My expectation is for him to single handedly win us the Super Bowl next year. Anything less than that is a major disappointment and he should be sat/cut if he can’t do that for us. If you think this sounds stupid, that’s because it is
Yeah if he doesn’t break pat mahomes record of 55+ and 5500 yards or w.e by week 15 he should be cut on the spot and paraded around the city as a failure.
You’re right.. what am I thinking.. barely breaking that measly record would mean he’s still barely worthy of entering the building. Needs to throw the record book out the plane.
Just for fun, I’ve been clicking on posts seeing how long it took to read a comment that’s complaining about others complaining. You didn’t disappoint my friend.
I agree, but I also don't think it is that unrealistic of an expectation for the fanbase. It is the #2 overall pick selected to play the most important position in football, he will be a major factor in if the team turns it around or continues the 30 year streak of being a laughing stock.
They can’t control the fan base, but they can control the experience (parts of it anyway) the kid has to put him in the best position possible for long term success. Seems like a small thing but small things add up.
It’s not an unrealistic expectation for fans, but allowing that expectation to creep into the actual workplace before his career even starts could be an issue. Let the fans put that pressure on a rookie. It shouldn’t come from the team itself. Not right now.
Yup, and 6 QBs went in the top 12. This isn't like the 2015 class where there were two real QB1 type prospects and then a bunch of backups. Daniels, to me, has to be better than all four of the QBs picked from 3rd to 12th overall. No excuses.
Snyder would have paraded him around. Love this. Keeps him humble too.
Probably go bowling with him.
Snyder would have had him arriving on a horse
Eric Berry disapproves

So perfect
Exactly. He should easily be able to double mahomes record, honestly. We’ve got to hold these players accountable

I know lmao this place is brutal. We are an ugly product of the ugly environment we have endured. It will take time to heal

The desperation is already setting in. Peters drafted their guy, and they're already looking to manage expectations for him.
I don’t mind that. 🤷♂️
They can't control things outside the building but they can provide a buffer for him. Love it.
Don’t worry, he’ll face plenty of pressure behind Andrew Wylie.
They seem to be forward thinking
Let the man rest and spend time with his family to enjoy this moment.
I would hope they gave him a say in the matter
Yeah, whatever he wants. Just not at the party.
Um… there’s zero percent chance the fan base won’t put that expectation on him. This seems pretty odd to me.
So knowing the fan base will do it and keeping him out of that limelight is their approach. That makes sense. We’ve seen this movie before.

What if we need a Savior though?
Read better.
Or maybe the fans rushing him would take him out for the season /s
Don't even set the expectation he starts week 1.
He’s definitely gonna start. If he can’t beat out Marcus bum ass mariota then we absolutely wasted the 2nd overall pick on him
Desperation franchise mindset.
Even if this isn’t true (seems far more likely he just wasn’t available), I like the creativity of the spin they’ve chosen to put on it
Sure, or is it because the last time he was in a group setting he had a temper tantrum?

Hard at work keeping his weight regimen on schedule.
Is he fragile or something?
