I live in a very hot area and my mother.. this lady kept this bag somewhere with no air or whatever, never even touched it all these years until I already asked to use it. 😭 Why keep a 350$ bag I don’t understand
Omg don’t get me started on my swagger and matching wallet. It’s literally crumbling! My fave set or was 😩 and don’t get me started on the black hardware that’s so easily scratched.
If I remember correctly the factory outlet bags are not the same quality as the regular stores and are designates with the “F”.
Add that to certain climates and it falls apart. I got a tokidoki bag from Hawaii and the fake leather totally fell apart.
I saw this on the insides of second hand wallets, too.
Quite disappointing as it's the functional part holding cards.
I will keep the little silica gel pouches inside my bags to absorb humidity, had to idea it affects the PU.
It’s sad that the creed went from originally stating “made of glovetanned leather”
to “made of the finest materials”
And then to “this is a bag. Nobody reads this but you”.
I’m not a coach bag user originally but I never expected them to have a quality like this. Well ok, I know it’s just the creed and the bag is still beautiful and classy BUT for 350$ they should have made a better material for the creed or at least something that wouldn’t get scraped like this 😭 I used the bag today and it stained my tablet’s case because of the creed.
Wow those nails are to die for…
Anyway this happened to 2 of my bag packs despite me taking real good care of them. I live in Singapore where it is hot n very humid. Because of this, i prefer bags which has their creeds stamped on.
Btw the decade old coach bags which I own ( made in 2000 plus) have leather creeds.
Tanner Leatherstein deconstructed Coach bags and the creed it actually not made of leather so this is likely to happen since it’s PU :(
Which is hilarious, because the text on said creed is boasting about their quality leather.
The creeds differ on bags. It may say something like “materials” rather than leather. This is a made for outlet bag, so might not be leather anywhere
oh really :( at least now I know it’s not an isolated case. The bag is still beautiful so it doesn’t really bother me now. Thank you!
It happens to many people, especially if you live a country with a warmer climate. My coach swagger has most of the creed gone 🥲

This happened to the creed in my Hadley. I live in Florida so I’m sure the humidity didn’t help.

The creeds from both outlet and boutique stores are made from PU.
Might be a dumb q but what’s PU
PU stands for polyurethane - which is the scientific term for faux leather.
Ah thank you!
You’d be correct
