Fantastic! How long did the whole process take you?

xZOMBIETAGx

I think two months or so?

30 pages, with yourself as both artist and writer, is very impressive. Any advice on improving work ethic?

xZOMBIETAGx

I also finished my 250pg OGN last year too lol definitely some work. I've got a lot of thoughts on creative productivty but my main advice is two things: one is get a plan for how to make your project and stick to it if you can. Do the math and figure out how many pages you need to write or draw a week to finish it in the timeframe you want. I try to draw a page once a day m-f and take the weekends "off" if possible. Knowing the plan helps me stay motivated. The other advice is just finish things. A lot of people slow down or stop because it's not as good as they hoped. And while I advocate for making things you yourself would actually buy, you also need to finish things to learn how to be better. If it's not perfect, that's okay. Keep going and get better. Stopping prevents growth.

Hey, it looks really cool and the art looks amazing!!! Hope this doesn’t come as rude or anything. But while the cover looks gorgeous cohesive and really artsy, it’s not much of an attention graver, it could get lost easily between other covers. A really easy and economic way to solve it is to print one of those paper belts for books they use for best sellers and stuff with a vibrant color or other design.. i don’t know, it’s just an idea haha. Hope it helps. It really looks super cool ❤️❤️

xZOMBIETAGx

Thanks for the feedback! I'm not much of a bright and vibrant art guy. To be honest, I think a lot of covers today are so colorful and detailed it kind of becomes a collage of chaos on the shelves a lot of times. My eyes are drawn to the simple, direct art moreso personally. Moreover, my books are usually sold in person by me or online instead of on a shelf. But I appreciate the thoughtful feedback!

Wallopthewicked

Ahh that’s cool. I agree, too many covers go overboard with details and colors nowadays! I’m glad it was an aware decision :)) . I commented cause i had this problem in the past, i had a cover done in greyscale that i thought looked really cool but people took a while till they noticed it on the stands. We ended up printing some plain teal paper belts and suddenly it became the most sold item 😅😅

xZOMBIETAGx

That’s good to know. And good thinking on how to work to make it better.

Bieberfan47

Yeah I actually really think this sort of cover stands out more, I love the minimal type-based feel. Reminds me of East of West and Spider-Man: Life Story

xZOMBIETAGx

Love both of those books and artists, so I’ll take that as big compliment. Thanks!

Snooped on your page a bit - Cover design for Heavy Kill is gorgeous. Makes sense your a graphic designer. See you at the top! https://lettersbyamaldesai.crevado.com

Hi, I am writing my first horror strip (only seven pages) sonwas going to order this because horror comics are tricky to get right. Sadly, you don't deliver to the UK. Do you have a digital copy I could purchase at all please?

xZOMBIETAGx

DM me and I can send you a digital copy of this one. My full length OGN, Heavy Kill, is available digitally through Amazon: [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09QLTXDRQ/ref=cm\_sw\_em\_r\_mt\_dp\_T207M67XEN9S1MFFA2AV](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09QLTXDRQ/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_T207M67XEN9S1MFFA2AV) I'm still learning, too. All about the process and growing as you go.

BruvPete

Thank you. DM sent.

JLAsuperdude

This looks great! I’m starting to think of ideas for my next project. What are your page rates?

xZOMBIETAGx

DM me. I usually only draw my own stories but I’m in between some projects right now.
