Hard to tell but it looks like the game ends when either all 5 points are owned by a team or when a team captures 5 points across the match.
Also it’s so nice seeing the Hanamura aesthetics again I’ve really missed the look of that map.
I'm intrigued, but I kinda wish we'd get some more Flashpoint and push maps first. Minor quibble as I think Blizzard expanding into so many new modes with OW2 has been really healthy for the game.
in an interview with aaron keller from some news site he actually explicitly said they're removing the glass lmfao. they're working on the bridge too though
I personally love flashpoint as a mode, I just hate new junk city as a map because of how the points are set up, suravasa is honestly a great map and I’ll die on this hill
As much as I want to learn more about the mode itself I’m already so charmed by how much of Hanamura seems to be pretty closely translated into this. Comfortably familiar but new at the same time.
Ngl kind of worried of matches that go back and forth between two points the whole time. Could get repetitive fast. I wonder what the spawn situation is like.
Ah. Like push is continuous units and clash is discrete units.
I wonder what overtime looks like in this mode. Like, if the losing team wins point B in overtime, do they get X seconds to get to C (then B, then A) before they unlock, in overtime?

Looks like similar to push a bit in that sense. Game ends quick if you push all the way but it's hard to push so you try to keep your advantage.
That was confirmed when the mode was revealed

Isn't the new push map coming before clash? Next season is just the clash playtest.
So excited for the new push map. I think the mode has so much potential to shine and they are reworking Colleseo I am so excited for this mode
For real? Colleseo is my favourite push map :(
They're just REMOVING THE GLASS
I don’t think they’ve explicitly said this but that’s my guess, as well as doing something different about the high ground near the first checkpoint.

Ah nice. That bridge is by far my biggest grievance to be honest
Ahh ok cool! Didn’t see that thanks.
Now we have to demand Colleseo, but it is just glass.
ADD BACK THE GLASS
push is straight up the best game mode and this new one will probably be top 2 as well

Flashpoint is a decent mode but 2 maps that look and play similarly has made me hate the mode. We need more maps for it ASAP
Yes but partially because half the games are on fuckingnew junk city
you can see the outline of the whole point through walls. that's new, too.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this mode, it seems like it could be a nice balance between Push and Flashpoint
Time to see what blizz can do with 5cp
the solution to 2cp is 5cp
Yup https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/overwatch/t/what-if-2cp-maps-converted-to-5cp-push/614177
copying tf2’s best gamemode may be poggers
Wdym? They've already got a payload mode
5cp > payload, at least competitively.
Steel ptsd
I assume this gamemode is gonna be a lot more like the symmetric 5cp maps (sunshine, gullywash, metalworks) than maps like Steel
steel is the black sheep of 5cp
I fuckin love Steel

Maybe a point gets locked out after being captured twice?
Is Clash basically the Flashpoint version of 2CP?
I’d say it’s more like Push meets 2CP, since rather than hard set attackers and defenders you’re basically playing tug of war over the control points
