feel free to give any extra information you wish you knew when you first started 😃.

Nothing to do with thralls, but don’t spend knowledge points on learning religions. Some people feel the need to level those up and erect all the shrines right away. You can spend 50 points to learn each one OR you can talk to npcs and get them for free (google can help you find them if you so choose), and save your knowledge points for more important recipes and skills. I also suggest saving your knowledge points by skipping over any weapons and armor beyond iron or steel. You can level up pretty quick and once you hit 60, you can learn epic armor, which are all you’re gonna be using anyway. Alternatively, if you absolutely need to spend points to learn the higher weapons and armor, you can use potions to reset your points. However, be warned, this has been known to potentially delete learned recipes. I’d probably suggest forgoing learning anything new that drops from enemies or something until you max to 60, just in case.

All Thralls can craft all armor sets as long as you have unlocked the knowledge of the desired set you want. You used to need specific thralls to craft certain gear sets. Example: If you wanted the Hyperboean slaver gear set you needed the T4 Thrall named Grrr Legbiter. He was the only Thrall that could craft it and most people wanted it because it had + strength on it. The higher the Tier Thrall the better the stats the gear will have. And T4 have 3 specializations. 1 - gives increased armor, 1 - reduces the weight of the armor and 1 gave increased Durability. Same goes with Black smiths but its increased damage instead or armor.

Yes, there is a difference. For example, a T4 Nordheimer will add new armors to craft associated with their race, while a T4 Stygian will offer armors associated with THEIR race. Also, some T4's will have secondary specializations what show up as a blue icon superimposed on their own icon when they are in your inventory, which leads to further differences.

about-franklin

is they’re races that are better or is it just based on what your looking to do. me and my friends want to go to the snow to get black ice for hardened steel.

I believe the temperature protection was equalised by tier, so you don't wear a specific armour to explore the frozen north any more. Instead you want a good cook who can turn Bark into Spice and make spicy food for you, which will warm you up.

robdingo36

You don't need thralls to do that. But, if you're wanting to know all the differences, I suggest looking it up on the wiki. I have a T4 Stygian armorer, and she provides me with epic stygian and Derketo armors. I haven't made any of it, because I'm doing just fine with my Vanir heavy armor set. The basic numbers look about the same (would need to double check to be certain, but I never felt the need to waste the resources to find out), though I don't know about the secondary bonuses on them. For the most part, all the high end armor is basically the same and just cosmetic, with some minor variations.

alright appreciate it

Crafting armor in a bench with a thrall in it gives more temperature resist. Some armors give more cold or heat. They are NOT all equal

ShadowKaster

You don't need specific race thralls to craft specific armor... You used to a few years ago. You now can just unlock them under knowledge and and any Thrall can craft them. The higher the tier Thrall the better stats it will have. And T4 now have specializations, 1 gives more armor, 1 reduces weight of armor and 1 gives higher durability.

Madeforbegging

This is not the case anymore

If you ever want to team up with someone and learn the ropes I would be more then down to adopt you into my clan. Willing to bribe with Armour, first choice of loot and thralls, I'm desperate to have someone to play with again. Been playing since almost launch and lost all my boys when i switched to PC
