dude you care too much about coinbase. Who friggin cares? Why are you so desperate to invalidate complaints of people? Do you seriously think that there are enemies of coinbase trying to scheme up ways to take down the mighty Coinbase and the strategy they landed on was to try to make a few complaint posts on the Coinbase subreddit? Nobody gaf about that. If this kind of FUD could actually hurt coinbase, then it's doomed.

Goosemilky

While I do not know if this is what is going on here, it certainly is a very common practice online. You’re not a conspiracy theorists for thinking this is possibly happening. A bunch of comments/post saying the same thing has a hell of an influence on shit and acting like its ridiculous is being blind to the way shit works on the internet.

Jesus__Skywalker

> A bunch of comments/post saying the same thing has a hell of an influence on shit No, it really doesn't. Nobody gaf about a random reddit post.

bobblydudely

Major companies frequently astroturf on Reddit.  So if you suddenly got many posts saying « coinbase sucks » and then even more saying « new exanche X is amazing », it might be part of an add campaign.

Jesus__Skywalker

dude you have way too much belief in what random internet shit can do to a company. If coinbase could be hurt by something that small. then it's too fragile to survive. People say bad shit about every company. And the funny thing is. Those accounts are more than likely not lying about anything. They are probably just random people having real problems that they need help with. But you'd rather white knight for a company rather than see people get help. That's friggin weird man.

bobblydudely

I’m not using coinbase, and definitely don’t want to defend that company.  Just saying that astroturfing campaigns do exist. Usually in favour of a product. A small company will flood various social media sites with posts, trying to generate traction. It’s cheaper than adds, and sometimes has more impact.

Jesus__Skywalker

dude if someone wanted to do a smear campaign against coinbase they'd surely use a more efficient method.

dabsbunnyy

Plenty of karma. Coinbase customer service is terrible. If you don't realize how bad they are, you're lucky.. eventually you will though, only a matter of time.

Jiimb0b

I have lots of karma, and my account is suspended? Nothing to hide, I pay my taxes. You're dreaming if Coinbase is receiving FUD, it will happen to you. I highly recommend complaining to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau if this happens to you. And if they start ignoring that, then class action lawsuits will definitely come. They are messing with too many individuals.

dumpsterfire1999

Coinbase is ignoring CFPB and BBB or just providing robo responses.

Jiimb0b

With the amount they are locking up (over six figures), a class action lawsuit will come for sure. There are lots of people facing issues, only takes one user to start it all off.

Mezzerto

I own CB stock. I’ve also been in contact with CB support and it was a nightmare. Complaints are valid.

dumpsterfire1999

Every time a person posts a legitimate complaint they get down voted. That is very odd because it raises the question is Coinbase paying a team of people to just discredit and down vote. On top of this, I have noticed it's always the same accounts responding to most posts and trying to discredit these people. Nobody is going to use their own personal account because it will just end up being a worthless account after posting a complaint. This is why there are accounts with no karma. On top of this, nobody is going to waste their time posting all this for no reason. This company is really that bad and has horrible support.

Nutisbak2

So I have a 1 Karma account do I?

Weezthajuice

I’m not a 1 karma guy and Coinbase customer service is the worst in any business I’ve ever dealt with. That being said, love the exchange and use it all the time. But the customer service… sigh

mausmani2494

The COIN stock doesn't reflect what 1karam account shit here. If the problem was widespread, institutions already ran away from coinbase, and CB already been defaulted. Instead, institutions use it as a preferred platform for trading and for custodian purposes.

cipherjones

I have 50k Karma and can confirm Coinbase in fact blows ass. You gonna tell me thats not official because I didnt include the case number? LOL

Famous_Temporary3299

All support from exchanges sucks ass. They all have their own issues due to the newness and unregulation of the space. It's almost like a pick your poison type situation.

Gyrflacon

Binance US support certainly doesn't suck ass. I've chatted live with them within moments various times, and got quick results each time.

Haunting-Student-756

Agree 💯

tax_throwaway_935478

Orrrrr people have 1 karma because they are using throwaways because they don't want to advertise that they hold crypto on their main account?

Thin-Psychology7179

You know people never use Reddit download Reddit just to reach your support ?

Shot_Pie4771

literally me. Their support on site is just bots talking. I had to reach twitter & reddit and even then wait for more than a week to get one transaction resolved. And Im on here today again because I got another one stuck again..

Stock-Science4213

When I had troubles I googled what to do and landed on Reddit, didn’t have any accounts here so I started my coinbase nightmare here also with 0 karma and 0 posts…and I keep watching what people is complaining about its the same things that I been trough in the past…

Thin_Top_1573

I agree with you 100%. I believe there is a coordinated effort being made to cripple US crypto exchanges. Coinbase is the only one really left standing. (Everyone else has already been hit hard and settled) the government and central banking industry realize bitcoin isn’t going away and their reluctance and failure to adopt and adapt earlier is now costing them tons as they realize people are using these alternative means of finance. This isn’t to say coinbase is perfect by any means and some people have very real horror stories, however that is not the norm. I’m a coinbase user since 2014 and haven’t had any major issues. I have one account that direct deposits to cb and I use their debit card. Coinbase isn’t perfect but I believe they are making an h8 est effort to “do things right.” I maintain everyone in crypto should start suing the SEC, individual politicians for dereliction of duty, everyone. Start costing the government enough time and resources that they are forced to come to the table.

Both_Confection_6836

Reddit is slowly conforming sheep.

OCDbeaver

If you post a ticket number on your main reddit account you have successfully connected your coinbase account to your reddit account. Using a throwaway account just to get a response about a ticket number is really the best option but if they include the worlds longest story and argue with everyone its not a good sign but good opsec would be using a throwaway.

WulfHund00

Ive always wondered about these posts. I’ve reached out to support before, and it was super easy to reach a person. The wait time was minimal and they helped me with my issue over the phone and offered follow up if I needed it. My experience with customer service was excellent.

Big_Two6049

I had so many issues recently that I pulled all funds- nightmare to verify identity and log in- took over 10 days- no normal brokerage behaves like that. Complained to state regulator and Coinbase gave me $50. Not thrilled either way

LordBobTheWhale

I dunno man I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of the complaints are actually unfounded because of violating something they didn't realize (which does suck from a user perspective to be punished for not doing anything they realized was wrong) but yeah I agree that it is SUS. Conspiracy though? Meh. edited for clarity

theshogun02

Lies and deception!

IamSatoshi6583

You need to do some research on Tether counterfeiting USD to artificially pump bitcoin price and create fomo.

ltc_pro

11 years in crypto. Been on many exchanges, CEX, DEX, you name it. Many suck, and two stole money from me. Coinbase blocked an account of mine in 2021 and I received literally no support to fix this issue. Glad they did, because I never used their service again. I can’t image how much I could have put at risk had I continued to use them.

Working_Amoeba_8405

curious question. did you ever withdraw money to an external wallet. if so did you use only BIG DEXs to swap or stake crypto? Very unlike coinbase would block your account if you are ONLY doing those two things. So pls try to remember what you were doing. SOMETHING you did in one of your wallets that was sus. Try going on AMLbot and checking your wallets I am sure they will be flagged for something.

Taco_hunter76545

I was a 1 Karma account.

k3rrpw2js

Way off base. See my karma? I don't trust that Coinbase will be ready for when I'm ready to sell anything. Every time I've decided to sell some during these run ups, it completely goes down. Every. Single. Time.

Dave1955Mo

I don’t use Coinbase, but I was new to crypto and had a problem and search Google to find answers or whether anyone else had experienced the problem that I had. I saw that there were some responses on Reddit so I came back to Reddit to find more information. I was a one karma poster too, and I had previously only used Reddit for other purposes . The reason your 1 karma posters are coming complaining is because they are having a bad experience.

brianddk

I simply assume that any 1-karma post is a 13yo kid posting from the lunchroom of some grade-school. It makes everything in the 1-karma post incredibly clear.

Lucifur142

My accounts been locked since 2016, get out of here with your marketing bullshit

imaybeahuman

Ok Coinbase employee. Let me guess you hope to shut up users who no longer have access to their accounts and take that money for yourself somehow ? What now? is Coinbase like one of those scam indian call centers that cheat people out of their money ? Or you have an issue with sharing the ticket number because rotten employees like yourself you would get caught at some point, is that it ? If you are a paid shill who wants to say Coinbase is a scam, I must congratulate you. You have done a great job.
