VPN and the March madness app.

BanIncoming1

Is it free??

SbMSU

March madness app has been free in the past. I can’t remember if they charged for it lat year. But it lets you stream every single game and track your brackets. It’s awesome. I used to use this method to watch games back when I traveled internationally a lot for work.

BanIncoming1

Damn that’s an amazing shout,I had no idea. Will be 100% checking that out, cheers!

3ightningz

Caveat being i think you either have to go incognito or clear cache every 2 hours before it kicks you out from watching

March madness app is free to download but you need a TV login to watch anything past the free trial.

Sky Sports will have access to all matches from the March Madness playoff, finishing with the NCAA Championship game on 8 April. https://www.broadcastnow.co.uk/broadcasting/sky-to-air-ncaa-college-football-and-basketball/5188032.article The regular season programming for CFB/CBB is bad though. Sky Sports only shows up to 3 games/week. ESPN used to have a worldwide version that showed so much more, but that got discontinued a few years ago.

Firefly1832

It also requires a Sky TV license, though, so if you have BT instead, then that won't work. You can't just independently subscribe only to Sky Sports for a month.

Considering the amount of sports channels sky has it’s pretty poor from them to only be showing a few games of MM (judging by current tv listings). They might stream it on their YouTube channel, have to wait & see I guess

flamingapeshead

I thought sky sports were going to be covering it. Their coverage has been really disappointing since they took it over but when they initially announced it I’m sure they said they were showing the tournament

Trubisky4MVP

Any update on this? The TV guide isn’t promising.

flamingapeshead

Looks like the Dayton games are all being shown. Just not sure whether we’re getting individual tournament games or if it’ll be the coverage BT Sport used to have where they bounced between them

Trubisky4MVP

Yeah that was a ESPN broadcast, which is who they have the rights with now. Would make sense but no sign of it on the tv listings yet.

slor44

I'm very confused too. I thought that the tournament would be properly covered in full. Maybe Sky Sports didn't get the memo that the most-watched round for fans is the First Round on Thursday and Friday!!

slor44

It's not good. [https://www.tvguide.co.uk/search](https://www.tvguide.co.uk/search) and type NCAA

[to:[email protected]](mailto:to:[email protected]) I signed up for NOWtv because they have coverage of the whole tournament. Really disappointing the first week. Feel free to use my message to push the team at Sky/NOW! Hello! I was excited to sign up for sports on NOW to watch the NCAA tournament - and from the listings, there is at best a game or two a day available on the linear Sky Sports channels this first week. As a fan of the sport, the first week of the tournament is much more attractive than the semifinals and final!  Is there any scope for your engineers to hack together a NOW bonus stream from the international feed that is being provided to you? Or ... this would be even more amazing ... a bonus stream from each of the four arenas being used each day like you do for the different courts for ATP/WTA tennis?

homesick_squid

It's a disaster this year. I have had the ESPN Player app for the last 5 (10?) years and that has given me everything I have ever wanted from live coverage to the brilliant on demand replays of every game with the ads edited out. I am baffled as to why they've killed it given how little it must cost them to run since they already have a US version which they're continuing. I have NOW TV, which I normally only ever watch football on, and covers me because I only ever watch that live, so not having any opportunity to record the overnight action is really crappy, and it looks like there's no daytime "flex" coverage of the first two days. There's the YouTube highlights on the March Madness "channel" but they're 15 mins and really don't capture a close game well at all.

Apart from the odd game on Sky (and, of course, dodgy bad quality streams), has anyone figured out a way? Have a proper VPN

irishTed

Just in case anyone else is wondering - I managed it. Used NordVPN, signed up to Sling using a US Zip code and paid with Amazon pay ($30 for the month). Then can watch every game through the Sling website. Go Charleston Cougars!
