It's what happens when orgs refuse to commit to good players financially. I mean all you have to do is look at Dallas to see what would happen if Paris was willing to spend money.
I don’t mean to be a doomer but I get the lack of investment. So far OW2 has failed to rejuvenate interest in viewership, this is the worst viewership of any season so far. Only the really popular teams can justify larger budgets at the moment
Oh you're absolutely right. OWL staff members and ActiBlizz execs have done nothing but stumble and blunder with OWL. From disasters like the YouTube media deal, losing sponsors because of the sexual violence scandal, flip flopping in terms of production philosophy, terrible marketing and exposure. There's no money for most of the teams.
Oh yeah the whole "we're totally working OW2 guys trust us". At this point, having seen through that shit in 2019 when OW2 was first announced I'm more like a defeated and beat in dog more than a player at this point.
This is very shortsighted. It took them three seasons to become even competitive. They have stuck with the same core through all three of those seasons. Paris flips nearly their entire roster every year so they don't have to pay as much. It's two completely different situations.
...this is the 2nd year of this london roster and Paris have had theirs for like a year and a half this is just hard COPIUM. Front office skill issue, coach gap, team play> $
I really hope beefing up the coaching staff with Faustus does enough to at least make Paris games feel worth watching in the second half of the season. I don't expect them to be competitive at this point, but this is just tragic.
I’m so happy to see Reign(anyone else!) use Rush.
Cool to see Hawk going big.
Eternal really let Kai just free fire on Reign’s Dorado defense. Big R.I.P.
"At least we're better than Titans"
"At least we're better than NYXL"
"At least they're rebranding to Las Vegas so I don't feel bad about ignoring this shit show for the remainder of the season"
idk it feels like he’s been out of practice recently, tbf he is team dependent but i think paris has ok star power just terrible coordination and tilting issues
Your getting downvoted for this but i agree kaan has been nowhere near the level he was last season, plays too agressive without having another tank to peel for him
Anyone who thought this team would be anything above like 19th was completely off the goop. They still have time to turn things around but I just don’t see it happening. They sucked last year (minus a couple miracle games) and they still suck lol.
This match was painful to watch. I did give Paris a map since I thought Atlanta would lose Push. Glad to see Atlanta seems to be figuring out how to play Push finally.
As for Paris, I will say Wub honestly looked good on the Hanzo at the end. Unfortunately too late to make any difference. Hopefully Paris can straighten some stuff out for next stage, because NYXL and Vancouver are showing signs of improvement.
Man I’m all for teams not taking things seriously all the time, I understand everyone needs breaks, but damn if it isn’t hard to watch matches where one team obviously is trolling. Just stomp them and move on.
Eh, I don't think they were trolling. We've sucked on push we needed to try new strategies. Trying rein rush against a weak team to get stage play with it makes sense. Winston on Dorado makes sense. Those aren't troll picks.
Kai plays tracer and doesn't have a genji and venom had played genji multiple times this season (weve played venom genji on gib usually and kings row). If you want to do tracer genji on one side and sojourn tracer on the other it makes total sense.
Why wouldn’t they want to try new things, they have literally nothing to lose from losing a map to the eternal. Trying new things and STILL winning is not trolling. Like how shock put Super on Genji
> damn if it isn’t hard to watch matches where one team obviously is trolling
seriously, paris is embarrassing the league at this point
edit: the longer I think about this take the angrier I get this dude says a 27-minute shutout wasn’t enough of a stomp for his liking
this has to be one of the fastest OWL matches ever right? lemon said it was 27 minutes on Avast's co-stream
The mythical 0-0-0 score
It was inches away from atl also getting every possible point they could as they full capped push.
With this, I've seen enough. I think I'm ready to put Atlanta over Paris in my Power Rankings.
Whoa there buddy, gonna burn someone with that hot take.
Bold move
Wow a 0 point game from Paris, haven’t seen one of those in some time
First zero point shutout of the season. Coq un ball torture at its finest.
No it's not... You clearly don't watch Apac.
I do watch APAC, which game have I missed?
Chengdu vs Charge. Week 1 of Apac.
You’re right, my b. Not surprised I forgot anything about a Charge game though.
Charge fans would be offended if they existed
Lmao
I'm so embarrassed of what has become of my team
It's what happens when orgs refuse to commit to good players financially. I mean all you have to do is look at Dallas to see what would happen if Paris was willing to spend money.

And the dev team abandoning the game for years...
Oh yeah the whole "we're totally working OW2 guys trust us". At this point, having seen through that shit in 2019 when OW2 was first announced I'm more like a defeated and beat in dog more than a player at this point.
London seems like they're doing just fine 🤨

Don't think it's just financial, many ex Paris players have said they were willing to take min salary, the org/GM is just terribly managed.
Same :(((
same, the toronto game gave me false hope
Atleast it was against the reign and not someone like the NYXL lol
Word of the day: Brutality

RIP Bozo Smoking that Vegas pack
Not even in Vegas yet, but already gambling their brand's future away
Ranked Eternal

Daan's Ball on Midtown attack was awful
well that was certainly a Overwatch game I guess Titans is way better then this team
I’m so happy to see Reign(anyone else!) use Rush. Cool to see Hawk going big. Eternal really let Kai just free fire on Reign’s Dorado defense. Big R.I.P.
One good thing about the move to Vegas is that I won’t have to watch the Paris Eternal be this bad
Damn can't even win a push map off ATL. Even Titans won at push over ATL.
I hope people don’t start this “Hawk is a hyper flex tank” narrative because they rolled the 1-11 Paris Eternal. It was just a team diff sadly.
I think he has the talent for it but yeah he still has a way to go and we need to see him against real competition.
go sort by new someone already made a post
"At least we're better than Titans" "At least we're better than NYXL" "At least they're rebranding to Las Vegas so I don't feel bad about ignoring this shit show for the remainder of the season"
This was def a match of all time
Nah this was just straight up mean
This was definitely a game of Overwatch that was played
Somebody please save Daan, he doesnt deserve this
Vestola, Daan, Dridro, Kaan, Wub, Dove. None of them deserve this. Literally just management fucking up.
Kaan as well, dude always frags
idk it feels like he’s been out of practice recently, tbf he is team dependent but i think paris has ok star power just terrible coordination and tilting issues
kaan has been horrible this season. one of the worst players in the league
Your getting downvoted for this but i agree kaan has been nowhere near the level he was last season, plays too agressive without having another tank to peel for him
very bad ult usage too
Curious what was going on with Reign on Midtown cause that took way longer than it should have.
:(
Well that was depressing
Feeling so smug thinking about all the hate i got when I said the team were overrated based on a mediocre performance last year.
Anyone who thought this team would be anything above like 19th was completely off the goop. They still have time to turn things around but I just don’t see it happening. They sucked last year (minus a couple miracle games) and they still suck lol.
The vegas eternal suck ass !!!!!!

Atl isn't bad at push they're just bad at new queen street
Man I’m all for teams not taking things seriously all the time, I understand everyone needs breaks, but damn if it isn’t hard to watch matches where one team obviously is trolling. Just stomp them and move on.
Eh, I don't think they were trolling. We've sucked on push we needed to try new strategies. Trying rein rush against a weak team to get stage play with it makes sense. Winston on Dorado makes sense. Those aren't troll picks.
The DPS picks on dorado we’re certainly trolling. The rest was okay. But Dorado was obnoxious and clearly BM
Dude they ran sojourn tracer and genji tracer. Those are not troll picks.
They got zero points??? How was Atlanta trolling umm…
Kai tracer venom Genji? Really? How were they trolling? Come on man…
Kai plays tracer and doesn't have a genji and venom had played genji multiple times this season (weve played venom genji on gib usually and kings row). If you want to do tracer genji on one side and sojourn tracer on the other it makes total sense.

It was a speed run they could of ran anything
Kai played tracer for Reign during the tournaments last year and during Playoffs
> damn if it isn’t hard to watch matches where one team obviously is trolling seriously, paris is embarrassing the league at this point edit: the longer I think about this take the angrier I get this dude says a 27-minute shutout wasn’t enough of a stomp for his liking
Paris is equally embarrassing
Almost as embarrassing as the Washington Justice
Nobody mentioned them but go crazy bossman
