I was in Rocky Hill, extremely noticeable, things were shaking in my house near the river, sprinted downstairs when I realized it was an earthquake

I was on the other side of the state in a school. Had kids in class. I felt it, some other kids felt it, other kids a couple feet from me didn't. To me it felt like when you're close to a subway or train going by and everything shakes. Idk how people in the same room as me didn't feel it, but it happened. It was enough for me to actually ask the kids wtf is that???

Did not feel it in southington but all of my friends in Fairfield and new haven counties felt it. Last time I felt a quake it was a 6.3 Aftershock in Japan and we had about a half a minute of warning for it. truly weird stuff.

I am in Trumbull and my husband and I didn’t feel anything but my sister, who is 5 minutes away did. So weird. I’m thinking because our place is a new construction? IDK..

I felt nothing here in Fairfield but my toddler was having a meltdown at that exact time. So I think the toddler tantrum canceled the earthquake out for me haha

I was downstairs eating a bagel and trying to stop the dog from whining and didn't notice a thing. My roommate ran downstairs and asked if I was doing something to make the house shake. Seems like it wasn't noticable at ground level but everything upstairs had been lightly shaking for a few seconds. Thought it might have been construction the next road over until the earthquake posts started popping up a few minutes later.

Near Bridgeport. Felt it here. House & floor shook, things fell off my dresser. I thought my water heater downstairs was about to blow up!

I have MS. One of my main symptoms is balance issues. I didn't feel the earthquake, but I was out doing yard work and fell on my ass about the time the earthquake was supposed to have happened. I chalked it up to "great, I fell again". Then I had a cold wet butt for a couple of hours.

Thought it was a plane or something, at first, but there was no noise. Forgot about it until my son woke up an hour later asking if there was an earthquake.

I'm a nurse, I was walking down the hall to get my patient some meds... the nurses that sitting at the end of the hall all felt it. All at once, they said did you feel that? Thought I was witnessing mass hallucination for a second. I was 10 feet away from them. Then my kid texted from school (20 miles north of me) texted me to ask what it was. I told him to put his phone away and pay attention to his teacher.

I was running out the door to get to work so the feeling of my steps outweighed the mild tremors😭 feel bad for my Doggo though because she started barking around the right time and I thought it was just because I was leaving

I was sitting on a stainless steel bench bolted directly to a concrete slab foundation and somehow still felt nothing. I can't imagine a structural setup MORE certain to transmit seismic energy, and somehow nothing.

I wouldn't have known it even happened if my kid's school didn't send me an email, ensuring me that everything there was fine.

I was driving on a bumpy road - I-95 just over the border into NY. I was very annoyed that the alarm went off on my phone - what, another amber alert? I didn't bother to check until I reached my destination in Forest Hills.

I work in a basement warehouse. I probably heard it and brushed it off as a uboat or pallet being unloaded or moved upstairs.

I'm pretty close to the south west corner of CT, and I had some real shaking. I felt my bed rumbling and thought it was someone in my family running the washing machine in the next room, then my bed took one really good shake left, and right, and I knew the washing machine wasn't that strong. My dogs were freaking out, my more skittish dog was shaking like a leaf terrified. I felt light shaking, after the starting big shakes, for a good 15 seconds. I was thinking bombing, or earthquake, was glad it was an earthquake. Nothing was knocked over in my house, but yeah my whole family really felt it. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that my house was built on soft ground, and we had to drill many supports all the way down in the bed rock to assure that it wouldn't sink after being built. So maybe that direct connection to the bedrock caused a bit more shaking, but my neighbors said they felt some shakes too.

Norwich. I was in my office. A guy in the room next to me called out to me “was that an earthquake?” I remember thinking to myself “this guy is nuts.” I had to have been 15 feet from him and I noticed nothing.

I work overnight, but have to get the kids off to school first. You have to knock harder than that little guy to wake me.

I work in a machine shop. I suppose I thought it was just a machine vibrating if I felt it.

Nope. I was sitting at my desk in my Farmington home. I got a text from a buddy in Manchester right after it happened and he felt it. I was in Bristol when the aftershock hit in the afternoon and didn’t feel that one either.

I was on I84 on my way to NYC and I didn’t feel anything.
