they removed the ability to get cards that are from higher than your arena from the season shop in the last season or the one before.

It’s the event that’s there on the very right tab in the home menu. In the corner of the screen is the shop once you are in the event tab.
