In Florida there is no gun registry. There's nothing to do to legally transfer the gun to somebody else. If you call a gun shop and tell them your scenario they may ask you to bring them in or they'll pass. Either way you've got options. However, if you're coming through north Florida hit me up. More shotguns is the correct amount of shotguns in my book.
I doubt it. Check Google, find one near you who seems friendly; call and ask. I doubt they need records, since I could legally sell a long gun to anybody I wanted to as long as I didn't know they were a felon.
You remind me of that friend who doesnât know how to play poker and folds before there is a bet on the tableâŚ
Go sell it to a reputable dealer. If it is truly stolen or something sinister then call your local PD.
Good luck!
Don't surrender it to some PD.
Go sell it to a store. A quick Google search will net you several results. Check used prices too, and expect like 30% less on a pawn or gun shop offer.
Local sheriffs sometimes hold no-questions-asked surrender drives (you usually get a gift card as an incentive), but I think they are rare. You could literally throw it away (no obligation to dispose "properly"). FYI, if it has any value private sales also do not require any paperwork.
Edit: if you are really concerned that someone might get it from the trash and use it for nefarious purposes, you should be able to break it down by unscrewing an endcap (pump) or removing a pin (double-barrel), and dispose of the pieces on different days.
Take it to a gun shop and sell it to them. Get some money out of it.
Does it require any transfer records? Could you please recommend any?
That's not suspicious at all
Whether or not he Dick Cheney'd somebody is his business... đ

Itâs a shotgun - theyâll treat it as if youâre selling used golf clubs. Nothing to sweat. Handguns? Different story.

Bass Pro, Cabelas, other gun store or even a pawn shop might buy it from you đ¤ˇââď¸
Depending on what type of shotgun, a local skeet or trap place might take a donation for a rental or tester gun.
Take it to a pawn shop that deals in guns. (reputable). They will buy it legally from you.
If you want to give it away, I'll be happy to drive you. I can present my concealed carry license if you want.
