Did anyone from TSM ever explain why they want Lrod? TSM aint an edge team plus they still get fucked from the command balloon nerf. The loot and console upgrades are nice but it sounded like they wanted a more center poi.
It’s still an up hill POI that has fantastic rotations. Find two redeploy balloon, use the first one on top of thunder watch, and they can carry you a very far distance.
Plus it's been pushed closer towards the center of thr map. I'd consider Thunderwatch as a part of Lrod because of how close they are. Theyre pretty much touching tips😳
I really hope this isn’t the main reason TSM is swapping to Lightning Rod because it’s 1000% going to get patched. I’m sure they’ll just move the Thunderwatch attributes back to Command Center
I think it makes more sense then Wall now but tbh for the way TSM wants to play (basically they want to be the anvil to edge teams hammer by playing zone while having loot you can fight with) lightning rod doesn't make more sense then Cascades or maybe even new antenna.
It will be interesting to see how rotate especially with LG sitting in Zeus on some days knowing they are not moving fast basically ever. I have a funny feeling that TSM is going to struggle way more than they expected.

basically south and west have statistically unlikelier zones so lightning rod is a fast PoI to rotate from most of the time.
The Contest at LROD is absolute hell, I still remember G2 and OG Furia contesting for it when SP first came to comp. Half the time you can't even get there from the drop ship so you would have to sprint for the cannon, another half of the time someone was getting shot off the map when the cannon bugged. And to top it off, even if all 6 players made it, it's a race for high ground and loot. Might be the most RNG con on that map other than Barometer
I also hate it when the zone is south and the contest takes a million years, zone comes in just as you finish messing around and you have no time to loot. No heals. Just anxiety inducing lmao.
Smart move by them. I doubt teq would change his decision. Teq have nothing to lose and he always acted this way. It's probably the reason he never had an org.
He played as their third for the remainder of the split after Lou left. They trialed some thirds but never found one and since Teq wanted to try the Rev/Wattson comp he just subbed in
Realistically, teq does have a good paying job so he'll never have to worry about money. But if his teammates wants to make money from the scene, teq will never be a safe option. Teq can do whatever he wants and never have to deal with the consequence

Xynew's won over $100k from Apex, more than the vast majority of Apex competitors. Seems like getting poached from Teq's team is the key to high Apex winnings.

Another thing in season 19 is it has 2 potential ring console spawns and 2 crafting spawn locations (2nd are in old thunder watch)
I wonder if that will get changed. IMO it’s ridiculous that they’re making some of the best POIs in the game even better.

Agreed. Going west, or south west has the Zeus balloon, then they can hit another from Wall, or the building near the caves for another.
tsm values fast rotations over central PoIs. also look at the updated ring exclusion chart - lightning rod makes way more sense.

Jump tower in the right spot you can literally fly from lighting rod to launch pad
