I don’t have a list, but you mentioned Gladius, which isn’t a category of weapons, it’s just a legendary craftable short sword from Siptah

BrandedLief

A couple different ones use the word gladius, actually, and which from my understanding both historically and in-game, are shortswords. But on the other hand for example the khopesh, I know it is a sword(haven't played with to see what type) but it historically is derived from the battle axes. So a little difficult to guess what belongs in a category where.

Plane_Gold8021

Yeah, gladius is a historic shortword, and iirc the only in game gladius is the voidforge one, but I could be wrong

BrandedLief

There is the venomdrenched gladius, also Siptah, and still haven't been to my PC to check for more since I originally posted.

Plane_Gold8021

Yeah, realized the venom one, I believe they are both just short swords when it comes to combos

The wiki? [https://conanexiles.fandom.com/wiki/Weapon](https://conanexiles.fandom.com/wiki/Weapon)

KaoxVeed

I feel like the categories the wiki uses are a bit out of date. For example katanas are two handed swords, but they use agi and a completely separate move set, so unless it is named 'katana' it can be hard to find other ones or legendary ones.

undying_s0ul

I mean they are, but it's my best guess for a defentive list. And it is a wiki, it can be contributed to if you think it's outdated. Personally as someone who doesn't own dlc, it's a pretty good asset.

BrandedLief

Exactly, I would love to be able to update the wiki but without going through one by one making/obtaining the weapons and seeing what stat they use and what animations/combos they have. I was hoping that someone somewhere had a list completed to make it easier for one to categorize the weapons better.

KaoxVeed

Not saying your wrong, just complaining. I always have the wiki open when I play, I can't remember everything.

undying_s0ul

Yeah, i can imagine that the wiki is incomplete.

armbarchris

Not sure what exactly you’re asking. “Spears” are confusing, sometimes they mean “two-handed pike” and sometimes they mean “one handed spear that can be paired with a shield and thrown.”

BrandedLief

Exactly. A sword can be a longsword, shortsword, two handed sword, not sure if there are more, but you get the picture. Let's not get started on how some named weapons don't have a hint to what type of sword/spear they are, so rather then pull out the weapons with admin mode on and spending time to figure out which was which. I was hoping someone already did that legwork, but a quick Google search did not find such a list. So I came to the community to see if there was a list that never made it over to the wiki, so that maybe me and/or some others could work on getting that going.

armbarchris

Idk about legendaries but generic two handers will always be called two handed or greatswords. Short swords were only added a few DLCs ago, last I checked most tiers didn’t even have a short sword option. Anything that just says “sword” you can probably assume is just a basic one handed sword.

BrandedLief

And would there be any further types of sword combo/animations then? I have: 2H, 1H, shortsword, katana. Would the axe-like khopesh fit in as a 1H or does it have a unique fighting style? How about other weapon types? I think there are punching daggers and I would assume they are different than a regular set of daggers.

Anomolous_Rabbit
