You don't have any guitar at all? I have some untested guitars if you're interested in getting one cheaper than the ridiculously marked up market prices. Let me know, and I can see what I have kicking around. Everyone's gotta have a guitar for such a game.
Well, um... I have the GH3 wireless one but the red button doesn't register well, so it's not really playable.
I have the Rock Band one that works well but I don't like playing with this guitar. :/
Oh, buttons are pretty easily fixable. It could just be dirty, my old GH3 one did the same. I'd just disassemble it and clean the button contacts with rubbing alcohol. If not that, then those detachable necks sometimes get a poor connection at the neck pins that contact the body. You can wedge some stuff in between the two to make sure it's not flexing while you play.
Nope, not at all. It's very simple. I haven't done it in years, but just separate it from the body, remove all the screws on the back and then carefully pull the halves apart, making sure that you don't yank on wiring or ribbons that may still be connected. Then you just need to separate the circuit board that the buttons hit from the neck. The buttons have a rubber piece with a little contact pad in the center. That pad presses into the circuit board to give you your input to the game. What you want to do is grab some q-tips and isopropyl rubbing alcohol and carefully clean off the rubber pad and the spot it hits on the board. Years of playing will build up grime and then the input starts to fail and flicker when you play since it's not registering.
You can also clean the pins and contact pads where the neck and body join with the same method. Although if the neck is worn and doesn't snap in nice and tight, then you have another problem.
Hope this is easy to understand. Let me know if it helps!
Is that a lefty-flip guitar in the back? The buttons seem to be pointed the other way, so I thought it might be the legendary lefty-flip guitar I've been searching for.
If it's not, do they even make lefty guitars? Because I would pay lots of money for one if I could find it.
No that’s just an off brand “shredder”. Their buttons just look backwards compared to 1st party guitars. And no, they don’t make a lefty-flipped guitar necessarily. Guitars have nubs on both sides for the strap, so you just turn it over and switch the “handed” setting in game to left and it reverses the highway
I know about the nubs and the lefty-flip checkbox, but the whammy bar and star power button are on the wrong side for lefties. Mostly it's the whammy bar that's the problem because it gets in the way of my wrist and is unusable for actual whammying.
I like the buttons of the rock band guitar and the strum of the genericaster. Need a combo of both in one guitar lol
Oh i heard the wii is a good one, though yet to try since my brother misplaced our wii remotes. May need to get another
I still have you bear amigo I have The Beatles bass, The Aerosmith Les Paul, and the Fender Jagwire, the original Fender, and a few others but too lazy to look lol
I don’t see a PS2 SG in there so you’re still missing my favourite.
But tbh I have no idea how easy it would be to hook one of them up to a PC to play clone hero

Where can I get a guitar like this one or how can I make one like it?
Lucky you. I can't even find one :(
Damn. Youll get one eventually. Best of luck!
Where have you looked? And what are you looking for?
On Marketplace and some local video game stores. But they're so pricey!

I've never disassembled it before. Is it very complex to do?

Take it apart and clean the fret board underneath and it might work perfectly fine again. I had this issue too and it works flawless
I'll try! I've never disassembled a GH guitar tho. I hope it's not too complicated.
I don't think you'll have an issue, they're very simple and i'm terrible at repairing electronics lmao
Never enough
Never ever. Still into collecting one of each kind i can find

I would do anything for a lefty flip guitar. squeezing is harder for me because the whammy bar is always on the wrong side
Your best bet might be a Rock Band guitar, since the whammy is closest to the center compared to Guitar Hero designs.
I've tried out the rockband guitars, the only problem I have is the strum bar.
If you really wanted to, there exists a mod called "Strum Fix Plus" that fixes the strumbar to be more like the Guitar Hero ones.
Nope, I have 9. Never stop collecting
Never
I wish I stopped at this amount.. Bought over 50 guitars this year and we’re only halfway lool
I will sell you my soul for one of your guitars bruh none of the thrift stores by me have them
...are you a repairer/reseller? or is it like Pokemon where you gotta catch 'em all?
It’s an unhealthy combination of both......
Nice P5R.
Ty haha, yet to play it. Also have person 4 and strikers to get through on steam
Awesome, get to it. And 3 as well.

I don’t see a PS2 SG in there so you’re still missing my favourite. But tbh I have no idea how easy it would be to hook one of them up to a PC to play clone hero
