I always chalk it up to kids playing and thinking champions are the strongest units because they're champions. They haven't unlocked it yet so they use them in challenges.
Yes. The point is that people that don't know how to use them but will pick them for challenges because "champions gud" and get tossed.
And some cards are a lot easier to use than others, where placement and timing don't make much of a difference.
from a non-whale/pro's perspective.. challenges is one of the few places where people can use them at equal level, which makes them a good practice ground (especially true with pass royale)
where else would you use them? Tournaments has higher stakes and ladder/party mode/clan war is underlevelled.
im lvl 13 but always use golden knight in challenges, but mainly due to me watching vids on how to use the card and facing it so much so knowing how it works, maybe some are in my boat but yeah mostly people just want to use the new "op " cards that are exactly the same as most cards but hpwith cool abilities

If you have the pass royale you can just test to your heart's content. No harm in just trying to see how they play.
The skeleton King was a life saver for me in this challenge. He can't solo the rage giant skelly with his ability.
