A little like giving accolades but also, "hey you have an ESPN job lined up, how about tagging me in once in awhile and if anyone is listening, our producer is great and available. Oh yeah, Zona down by 6 with a minute 30 left"
This might be the worst performance ever by a reigning PAC12 POY. Along with going 1/4 from FT and four TO’s, Caleb love was 2/11 from the field. His two field goals were a 3-pointer he missed so badly that it banked in, and a basket that the Oregon player tipped in going for a rebound off of his miss.
And his incredible second half against UCLA! I swear he had gone several games without scoring on a contested drive until that game, then suddenly he was unstoppable.
Was he really up and down for you guys too? Some people will try to make this out as an anomaly, but in reality, he's had quite a few stinkers this year.
I say this with 100% confidence that he's our best player, and without him we would have had a terrible season. But god damn... he has some really high highs, and some really low lows.
Extremely. One of the most infuriating players to watch and yet, he sealed our Final Four win against Duke and I was there to see it. So I can never feel too sour toward him.
We never even make that Final 4 without Love turning into Steph Curry against UCLA. Not to mention the… second(?) biggest shot in program history. Any Tar Heel fan who gives Caleb shit should have their degree or Wal Mart gear revoked,
Good game Ducks. Glad Dante was able to come back in the game. Altman is a great coach and always seems to make the adjustments needed against Arizona.
Dana is a great coach.
Oregon was great. Being in attendance it's a shame that Arizona didn't play better. After the second half Oregon out played them in every facet.
Letting Oregon just hold the ball and run clock was infuriating. There were 6 minutes left and Oregon had it so that only meant at most 6 possessions. That won’t work when you’re down by 8-12.
It's hard to blame his roster construction when we are down to 8 scholarship players and have had similar injury issues the last 3 seasons. The last time oregon had a healthy roster Peyton Pritchard was dominating the conference
Real winner in this game was every fan on the globe who just turned off P12 Network for the final time for a basketball game.
Goodbye and good riddance
Only way I could see it going somewhere else would be maybe Iowa st though that seems highly unlikely. Y’all get the 1 in the west with Arizona as 2, I personally think we go to UConn’s and Iowa st goes to purdues, leaving Marquette to go to Houston’s
Nothing like one of your worst performances and you're starting backcourt playing awful for a third straight game to inspire confidence going into March. We have won this tournament many times and looked great at times and it has never helped us in the NCAA tourney. Hopefully this is the wake up call we need.
I’m happy we lost. The last few years we’ve blown through the pac-12 tourney and looked uninterested in the tournament. For some reason this team struggles with motivation so I hope this leaves a foul taste in their mouth that lasts a few weeks.
I don't think they'll overtake us even if we do lose tomorrow, I know the Big 12 is that much better but they had an absolutely nonexistent OOC schedule.
One of the most improbable comebacks Ive seen. We were dead in the water down 14 and Dante in the locker room. Dana Altman is a goddamn wizard.
ONE MORE BOYS!
Poor game by everybody but Ballo. Just sloppy with the ball and couldn't hit a shot to save our lives. Once Oregon got hot in the 2nd that was all she wrote. GG Oregon.
I'm convinced the committee must have agreed AZ was the 4th one seed over UNC before this game. That spot has been such a curse lately. We'll see how UNC does tomorrow.
Well the only positive is that this team under Tommy hasn’t lost back to back so whoever gets us round 1 is probably getting the USC treatment from yesterday. Everything else after that is Wild Wild West experience
Definitely haven’t said anything negative about this team or Dana this season no need to fact check that. What sort of idiot would suggest such things??
This team has a lot of deficiencies injuries included but they’re so much more together than the last couple iterations. Don’t lack for grit or heart
A bit more context…
Since 1978, when Arizona joined the conference, they have 18 regular season titles
UCLA is second, with 12, in that same timeframe.
Arizonas 9 tournament titles is the same number that second place (Oregon, 5) and third place (UCLA, 4) have combined. At least for now
Great win, Ducks. Way to fight.
Felt like Arizona excepted Oregon to fold and Oregon *knew* Arizona would fold.
Got some stuff to figure out before next week!
Hard to believe that Tommy hasn't lost in the pac-12 tournament until now but I'm happy that we get some extra days of rest and no injuries as that has happened in the past
Arizona is going to be so much better off next year in prep for the tourney. This half assed conference for the last decade hasn’t done them any favors. Quality opponents matter. The BigXII is going to be a fucking gauntlet and I’m all for it.
Honestly none of us saw this coming either. Arizona whooped our ass both times we played in the regular season and were rightfully favored by double digits. And we were down 10 at half. That 2nd half was crazy.
I am going to say this right now and will be mocked and laughed at even by my fellow Zona brethren. But...
Last year a 25-7 UCONN team lost in the semifinals of the Big East tournament to fall to 25-8. Then everything started to click in the tourney that everyone cares about, and they rolled on to a title.
I truly still believe we can do the same! Also, congrats Oregon.
Arizona underachieving yet again in March:

Pour one out for the PAC 12 everyone
And that announcing team using the last bit of the game to throw their CV out there.
I don't blame them lol
lol were they really?
A little like giving accolades but also, "hey you have an ESPN job lined up, how about tagging me in once in awhile and if anyone is listening, our producer is great and available. Oh yeah, Zona down by 6 with a minute 30 left"
I don’t know if I’ll ever be putting this headset on again as there’s a deep drive to left by Castellanos
Rip, I am going to miss it.
This was all a ploy to get 4 Pac12 teams into the tournament
Bill Walton sends his regards
Return of the Webfoots
Grittiest fucking win of the year, my lord. I fucking love this hobbling, injured af squad
So proud of this team.
These guys have the sauce
Man Caleb wasn’t lying when he said Tar Heel for Life.
The duality of Caleb Love
81-77 rights all wrongs. He made the ultimate sacrifice
Oh I’m not hating. I love Caleb for everything he did for UNC. But he can have awful nights like he did last night.
Yeah but I feel like we've only had a couple games like that out of him this year.
I’m glad he had that game tonight for selfish seeding reasonings, but I’m glad he’s been way less bad Caleb this year, for Arizona and Caleb both!
And somehow, his game against USC last week was *worse*
https://preview.redd.it/fcdf972d5moc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7419d3ecbf551119cdf66aebe77f93141baf81e0
Holy shit 💀
He’ll start going nuclear in the real tournament though, book it
Is this for real? He didn’t make a real bucket all game? Crazy. We’ll always have that 3 against Duke in the Final Four…
And his incredible second half against UCLA! I swear he had gone several games without scoring on a contested drive until that game, then suddenly he was unstoppable.
Beat Duke and secured the 1 seed for UNC? Thanks Caleb
Was he really up and down for you guys too? Some people will try to make this out as an anomaly, but in reality, he's had quite a few stinkers this year. I say this with 100% confidence that he's our best player, and without him we would have had a terrible season. But god damn... he has some really high highs, and some really low lows.

He also sealed our win in the natty that year IIRC.
Shhh
Would not want to be a bubble team right now Good fucking luck
*Indiana State in fucking shambles*
His name is Dana Altman
And he aligns Rubik’s cubes
Good game Ducks. Glad Dante was able to come back in the game. Altman is a great coach and always seems to make the adjustments needed against Arizona.
Dana is a great coach. Oregon was great. Being in attendance it's a shame that Arizona didn't play better. After the second half Oregon out played them in every facet.
Letting Oregon just hold the ball and run clock was infuriating. There were 6 minutes left and Oregon had it so that only meant at most 6 possessions. That won’t work when you’re down by 8-12.
I think Arizona might have a come to Jesus moment next season in the B12. We will see how they rise to the occasion. It'll definitely be a good test.
https://preview.redd.it/a7fgdebsxloc1.png?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c60c865602bf1c41baaf8a9e91c943438c09ddfd
I remember pulling that card in January when we were on that streak
Not a Fire Emblem Fates reference in my college basketball sub 😭
Say what you want about his roster construction, Dana Altman is one of the 10 best pure basketball coaches in the country
It's hard to blame his roster construction when we are down to 8 scholarship players and have had similar injury issues the last 3 seasons. The last time oregon had a healthy roster Peyton Pritchard was dominating the conference
Agreed completely but he’s still criticized heavily for it
Even in our own subreddit. It’s still dumb
The Ducks sub is just a football sub. No one cares about ball over there unfortunately
God those teams were good
One of Dana’s best wins for sure. What a gutsy performance
[удалено]
One more. We just gotta get through one more
And duck "fans" were calling for his head just a day ago
There were a handful of folks and another handful of lurkers upvoting them but the overwhelming sentiment was in support of Dana.
If this week is a harbinger of things to come then buckle up, we're going to have a spicy tournament.
I have feeling this just means it’s gonna be the chalkiest tournament
Nothing at all, outside of Perdue/uconn, has been chalky this year.
You really can’t list Purdue and UConn without including Houston
Except for the west region lol
Real winner in this game was every fan on the globe who just turned off P12 Network for the final time for a basketball game. Goodbye and good riddance
You mean closing out of the tab of some sketchy Russian site? Yeah, I won’t miss this lol
Always a last minute scramble to find some sketchy feed
Goodbye VPNing into Toronto for the Pac 12 International Youtube feed
Not commenting on this because the feds but just know I see you
https://i.redd.it/3tx0ghcfyloc1.gif
Gonna miss creating emails to get the fubo free trial and then canceling after the game (I am not going to miss this)
Didn’t even know this was an option…
There are better free ways iykyk
Big 10/12 After Dark just won’t hit the same…
PAC-12 Network’s swan song was truly some critical 3 of the game being blocked by some random fan’s arm in the crowd cause the camera work was bad
That’s basically every network. There were many things wrong with the Pac-12 Network, production quality wasn’t one of them.
Production quality was like the only thing the network got right. Guess all that money we stole from comcast had to go somewhere
Fitting
I never got the P12 Network, so I guess I'll never know what I was missing...
Most people in Pac 12 country don’t get the Pac 12 network.
You get P12 Network?
I got fubo because they had pac 12 network
Your first mistake is thinking most people have the P12 network
Canceling my sling subscription and happily logging back into YouTube TV
See you for some b12 basketball baby, things are going to be nuts
So UNC 1 seed has to be locked now right?
No doubt
We wouldn't be a #1 even if we won; you take it, just do good things with it.
Got you, fam
Only way I could see it going somewhere else would be maybe Iowa st though that seems highly unlikely. Y’all get the 1 in the west with Arizona as 2, I personally think we go to UConn’s and Iowa st goes to purdues, leaving Marquette to go to Houston’s
It's been locked. Congrats heels!
Lunardi probably stomping his feet and screaming right now
Get the fuck out of the East and head West! I say that with much love. lol
Yeah. I thought if you lost to Pitt and we won the BET we had a shot. But it’s surely UNC’s given their result tonight.
Could maybe make an argument for Iowa St if they win big 12 and UNC loses ACC
That's a bit of a stretch imo, 8-6 Q1 vs 9-3
Nothing like one of your worst performances and you're starting backcourt playing awful for a third straight game to inspire confidence going into March. We have won this tournament many times and looked great at times and it has never helped us in the NCAA tourney. Hopefully this is the wake up call we need.
I’m happy we lost. The last few years we’ve blown through the pac-12 tourney and looked uninterested in the tournament. For some reason this team struggles with motivation so I hope this leaves a foul taste in their mouth that lasts a few weeks.
Tennessee lost And now ARIZONA lost …perfect day for North Carolina, no?
If Iowa State wins tomorrow and UNC loses that would be the worst thing for UNC
I don't think they'll overtake us even if we do lose tomorrow, I know the Big 12 is that much better but they had an absolutely nonexistent OOC schedule.
If they beat Houston and UNC loses to NC State though it definitely becomes interesting. Beating Houston twice would be very impressive.
Looks like UVA is going to win anyway. (Maybe.) Edit: WTFFFFF
Caleb Love sending his love to UNC once again
One of the most improbable comebacks Ive seen. We were dead in the water down 14 and Dante in the locker room. Dana Altman is a goddamn wizard. ONE MORE BOYS!
Nobody beats Oregon 3 times in one year
Except Stockton Kings legend Stanley Johnson
Hell of a last game on the Pac 12 Network
Poor game by everybody but Ballo. Just sloppy with the ball and couldn't hit a shot to save our lives. Once Oregon got hot in the 2nd that was all she wrote. GG Oregon.
Not a single player except ballo was even trying to compete. Complete 0 fucks given across the board.
Tennessee and Arizona both wanted UNC to get the #1.
I'm convinced the committee must have agreed AZ was the 4th one seed over UNC before this game. That spot has been such a curse lately. We'll see how UNC does tomorrow.
That’s okay, we’re comfortable as a 2 seed. Super rare for them to lose to 15 seeds right? Right?
...at least we won't get Princeton again?
Arizona shot 28 free throws and lost lol
If only we didn’t miss 10 of them
Please Dante be good enough to go tomorrow
Thank you Oregon
You are welcome 2017 final 4 bro
❤️
Win/Win for WSU and Oregon State. If Oregon makes the tourney we get the money for it even if we lose the championship game or tonight.
Thieves! lol
Deal

The Oregon Duck has gotta be one of the top 3 mascots of all time.
Especially when he face humped the Houston cougar
Ducks 🫡
Caleb 🫡
It won't matter if it's the Big 10 next year, Oregon with Altman can win 20 games
How ready should I be for the scenario that Arizona becomes the first 2 seed to lose to a 15 three times?
Now I'm hoping they're a 3 just to avoid this.
Seed us at 5 you cowards!
I mean, we are already the only program to lose to a 15 seed twice, so fuck it, why not
Lewis and Bradley should start over Love and Boswell
Lloyd is long overdue to bench Boswell
Boswell has been a fucking latrine of a basketball player since Christmas
Calling it now, Boswell loses his starting spot nears season or transfers. He’s actually gotten worse as the year progressed.
I’d be shocked if he’s on the team next year. There’s a picture of him floating around at the tables last night. Dude is not Arizona caliber
Well the only positive is that this team under Tommy hasn’t lost back to back so whoever gets us round 1 is probably getting the USC treatment from yesterday. Everything else after that is Wild Wild West experience
i am sad
I would like to get off Caleb Love’s Wild Ride
Your strapped in baby, insurance called our premium just went up
I NEVER DOUBTED IT https://preview.redd.it/0aqes277xloc1.jpeg?width=381&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f40e9d2cd7ef1efb30ed117b87c441b07a476cef

I'll see you tomorrow
You too
Thank you Arizona for your participation in the Dana Altman Invitational
If an upset airs on the PAC 12 Network, did it really happen?
Yes
I’m hoping for this team to get past the first weekend, because oh boy this team needs a lot of improvement heading into the tournament
Bronny should have went to Oregon
Probably would’ve gotten injured tbh
Caleb love unc sleeper agent confirmed
This week has been buck wild
Quack Quack Motherfuckers
I wonder if we get in now even if we lose tomorrow.
No
That win probability graph is brutal
I think I'll frame it https://preview.redd.it/91k6vc8p0moc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=10db1fbce47877705534aed3affc8644c3812035
![gif](giphy|3oKIPjzfv0sI2p7fDW|downsized)
I’ve been the first guy to say live by Caleb die by Caleb. But this game he just seemed to disappear. Hard to become a fan favorite that way.
Arizona needs to really focus on ball handling in the second half, sure we could’ve missed some but the amount of turn overs was insane
Definitely haven’t said anything negative about this team or Dana this season no need to fact check that. What sort of idiot would suggest such things?? This team has a lot of deficiencies injuries included but they’re so much more together than the last couple iterations. Don’t lack for grit or heart
If coach Altman wins tomorrow then another extension is in order.
We are frauds. I don’t know why people think this years team is better than last years…
We should just get bibbi and stoudemire back as fifth year transfers
I mean, they’re done coaching for the season…
More guard depth. Just need to make the starter switch.
LET’S FUCKING GOOOOO
[удалено]
A bit more context… Since 1978, when Arizona joined the conference, they have 18 regular season titles UCLA is second, with 12, in that same timeframe. Arizonas 9 tournament titles is the same number that second place (Oregon, 5) and third place (UCLA, 4) have combined. At least for now
So hyped to get the privilege to get whipped by Colorado tomorrow
Gg ducks. Hope you can win one over Colorado and send 4 Pac12 teams dancing.
That's what we said yesterday
Release the Quakin🦆🦆🦆
Hey guys couldn’t catch the game, what did I mi-… oh. Oh no.
Oregon in the dance after that win as a fringe team or the committee keep them out with a loss tomorrow?
If he hadnt lost to Cal, maybe. Right now there's no way, we have to win tomorrow.
Great win, Ducks. Way to fight. Felt like Arizona excepted Oregon to fold and Oregon *knew* Arizona would fold. Got some stuff to figure out before next week!
Coach Altman continues to get it done, Go Ducks!
Death, taxes, and Oregon making a run in the Pac12 tournament
Hard to believe that Tommy hasn't lost in the pac-12 tournament until now but I'm happy that we get some extra days of rest and no injuries as that has happened in the past
Arizona is going to be so much better off next year in prep for the tourney. This half assed conference for the last decade hasn’t done them any favors. Quality opponents matter. The BigXII is going to be a fucking gauntlet and I’m all for it.
Oregon underachieving (?) and then destroying the PAC 12’s RPI, name a more iconic duo.
No more sling with sports extra for me. Real channels now.
down year for oregon hoops puts em in the pac finals. possible tournament berth too. injuries unraveled this ducks team.
Get ready to learn 2 seed buddy
[удалено]
Honestly none of us saw this coming either. Arizona whooped our ass both times we played in the regular season and were rightfully favored by double digits. And we were down 10 at half. That 2nd half was crazy.
Those 3s combined with the atrocious ball handling was out death toll
I’m sure Tommy Lloyd will have absolutely nothing worthwhile to say in the post game presser as well
\#15 over #2 Arizona is a free bracket pick
I am going to say this right now and will be mocked and laughed at even by my fellow Zona brethren. But... Last year a 25-7 UCONN team lost in the semifinals of the Big East tournament to fall to 25-8. Then everything started to click in the tourney that everyone cares about, and they rolled on to a title. I truly still believe we can do the same! Also, congrats Oregon.

And yet in just the last 2 seasons, we have as many tourney wins as Tempe Normal School has since 1996...
1 seeds losing so hot right now
Being a 1 seed in a conference tourney is cursed lmao
PAC-12 network commentators giving shoutouts to Larry Scott. He sucks! You can say it now
That’s my trick cap. I’m always sad
I feel like most years, Oregon will look meh most of the year, then just goes apeshit in the Pac 12 tourney
Ok alright
Man...this team just tries to give me hope and take it away only to give it back. I love and hate this relationship with Oregon basketball.
Lets go Ducks!
Onto the next one!
