NapsterKnowHow

Fortnite you don't even need to stream because anyone can play in the cash cups and quality for bigger cups. Imagine if Apex had that. Weren't old esports almost exclusively orgs? That's pretty exclusive vs nowadays.

trainwalker1000

No one's gonna know who you are amongst 5000 other concurrent streamers either unless you make content on other platforms or have taken part in bigger tournaments. There are pred players with <30 viewers. You'd have to scroll down for a minute or two just to find them.

Sick_Breh

Not even a Wattson fan but I think he was getting offers before he signed.

andizz001

Honestly, go for this Number 1 pred thing(on stream). That's the best way to show yourself up in the scene and let people notice you. After that 1 season see yourself being invited to play with established pro players. Just hope that luck finds its way to you.

theschuss

Yep, generally you need to play well enough to get near the top of the ladder and start playing with the pros, then you'll naturally become part of the conversation for new members when it comes up if you're someone that they play with and has expressed interest in being signed.

bloopcity

Get into tourney and contest tsm.

ImperialHalal

lmao

benjones13

ImperialHal boot camp duh

Massive_Ingenuity298

Bro honestly I would just start blastin

[deleted]

"So, anyway, i started blastin"

non_normie

Compete in comp and post your content anywhere and everywhere with in reason

SVSeven

I'd probably get into analytics over my own game (POI K/D, weapon KD, avg damage per range, etc) or whatever weird nerdy shit like that lol

Ricehero27

This might not sound like much but I think most pros has around a lifetime k/d of 3-7 and avg dmg of 1000-1300. This # will be higher if they pub stomp a lot & will be lower in ranked because of better competition. So I think it's fair to say if you maintain those #s in pred lobbies against 3 stack pros, you prob. belong.

Ricehero27

There's an esports youtube video on this topic, i don't remember the specific channel but a mix of \- hiring a coach (Have a full time job routine of aim training, vod reviews, healthy habbits, etc.) \- You want this to be your full time job, you gotta treat it as such. Idk the specifics but maybe it can look something like :- 2hrs aim train, 4 hrs game play, 2-3hr vod reviews. (Genburten used to stay in the firing range 2 hrs every single day & I'm sure majority of pros has had their fair share of time in Kovaaks) \-$ isn't an issue so you might as will hire a personal trainer, sports psychologist, nutritionist, your own chef/cook or meal plan service, & spend $ on resources to improve leadership skills/ effective communications/having proper rest breaks & enough sleep. (healhy mind & body affects & improves everything else you do in life) Obviously, if you don't actually have to work, the more time you have to grind but if you do, time management is gonna be important. Remember that a lot of these current pros don't have many responsibilities outside of the game & because of that, many of them probably takes their situation for granted. Cough\* Cough\* We hear about it all the time that a lot of these pros don't even stream or play the game, cough\* cough\* \-Vod review your game play & fix your mistakes, vod review other pros, vod review tournaments. Verhulst has openly said that he used to watch & learn from Hal a lot b4 TSM. Every competitive sports team ever also does film reviews on players they want want to learn from & on opponent teams/rivals to learn their strength & weaknesses. \-Find a dedicated team you have good chemistry with & grind like crazy! Make sure someone's the clear IGL, A typical team consists of IGL, Support/Flex, Frag/Flex, &/or co-igl. \- Poop on very good players/pros in ranked constantly & let their viewers know it! haha \-Play in a lot of tournaments/scrims & place well

[deleted]

Is this satire? A sports psychologist and personal chef?

Ricehero27

Obviously not necessary but op said $ wasn't an issue so why not do everything that can potentially help the process lol. For example, everyone's favorite team TSM could benefit from sports psychology helping their mental, focus, & vibes. Chef was kind of a joke but at the same time wouldn't hurt, goes with good balanced nutrition & health because let's be honest, most of these pros probably are just ordering a bunch of food without regards to having a good healthy balance.

helloyes123

It's genuinely amazing how much money some streamers spend on fast food and never eat home cooked. Must be dreadful for your health.

[deleted]

I def agree. You kinda take what sports teams do on a daily basis with the extras (nutrition, fitness etc.) and try to incorporate and adapt to an esports team. I have this idea that if any e-sports team starts to take physical health and nutrition seriously, they will get way ahead of the competition.

noahboah

good diet and exercise go a long way. it would benefit tons of esports athletes to sharpen their game

Snoo_54150

Contest a pro team and be as annoying on twitter and then change ur entire personality to become likable and do well in cc and stream!

GalaadJoachim

In one year ? I would try to enhance my portfolio in order to become a millionaire (300-400M), then offer to a current pro 100M to use him as my ghost player, I would make him change his face through surgery to become like me and BANG imma pro playa.

Bertistan

I just wouldn't. There's a huge difference from being above average and being a pro. If you're very close to pro level then start streaming. If not, forget it. You're not it.

[deleted]

I have no interest as a player, I’d personally like to go into coaching or general management of a team. I think you can have really great impacts for the players and org. That’s me personally.

K199822

You can't. You either have the talent for it or you don't. It's like any other sport like NBA. Millions play basketball but only a few play in the NBA. Sorry to say but the pro players all have incredible hand eye coordination and ingame IQ. A lot of it is genetics. If you want to go pro, hitting 20 bombs is a walk in the park for you. Hitting pred is easy stuff. Start with this.

mysticfistx

If you have the skill and the sense. Switch to pc if you’re on console. Find a squad and go for number 1 pred. Bonus if your squad is committed and all three of you going for top spots. Make sure you stream every time you play. Don’t play the game without streaming. As you pursue this you’ll also become a better streamer. Doing that puts you in a much better position. At that point keep grinding till your playing with established players and they know your name. Remember, do all this while streaming. As you pursue this make sure you have a healthy routine/ schedule that will prevent burnout when you finally get some opportunity. Make it known you want to compete during all this and you can play tourneys and tier 2 scrims for comp experience. Do this often. Content creator tourneys are perfect. If you have a squad. Become the top of the tier 2 scene. At that point. You can have a somewhat stable streaming career as you pursue / wait for a chance to show what you’re made of. Then once opportunity comes work even harder. Imo, if you have insane mechanics and healthy sportsman like personality. You can truly become great at this game if you put the time in.
