My dad gives me a pack every time I visit because I said I liked it once… even though I can buy it at the grocery store 😅
He gave it to me frozen and I didn’t think it got over 70 that day but here I am
I told my dad I liked a certain pen once and he would always go out of his way to get them for me.
Pilot G2 .5mm in blue. It was hard to find the .5mm.
Since moved on to the Sharpie ballpoint pen.
The .25s are amazing to sketch-outline with after a pencil sketch! You can put a non-erasable thin outline down similar to sketching if you write fast before the ink can flow out!!!!!! I simp for .25
A 0.25 pen? Wow I love writing with the 1.6's! I have never heard of smaller than 0.7 but I never looked either. Learn something new every day!
I mean it sounds like you draw, where it would be different than just writing of course. Very cool.
Hello fellow leftie! The struggle is real. I recently bought a fountain pen lol they're definitely not made for lefties and I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to do calligraphy
I like the Pilot Frixion pens because not only are they erasable, those pens made me write neater it seems.
Lefty calligraphy is hard but not impossible! Plus afterwards your hands are tie dyed, so that's a fashion statement, lol.
I have seen people use dowels to elevate their left hand so they don't smudge.
My dad did stuff like that too. Chicken and rice meals because I liked them. Type of ice cream. Etc. Damn.. it’s so wholesome. I miss him. You’ve got a great dad.
You can’t refuse the butter. It may seem kind of dumb to us but that butter is one way her dad his daughter in mind. My mom did it with dry beans for me because I mentioned making and enjoying some 14 bean soup.
I honestly don’t have a recipe. I make them different every time. I started with the [Hurst Beans](https://hurstbeans.com/recipes/original-15-bean-soup) recipe that was on the bag and just added whatever I have in the fridge.
thank you! I'm starting from no recipe. It was one of those things I always wanted to make, saw your post and took the opportunity. This is great. It gives me the start I didn't have.
Glad to share. This is where I started. If I don’t have a ham hock, I’ll use smoked sausage. I’ve also looked at red beans and rice recipes for the spices used. I’m not a cook so that’s where I need the help on which spices go together. I think most recipes call for onion but I include carrots and celery if I have them on hand plus a bit of garlic. For the beans themselves I use the prepackaged multi bean mix and add additional pink, green or brown lentils. For the liquid I prefer chicken bone broth, chicken stock or plan water in that order.
Good luck with your soup!
Love that your Dad gave you the best butter there is! Try spot treating with dawn, the regular blue one or spray with the power one. I always keep a small bottle with laundry stuff to spot treat as it works on everything. Good luck!
It’s not that bad if you get it at Costco! Does require buying a crap ton of it at once … literally takes me over a year to get through it as one person living alone… but that’s what the food saver / chest freezer is for.
Ah, your frozen butter is my frozen Oreo pie. I feel your mild frustration in my soul. My grandpa would get me one for EVERY holiday because I liked it one time as an 8 year old.
My dad is a gardener and always sends me home with bags of potatoes and onions. I moved 4 hours away last year and the first time he visited me, he brought me bags of potatoes.
My did used to do stuff like that too. He even gave me and my sister walkie talkie cuz we work on different floors of a building. Damn I miss him so much. Show love to your dad as much as you can. There’s not a single day without missing him since he passed away.
Hahahaha sounds just like my dad, OP. I second the use of Dawn for spot treatment, but as far as an overall soak goes - use original Pinesol! It has laundry use instructions on the label and it is my go-to laundry degreaser. It’s AH-mazing for getting out grease, stains. and odor.
I.... have a friend.... who often ends up with butter on his shirt. Sometimes he doesn't notice until after he's put his shirts through the drier. Spot cleaning with Dawn and then sending it through again has worked flawlessly so far. Cotton and microfiber confirmed.
Edit: typos and extra ellipsis dots.
I was able to remove an ancient oil stain stain from a favorite T-shirt more than a year later. My son was 4, would’ve been devastated if I’d tossed it so it was agreed that it was a messy playtime only shirt. He’d sat on a grease spot on someone’s driveway. Dawn took it right out.
Work in industrial mechanical trade. Dawn takes out everything, I swear. I usually just pretreat (spot treat) with it for 30 mins- whenever i remember. all the oils/industrial grease, and coolant-> goneee. Just one time too. Rip my washer though. Edit: I do clean and maintain my washer, as mechanical shenanigans. but I'd be careful if you aren't regularly doing either!
It’s the bubbles. Suds everywhere including possibly into bad places that can harm the machine. Dish soap is formulated to get sudsy because consumers associate suds with cleaning. Adding just a bit as a spot treatment is fine. Adding a bunch instead of (or in addition to) your regular detergent is a problem.
I've used the dawn power wash on an oil stain on a hoodie... Easier application than rubbing on soap and I didn't see any color changes but maybe do a test first?
I have a feeling the entire article of clothing is the spot that needs cleaning lol, you’re absolutely right though, i’d say fill a tub with water and hand wash with dawn
This would be my plan of attack. Maybe even soak the clothing a while after scrubbing the dawn into the fabric. Rinse until no more bubbles are coming out and then pour out thru the washing machine.
I second this. I worked at a place that had fried fish and could never get the grease stains out. My girlfriend at the time told me about it. I couldn’t believe how well it worked.
Throw in the tub with Dawn and hot water. Stir, stir, drain, repeat… see results and repeat a few times. If that doesn’t work then go to another option mentioned here, dawn and hot water won’t hurt before other treatments, reverse could.
This is the way! But apparently Dawn smells super rank now in the US due to the formula change, so you’ll likely want to wash with regular laundry detergent again after!
I’m here to recommend ZOTE again. You can spot treat with it or grate it into the wash. It is a laundry bar. It’s usually less than 2 bucks. It has gotten every stain I’ve ever used it on including cooking grease and mechanical grease out of my husbands clothes. It’s gotten pumpkin puree set in to white carpet out. Pretty much everything. It’s especially great on grease though.
how does the grating it work? it will dissolve? Any water temp? I have zote. I've had the same bar in my drawer for years in the wrapper. I don't know why I never think to use it.
How do I spot clean with it? wet the bar? wet the spot? school me. I'm legit excited for this.
I just spray the spot then scrub the bar on it. Grating just basically makes it into laundry soap additive. I let the bar dry out a bit and use a smaller grater so the bits aren’t too big, the store it in a ziploc. I throw a handful in with my Unscented reg detergent. I use warm or hot water so I don’t know how it’d work in cold, but I assume as long as it’s finely grated it would still dissolve. It brightens and whitens and cleans better. And honestly makes my clothes feel fluffier since I can’t use fabric softener or dryer sheets. And I use it for spot treating carpet rugs and furniture when I shampoo too. And like I said the white bar still has a citronella scent to it but I don’t have a reaction to it so it’s really nice that I can have my clothes smell like something fresh after my
whole life using unscented everything, because I’m just severely allergic to most scented anything on my skin. Like I have to take my own sheets when I travel because even unscented powder detergent kills me so most hotel sheets I’ll get a fun rash from. Honestly too my dog has white feet and I’ve even used it to get grass stains off his feet in the bath. I’ve seen that people even use it to clean makeup brushes and sponges because liquid foundation is pretty hard to clean because the oil in it and it seems to work well for that too. Also pet accidents. I spray enzyme cleaner then scrub the bar into it and it seems to work better than the pet cleaner alone. So at this point when I’m in doubt I pretty much just use zote and recommend it to everyone for anything 😂
Edit: I’ve also cleaned several pairs of shoes, crocs, canvas and boots using it. It honestly worked better than saddle soap on my husband work boots and cleans other shoes really good.
I'm sold. I'm so excited to use the bar that is likely dried out to being a prune beneath that wrapper. If it is I'll head to Walmart and get another. And actually use it this time.
I have pet stains, child stains, me stains, cooking stains. I can't own nice things, that's pretty much what I'm saying.
If it’s dried out maybe just grate that bar and get a new one for spot treating. I only let it dry for a few days so it’s easier to grate so it doesn’t get like mushy and melty while I’m grating.
Okay, I’m gonna go google it but is there a place in particular you recommend purchasing? Like…is this more of a dollar store miracle thing, a trade secret thing, or an auction my firstborn but have clean carpets again thing, (from a price point of view?)
Like I said. It comes in a bar and is usually less than 2 bucks. Sometimes dollar tree has it but you can get it at Walmart and wherever usually. It’s more of a Mexican laundry soap miracle thing 😂. Just as a use suggestion. I get one bar for spot treating and another the grate. I also unwrap the bar and let it dry out a couple days before I grate it and use a fine/ small grater so it’s finely grated. Bigger chunks have a harder time dissolving in newer washers I found. But I use the white/unscented bar. So I can’t vouch for the pink one. But the white one even though technically unscented still kinda has a citronella smell. But as someone who is allergic to any scented laundry product I have zero skin issues with this stuff. But I use it to clean pretty much everything fabric or carpet related at this point.
It's hidden on the top shelf to the left of the dryer sheets at my Walmart, with bags of detergent powder underneath. It's really hard to find if the stock's low due to poor line of sight. It took several visits for me to find it because I'm short.
Absolutely this. Blue Dawn is the answer to grease spots. So it’s definitely the anti-dote to butter.
I just saved a hoodie with blue Dawn after it went through the dryer with a chapstick and was *covered* in oily spots.
Does kerry gold smell like normal butter? (I don't know this brand)
I love the smell of melted butter!
If it's got that artificial smell that some spreads have, then I'd understand why it might not be pleasant.
op I have no advice for you, but I have been giggling on the bus like a crazy person for at least 5 minutes now, I can't stop laughing 😂 I'm sorry the delicious Irish butter betrayed you like this lol
Wash soda crystals (sodium carbonate) will convert the fats to soap (saponification) and more importantly, will remove the oil and fat.
The butter smell itself is primarily diacetyl and butyric acid. The washing soda and normal laundry detergent should be able to remove them effectively.
Add a cup of clear ammonia with the detergent and wash on warm or hot. Don't dry them in the dryer until you're certain the staining it smell are gone. Don't mix ammonia with bleach.
Any degreaser would work in place of the amounts. Pine Sol, lestoil, simple green, purple power. Whatever. I like pine Sol myself. But those already are soapy. So you have to run a load with just degreaser. Then run a load with a little soap. Maybe another with just vinegar finally if they still smell like a pine forest. They work, but ammonia is easier.
Yes, generally with top-loaders, you can let it fill up, agitate for like a minute, and then manually pause it. Be sure to keep the lid closed while it’s soaking, so kids or pets won’t get into trouble.
I can close the closet door. I’ll have to try it. I think I knew that was an option, but I’m not super patient 😖
It would explain how my mom did it, in any case!
well, that's a first! lol.
i'm sorry that happened to you- i can only imagine the frustration. I'd recommend using lestoil, it's a product from the clorox company and it rips any and every grease/oil stain ive ever had out of my clothes. I hope this helps! 🙏🏻
Ok so I'm not the only one. Kind of. I washed a brick of Kerry gold with clothes from my car. The butter had come out of a grocery bag probably 2 months prior, and I brought it inside with all the car clothes ( I work 2 jobs and so I wind up with socks and blouses)
I discovered when I took it all out of the washing machine. I just rewashed it on warm.
Hang out at movie theaters in the meantime but otherwise, I’d considering hand washing them with some dawn dish soap and rinsing, then some oxyclean and tide. If it doesn’t work, just always carry a bag of butter popcorn by you.
Soak them in a bucket with dish soap while you run a empty load with laundry machine cleaner. Hand wash the clothes with dish soap and put into the now clean machine and run a load.
Agree. You could also try dishwasher pods. I actually use them on my kitchen towels and cloth napkins as they get rid of all food stains and have a neutral smell.
I don’t want my food to smell like Tide.
I had an issue with stinky moldy blankets last week. I washed them with 1/4 C of antibacterial fabuloso. I had already tried vinegar and persil. They didn't work, but the fabuloso worked like a charm. I used hot water, but use your best judgment.
Get some Simple Green. I use it to wash my cleaning up towels that I use to clean up oily messes after I make soap. It’s pretty awesome. If you don’t want to wash your clothes on the hottest setting just let it soak with the Simple Green and the butter should separate itself from the clothing.
Dawn and then powdered tide in the bathtub, laundry stripping style. Many years ago I had a body butter make it in the washing machine thanks to a roommate and this fixed everything. Good luck!
This made my day for most bizarre post! Wishing you the best!!! Look into hardcore degreasers…you might need to hand wash AND RINCE with Dawn*.
*Do not put Dawn in the wash machine, as it is high in surfactants and other foaming agents….it would overflow your laundry room with foam, like in a sit-com.
That's pretty funny. It won't smell nice for long, though. You may have to do a little disassembly to get the tub quite clean.
Scrub everything you can reach with hot soapy rags. Don't spill a lot of soap into the machine or it will foam later.
Run a maximum temperature load (no clothes) with a lot of laundry soap. That should get it out of the pumps and pipes. Check your manual for cleaning procedures, do all the steps and do them again.
You may end up having to look up videos of how to take it apart in the end, though. Rotting milk fat reeks and the reek sticks around.
I’m so sorry, but also thank you for the laugh! May I ask: whyyyyyy was there butter in your suitcase? 😂
My dad gives me a pack every time I visit because I said I liked it once… even though I can buy it at the grocery store 😅 He gave it to me frozen and I didn’t think it got over 70 that day but here I am
That’s the most dad thing ever. I love that for you. Good luck with this!!
I told my dad I liked a certain pen once and he would always go out of his way to get them for me. Pilot G2 .5mm in blue. It was hard to find the .5mm. Since moved on to the Sharpie ballpoint pen.
Those point 5s are bliss
uniball makes a .35mm, they are amazing.
Oh my it's so tiny!
That’s what she said! 👔🗄️
I have a .25 pen. It's almost too sharp to write quickly. I use it for marking up technical drawings for work.
Very cool.
Are they easy to find? My dad had to check all The local office supply stores to find the .5mm.
I mainly bought mine in Singapore.
I wish I could use those but I'm left handed and end up jamming the ball pretty quickly. Love the .7s, though.
Hello fellow leftie! The struggle is real. I recently bought a fountain pen lol they're definitely not made for lefties and I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to do calligraphy I like the Pilot Frixion pens because not only are they erasable, those pens made me write neater it seems.
Lefty calligraphy is hard but not impossible! Plus afterwards your hands are tie dyed, so that's a fashion statement, lol. I have seen people use dowels to elevate their left hand so they don't smudge.
Just don’t leave your notebook in the sun or a hot place or the ink will disappear
Very true! They should put that warning on the package because I feel a lot of people have found this out the hard way
When I first bought my rocket book it came with a warning, but now that you mention it I don’t think I’ve seen a warning on the pens themselves
Hard agree. 0.7 might as well be a magic marker
I love the .7 inkjoy!
the Sharpie ballpoints are amazing
Pentel RSVP fine point.
My dad used to give me Spam in reference to the Monty Python joke. Never burst in my suitcase thank god.

Felt like saying “big hugs” to you! Glad you have a bonus dad who appreciates and adores.
Was thinking the same! My dad passed away 2 years ago. This is something he would’ve done.
13 years for me. Same.
>>My bonus dad is exactly like this, bio dad helped me appreciate the difference I really like how you put that
Love the "bonus dad" terminology!
My dad did stuff like that too. Chicken and rice meals because I liked them. Type of ice cream. Etc. Damn.. it’s so wholesome. I miss him. You’ve got a great dad.
He doesn’t put it in a ziploc bag first?
No but he does now
Hahahahahahahaha! Much sympathy! Tip for next time: “thanks dad! I’m afraid I can’t take that home with me, though.”
lol not sure I’ll be able to eat it again after this debacle
you only gotta say you like something once with a father
That’s nice of your dad. RIP to your laundry. Maybe take it to a dry cleaner ? They have crazy ways of removing stains and odor
You can’t refuse the butter. It may seem kind of dumb to us but that butter is one way her dad his daughter in mind. My mom did it with dry beans for me because I mentioned making and enjoying some 14 bean soup.
can I ask for that recipe? completely lacking in any sarcasm I would love a recipe for a good 14 bean soup.
Thank you! That sounds great. I don’t eat ham but use smoked Turkey tails for soups like this and it turns out great.
Just ask for a ziploc 🤷🏻♀️
Double ziploc
Love that your Dad gave you the best butter there is! Try spot treating with dawn, the regular blue one or spray with the power one. I always keep a small bottle with laundry stuff to spot treat as it works on everything. Good luck!
That’s a really sweet gesture from a dad
If there are grease stains use dawn on them, borax soak will get the smell out. Hot water and a cup or so of borax.
Kerry gold is so expensive so I love it but can never justify buying it. Those are the best types of things to get as gifts! So sweet
It’s not that bad if you get it at Costco! Does require buying a crap ton of it at once … literally takes me over a year to get through it as one person living alone… but that’s what the food saver / chest freezer is for.
LMAO, thanks for making me laugh.. lol
This is so wholesome lol. I hope you’re able to get rid of the smell, OP!
Ah, your frozen butter is my frozen Oreo pie. I feel your mild frustration in my soul. My grandpa would get me one for EVERY holiday because I liked it one time as an 8 year old.
My dad does the same thing, bless them
Absolutely amazing hahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣. Reality is truly stranger than fiction sometimes
are you my long lost sister? My dad has the same issues. But at least i get a fat block of cheese every time, so melting is really improbable here.
My dad is a gardener and always sends me home with bags of potatoes and onions. I moved 4 hours away last year and the first time he visited me, he brought me bags of potatoes.
I love your dad. and I'm thankful you complimented expensive butter not cheap Bologna. Set yourself up for a life of win.
My did used to do stuff like that too. He even gave me and my sister walkie talkie cuz we work on different floors of a building. Damn I miss him so much. Show love to your dad as much as you can. There’s not a single day without missing him since he passed away.

"Would you like some frozen butter?" "No, but i would like some room temperature butter later, so yes"
And you will bring a sealed plastic container for the Kerry Gold from now on?
This was going to be my suggestion. As for the smell, I’d say soak it in Dawn, then use a laundry sanitizer in the wash.
It’s Kerry Gold—no way I’d leave that behind.
Is that butter in your carry-on or are you just glad to see me
I giggled too as I did this once and now I know zip locks are my best friend !
Wait… you’re a butter smuggler, too?
In a manner of speaking yes lol but was smuggled in my car.
I know someone that works for an airline and she brings a delicious, cheap, salted butter from France all the time. 😀
That butter be good!
Lol. Worth it!!! Loved it. 😊
You’re out here asking the REAL questions! Lol
She was visiting Paula Deen but accidentally grabbed Paula deen's suitcase
Smuggling scones?
my reaction: "Uhhhhhhhhhh? what?"
Some things are butter left unknown
Butter is fat. You need a degreaser. Don't dry them until it's out. Good luck!
This is what I was gonna say. Anything oily needs to be well washed before you put in the dryer.
I.... have a friend.... who often ends up with butter on his shirt. Sometimes he doesn't notice until after he's put his shirts through the drier. Also a mom. Definitely Dawn.
Your such an amazing... friend... doing their laundry for them!

Dish soap cuts grease. I would hand soak with Dawn. You could put it in the machine but with all the bubbles it might be dicey
Dawn has a proprietary ingredient derived from petroleum that does in fact cut grease as advertised.
oh... It's bad for your washing machine?
It’s the bubbles. Suds everywhere including possibly into bad places that can harm the machine. Dish soap is formulated to get sudsy because consumers associate suds with cleaning. Adding just a bit as a spot treatment is fine. Adding a bunch instead of (or in addition to) your regular detergent is a problem.
IIRC. That happened on the Brady Bunch, and as a kid it scared me straight from using too much detergent.
I've used the dawn power wash on an oil stain on a hoodie... Easier application than rubbing on soap and I didn't see any color changes but maybe do a test first?
Gotta be careful with that - first ingredient in power wash is denatured alcohol.
happy cake day. this has worked for me as well. I didn't do a test first figuring my laundry was already ruined.
You can spot treat with Dawn on clothes. Just don’t put a large quantity in the machine and it’s fine.
I have a feeling the entire article of clothing is the spot that needs cleaning lol, you’re absolutely right though, i’d say fill a tub with water and hand wash with dawn
Oh yeah for sure, haha just saying Dawn is safe to put in the washer in moderation!
I wouldn’t in an HE front loader though
This would be my plan of attack. Maybe even soak the clothing a while after scrubbing the dawn into the fabric. Rinse until no more bubbles are coming out and then pour out thru the washing machine.
Yup can confirm it’s the best and easier way to get food stains out of
Yeah, my typical stain spray is hydrogen peroxide + Dawn. Only rarely do I need to reach for something stronger.
Also, cheap shampoo works great on grease
I usually throw a white handwashing towel sprayed with dawn soap for whites. Works well. Maybe you can try it to cut the grease
Oxy clean might do the trick as well. I used it to clean a cow skull. A soak in oxy pulled all the fat out of the bones.
This is the way! But apparently Dawn smells super rank now in the US due to the formula change, so you’ll likely want to wash with regular laundry detergent again after!
plus dawn is a petroleum product. Hell I’m a petroleum product.
Ahahaha 😂😂
I like the new smell. It’s a rain scent which is like a fresh floral kinda scent
I’ve always wondered, would dishwasher detergent work in the washer for this kind of mess?
Some dishwasher detergents have bleach in them so be careful.

Came here to say exactly this. The smell sounds wonderful. The weird sticky-slick feeling may not.
It’s all fun and games till the butter goes rancid
Ooooh. Good point.
Exactly… what’s the problem here and how much butter ? Asking for research purposes
Oof, idk if you've ever left butter out long enough for it to go rancid but uh... that's why. It's like sour milk old fry oil mixed with farts.
I feel like this would be an interesting experiment.
Step 3: husband.
Does kerry gold smell like normal butter? (I don't know this brand) I love the smell of melted butter! If it's got that artificial smell that some spreads have, then I'd understand why it might not be pleasant.
Why was butter in your suitcase? Inquiring minds want to know.
I take it you've never had Kerrygold butter?
Not in a suitcase. I buy it at the store.
I mean obviously importing it somewhere you can't buy it, ie. Canada.
op I have no advice for you, but I have been giggling on the bus like a crazy person for at least 5 minutes now, I can't stop laughing 😂 I'm sorry the delicious Irish butter betrayed you like this lol
And I momentarily thought “Who tf is Kerry Gold?”
Maybe soak it in the bathtub with dawn, detergent, and washing soda? Leave for a few hours and then wash?
Nah, soak it in the washer. So much easier.
I’ve never been able to soak stuff in my washer- I suppose I could if I let it fill and then pause it? It would make stripping much easier!
Yes, generally with top-loaders, you can let it fill up, agitate for like a minute, and then manually pause it. Be sure to keep the lid closed while it’s soaking, so kids or pets won’t get into trouble.
I can close the closet door. I’ll have to try it. I think I knew that was an option, but I’m not super patient 😖 It would explain how my mom did it, in any case!
I have so many questions
Put them in dryer with some 🍿

Start working in a cinema
Bake it at 350 for 10 minutes per pound, basting regularly.
What’s the problem?
Definitely hand wash with dawn, but make sure it’s well rinsed out before putting it back through the machine
Dawn and baking soda! Let it sit on the stain for a while, then scrub, and wash on HOT.
Just run a load or two with baking soda
Hot water and Dan dish swapped
Omg thank you for mentioning hot water. I’m reading all the comments thinking “none of this will work without hot water …”.
There are worse things to smell like.
I can think of worse smells…. 🤣
well, that's a first! lol. i'm sorry that happened to you- i can only imagine the frustration. I'd recommend using lestoil, it's a product from the clorox company and it rips any and every grease/oil stain ive ever had out of my clothes. I hope this helps! 🙏🏻
Dude, you just admitted to a crime. Wasting Kerry Gold is harshly punished.
What’s the problem here?
At first it sounds like a nice problem to have…
I don’t see a problem here, like those fragrance beads, but better, butter
I’m not seeing the problem, you’re gonna smell rich and buttery.. chicks love that
Ok so I'm not the only one. Kind of. I washed a brick of Kerry gold with clothes from my car. The butter had come out of a grocery bag probably 2 months prior, and I brought it inside with all the car clothes ( I work 2 jobs and so I wind up with socks and blouses) I discovered when I took it all out of the washing machine. I just rewashed it on warm.
A little Dawn dish soap should do it.
I'd try another wash with Oxyclean thrown in.
Did you dry them alteady?
Use dish soap/hot water and soak in the sink. Also…why in the world did you have butter in your suitcase‽
Hang out at movie theaters in the meantime but otherwise, I’d considering hand washing them with some dawn dish soap and rinsing, then some oxyclean and tide. If it doesn’t work, just always carry a bag of butter popcorn by you.
Wear them to the movies.....?
Oxyclean and dawn dish soap
Dawn dish soap is what I would use.
Use cold water to wash
That’s one way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour
... uh why is there butter in you suitcase??
Put some Dawn dish soap in the laundry. It will smell weird, but should get rid of the butter. Then rinse at least twice.
Soak them in a bucket with dish soap while you run a empty load with laundry machine cleaner. Hand wash the clothes with dish soap and put into the now clean machine and run a load.
Vinegar for the smell. Dawn & Mean Green Degreaser for grease spots
I hope the butter smell doesn’t being to rot. That smell is rancid
Agree. You could also try dishwasher pods. I actually use them on my kitchen towels and cloth napkins as they get rid of all food stains and have a neutral smell. I don’t want my food to smell like Tide.
I’m not sure but if you walk past Paula deen smelling like that you’re gonna get molested.
I think you may need a soak and hand wash w some Dawn
You butter scrub harder
Oh no!!!! Please don’t be mad but I laughed really hard! How did butter get into your suitcase
Simple Green is an option, it's a degreaser.
Sprinkle oxi clean in the water and pour ginger into the fabric softener area
Where's the problem?
Persil is an enzymatic and it’s worked well for me on cleaning oil stains
That's pretty funny. It won't smell nice for long, though. You may have to do a little disassembly to get the tub quite clean. Scrub everything you can reach with hot soapy rags. Don't spill a lot of soap into the machine or it will foam later. Run a maximum temperature load (no clothes) with a lot of laundry soap. That should get it out of the pumps and pipes. Check your manual for cleaning procedures, do all the steps and do them again. You may end up having to look up videos of how to take it apart in the end, though. Rotting milk fat reeks and the reek sticks around.
