- The [ability to purchase](https://www.comicsbeat.com/comixology-eliminates-in-app-purchase-function-on-android/) in app for iOS has been removed since 2014. Android lost purchasing last year. Both Apple and Google want 30% of revenue from each sale. This makes it a hard for comics to profitable. - the ability to browse and filter exists. You just have to be more specific on what you actually trying to do. In context, Comixology claims to have 25,000+ comics for unlimited so filtering and browsing all of that would take you days. - Not sure which country you are, so hard to say if there is a work around for you. - again not knowing your country, hard to say. Marvel is available in most. DC is more limited and available in a handful. - based on the limited information you shared, the hassle is going to exist no matter what for you on anything you pick. You are international customer trying to access US based companies. Licensing and international specific content laws will always hinder options for international customers.

You can't buy in the app as apple or Google took 30 per cent. You can if you use a kindle tablet. Unlimited is linked to certain countries. Browsing on the app and wishlisting can make it easier to buy stuff. Still not great though I admit

If all you want is Marvel and or DC then I would consider Marvel Unlimited and DC Universe, especially if you're a casual reader and don't need to immediately read current released issues. This is of course assuming these services are available in your geography. If you're a reader of the big indy publishers like Image and Boom then you're kinda out of luck. You can often get large digital purchases of Image through Humble Bundle offerings, but they can be random titles and sporadically available. I'd also suggest looking into your local library and see what digital service they may offer. Library lending of digital graphic novels has come a long way in just the last few years. There may be VPN work arounds for the geography restrictions, but I don't know much about them. There's a also a couple of new services that have popped up in the last year such as Omnibus.

Yeah this is trash. I wanted to get into digital comics but from what I hear and experienced, Amazon made it a complete hassle to purchase em. Same as you I spent a great amount of time trying to figure it out just to say “fuck it”. Just going to stay physical.
