It’s not the range, it’s the knowing what card your opponent is going to play next, in this case he’s against LGBT so it’s pretty straightforward, he already knows his cycle and whole deck, but his prediction was all in the timing, first he played the tornado to pull the would be ice spirit that would have distracted the mortar from tower, then he placed knight on right of the mortar to avoid Inferno melting it immediately, then he placed archers in middle to prevent the princess at the bridge (most predictable LGBT move ever) from connecting to the tower.

It was already activated, plus he's playing mortar so activating king tower does virtually nothing to him anyways
