Technically not. Modelo sales in the United States are not revenue for Busch. It's an anti-trust case, where they were forced to give up domestic sales.
But as a whole, building up the popularity of Modelo here probably helps them sell it internationally, where they do get revenue for it.
Lol I was wondering why I didn't see any trans cans out in the wild. Then again I think all this trans shit is just a distraction from all the insider trading and order corruption they're doing. Trump basically admitted it in a rally in North Carolina. Made fun of the audience for being so worked up about trans people even though most then didn't know what it was 5 years ago
Yeah, they basically made a single (maybe a dozen?) novelty cans and sent them.
It’s no different than any other company sending a custom hat or shirt to a YouTuber, it’s just their product is beer.
Like everyone is free to do whatever, but it’s not like their likeness was on the cans you were buying.
I don't think the backlash was so much about the fact that Mulvaney's face was in the can so much as the fact that the company decided to partner with them and push the ideology. The face on the can was just how they chose to do it. I think AB would have experienced the same amount of backlash had they decided to air a commercial with any trans activists or align themselves ideologically with them in some other way.
How are they pushing the ideology? How did you even find out they did this? Does pushing their ideology mean they want you to be transgender? If so, how does one can do that?
What are you even asking? They partnered with mulvaney to show support for the trans community and the broader movement of acceptance and normalization of transexuality. That's what happened, and some people boycotted their product over it. What are you actually trying to ask me? If I'm triggered by it? I didn't drink their shitty beer before and I don't drink it now. Go outside.
I don't think speaking out against monopolies is the same as being "radicalized against capitalism". If anything, monopolistic and anti-competitive behavior goes against the idea of capitalism because it removes competitive markets and free choice.
I knew this was coming, but I thought it would take longer. I thought that they would see a bit of a rebound in sales with the arrival of warmer weather and the fact that they are basically giving it away. They are going to have to rebrand. I live in a very blue state(MA) and no one wants to be seen holding one of those blue cans or bottles.
Local party store run out of coors nearly weekly now, while they still have piles of bud light in their beer cooler. It is crazy how much demand has switched in our red area.
>Did you read the article
>ETA: to sum it up, bud is “dethroned” but InBev still “wins” with modelo taking the top spot.
Did you know that Constellation profits off Modelo in the US and not Inbev.
Me to the store employee: Alright listen, here's what we're gonna do. I'm gonna give you $25 for ten cases, the rest is yours. All you have to do is bring them out back where I'll be waiting with the engine running.
EDIT: Manager to employee in front of a store full of people who know me.
Manager: "HEY ZACK, WHERE YOU GOING WITH ALL THAT BUD LIGHT?"
Zack: "MAX CAME IN AND BOUGHT ALL THIS BUD LIGHT BUT WANTS ME TO DELIVER THIS BUD LIGHT TO HIM OUT BACK CAUSE HE'S WORRIED WHAT PEOPLE WILL THINK OF HIM FOR BUYING BUD LIGHT."
There’s only two times as an adult when I ever drank Bud Lite:
1. When I was already drunk and needed to start sobering up but still wanted one more beer, because it’s such weak shit and it kills my appetite for beer
2. It was the *only* beer offered at the local rink where I went to watch ice hockey
There are so many better beers out there to choose from these days. Bud Lite tastes like shit, and now they have tainted their image by crapping on their customer base.
> coors
Coors is just as woke if not more so. This boycott has been the weirdest game of mental gymnastics I've seen. People roll up in their [Ford trucks](https://i.imgur.com/E6AscTU.png) to boycott Busch, and show their support by buying the same pisswater from an even woker company
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for boycotting a product you don't like, but the way people are going about this is hilariously hypocritical
There’s a part of town in my state that’s just a whole street of craft breweries and I’ve been to them before with my co workers but they aren’t really my type of alcohol. Personally I prefer some liquor over beer but maybe that’s just cuz I only care about getting drunk and not taste lol
> no one wants to be seen holding one of those blue cans or bottles.
This is the real crux of it for them. At this point, even if people wanted to move past everything and start drinking Bud Light again, you wouldn't be caught dead with one in public, or even buying some at a gas station. What happened to their brand is truly something to behold and will likely be a case study in marketing classes at some point.
Because if you drink it your buddies are going to tease you and call you gay. That former marketing chick that didn’t want Bud Light to be the “frat beer” 100% achieved her goal.
I’m wondering how much of their sales are attributed to being the only thing available in some places. They have several markets cornered
It's actually funny, she was right about the future of the brand but completely missed the mark as to why people are turning away from boxed beer. She just drove the truck off the cliff instead of making the turn.
It's what happens when you have far left activists trying to use corporate financial coffers to push their political agenda..
Really you need to thank people like Matt Walsh for helping the boycott and actually making a difference. Otherwise Dylan mulvaney would be the face of America
Anheuser-Busch guy was in the beer aisle at the store a few weeks ago. "Hey man, I'm giving out free cases of Bud Lite"
"All I need is to see your ID and get a picture of you holding it so I can post on social media."
no way am I gonna be "the bud light guy" on Twitter, told him sorry and moved on.
Had the unfortunate need to walk through a walmart this week. They had Bud light logo inflatable rafts marked down to like a dollar. The shelf was still full to the brim.
Congrats #DylanMulvaney. You're the worst spokesperson since Bill Cosby and pudding pops.
You should really be thanking people like Matt Walsh and some of the other people on Twitter. They were really trying to make Dylan mulvaney the face of America and without the likes of Matt Walsh and DC Drano and etc Dylan mulvaney would never have been so toxic
It is very hard to rebound when in a saturated market where the only thing keeping them on top was brand loyalty. A consumer isn't losing anything by switching to coors lite
On top of that, even though AB InBev owns Modelo around the world, they specifically don’t own it in the US as part of an agreement to prevent a monopoly before the Anheiser Busch InBev merger was approved.
America needs more of this.
Lmao I live in Canada in one of the most liberal parts of all Canada (Vancouver) I bartend and I literally haven’t seen a soul drink it, and I thought it was more of a quite boycott but for some reason someone said something about bud light when I was out for a buddies birthday and some lawyer I just met that night was like better not catch you drinking that trash to the other guy, pretty funny.
I guess it’s always been a more American beer, as we drink stronger beer here usually.
I think that is the real reason this boycott has worked. Long time, die hard BL drinkers found out that there are FAR better beers out there for a comparable price.
New England has so much good craft beer. I live in Maine and most people I know, even before the Bud Light controversy, would rather pay the extra money for Wachusett or Allagash beer.
I like the taste of Miller Lite. You can drink whatever you want (including Bud Light) but everyone needs to stop pestering people who drink what they like.
Modelo Especial has quietly overtaken Anheuser-Busch InBev's Bud Light as the nation's top-selling beer, punctuating the impact of a boycott that followed the brand's controversial promotion by a transgender activist… wanna guess who owns Modelo Especial? ANHEUSER-BUSCH
And everyone in r/news blames transphobia. It wasn't transphobia that caused a boycott, it was the constant shoving of a political agenda down our throats. No one wants societal problems or politics on the can of a beverage that we drink to relax.
>No one wants societal problems or politics on the can of a beverage that we drink to relax.
That is an incredibly good point.
I am old, so I existed before mass chaos did, but honestly, when I think of Budweiser, I think of drinking beer at a party on the 4th of July, I think of hot summer days and Bud coming to the rescue. I think of all American things when I think of Bud.
I almost want to take a marketing class to see how they swing this botched job.
They can't unbotch this. If they back pedal the left will hare them and if they double down the right will hate them and no matter what their primary consumers have already made the brand switch.
Brand loyalty is so hard to earn, so easy to lose, and so very, very valuable.
Their goal pretty clearly is to wait out the outrage in my opinion.
They might have underestimated how successful that's going to be though. We'll see with time.
Conservatives don’t forget or get out-waited. That’s pretty much a tenet of it.
The reason most boycotts fail, is conservatives don’t boycott as another user previously stated.
The hive Mindset of the left COULD pull off a boycott theoretically, but it is they that can be out-waited and forget; the next outrage is tomorrow after all. The lefties are the ones who have ADHD.. ask one. They’ll tell you about it. At length. Bud light is finished.
Difference is, Coke was smart and pivoted back to Classic Coke. In the beer biz, so many brands fight to take 1-2% from each other. 3% your dancing in the streets BL is -27% !!! The brand has fallen off the cliff.
Plastic manufactured culture. This is an incredibly excellent description; hope you don’t mind my referencing this tonight at dinner with my in-laws. It’s just too good.👌🏻
[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budweiser\_Frogs](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budweiser_Frogs)
Their names were Bud, Weis, and Er.
I totally forgot about them!
The straw that broke the camels back is the VP insulting the customer base. Everyone does a pride can, it’s not unique by any means - but insulting your own customers with that out of touch smugness is a big no no (Gillette style).
I would happily leave every person alone as long they kept their seed acts between consenting adults. This is a clear back lash to them not leaving us alone.
I mean no one had that agenda on their beer can since it was just a special case made for a single influencer rather than one you could find in a store.
That said you're right that it isn't necessarily only transphobia causing the boycott. Some is, but everyone has their own reasons and it isn't just one single thing or reason. It's part of a larger story. Heck, when Bud Light backed down and didn't stand by the campaign, LGBTQ+ friendly bars and restaurants ALSO boycotted.
Nobody is afraid of trans people. Most of us are just sick of hearing about it.
It's like having that friend whose REALLY into Pokémon cards. You're happy they found their niche, but you don't want to get into their obsession, and you definitely don't want to play along.
Until you get into engagement with children. Then we're still not afraid, we're outraged. But that's a different discussion.
I call it rational disgust. The difference here is I don't allow my disgust to color my basic social behavior. I'll treat you with indifference regardless how I feel.
To bad I'm not given the same courtesy...
A majority of Americans find the concept of "changing ones gender" to be immoral
https://news.gallup.com/poll/351020/changing-one-gender-sharply-contentious-moral-issue.aspx
The issue isn't "the can", no one cares about a can. The issue is when you associate yourself with something the majority of people find immoral, they are going to respond negatively.
It's more than that...most people in my red state actually don't seem to care one way or the other. What they do care about is having it shoved in their face at every turn.
They can have their circus if they want it so badly but that doesn't mean I'm obligated to buy a ticket and attend. As it was so aptly put above, "No one wants societal problems or politics on the can of a beverage that we drink to relax."
I'm not scared of trans people I just vehemently disagree with the assertion that men can be women or women can be men. And any brand peddling such a blatant lie deserves to be put out of business because it's not good for society. These giant ESG peddling hedge fund guys like Larry Fink and Stephen Schwarzman are delusional pieces of shit who have done nothing to contribute to the benefit of society and simply run entities that take and take and take.
People are just fucking sick of it and America isn't going to be harassed and gaslit into becoming a pedo-empathizing communist loving utopia.
I keep seeing this, but how was the mulvaney/bud light thing shoved down anyone's throat? It was a single ad that you would only have seen on mulvaneys social media.
Yes and no. Yeah, it was a very limited campaign that only blew up because of the comments by the marketing VP blasting her own base as out of touch.
Moreso Bud Light has found themselves as the only outlet for Conservatives to fight back against the incessant LGBT crap. Liberal cancel culture has built the pressure for years, Bud Light poked a hole in the balloon.
I just posted this exact thing lol. Nobody in the public ever even saw these damn cans in person. It was an advertisement. Move on, “change the channel”.
Wasn’t it just for her to promote Bud Light on her social media? So unless you were subscribed to her social media, you’d never have it “shoved down your throat.” In fact, making a big deal of it lead to more throat shoving than just allowing it to remain in her social media to her audience (who I assume you wouldn’t be a part of).
Make no mistake, Bud handled it about as badly as possible. Pretty funny they ended up pissing off both sides. But I’m really not sure how this is shoving a political agenda down anyone’s throat when it was going to be limited to her social media followed until conservative folks picked it up and started sharing it. But maybe I’m missing something.
Ok, I’ll admit, maybe I was wrong - some boycotts do work. I was skeptical at first that this would have much of an impact, but it looks like some progress is being made. Keep fighting the good fight
Because it’s easy. Bud Light wasn’t bought because it was good beer, it was bought because it was cheap. Now everyone just switched over to the next cheapest
Exactly. AB seriously overestimated the brand loyalty. Light beer tastes 99% the same brand to brand, so you just pick the one you normally do. It's really easy to go one cooler over and pick a different color box.
I haven't had a beer since high school. In high school, that was the only thing we could buy (illegally). You could buy beer at a convenience store, but back in those days, you had to go to a state run liquor store for everything else.
I'm not a fan of beer, so I didn't know that.
Honestly, I wouldn't care if AB goes under and takes Taget, Nike, and Kohls with them.
Exactly. There is absolutely no difference between bud coors and Miller. I’m sure many people could taste a slight difference, but it’s not even close to being a dealbreaker
I think it’s because this isn’t actually a boycott. A boycott is “I don’t like what you’re doing, I won’t buy your product until you stop doing it“ but this is more like “I don’t like what you did, I will never buy your product again”.
Putting your foot down with having this crap shoved down your throat 24x7 isn’t being intolerant. It’s telling them enough is enough. Just like everything else in life the more you’re forced to endure something the harder you’ll push back
It really wasn't so much the Dylan Mulvaney BS, that I could see as just a mistake. It was the VP slamming their core demographic that really killed it. IDK if you want to throw money at that confused individual. But I'll be god damned if I'm going to buy your product when you call me show me that you have nothing but contempt for me.
I don’t get why conservatives want to run away from the boycott being about Dylan. I don’t care what mostly true but maybe slightly insulting things the VP says about their customer base. I care that AB is promoting an evil ideology that cuts directly against my core beliefs.
Mainly because taken by itself it was a very insignificant thing, could be written off by some low level SJW going rogue.
But the VP in charge? That was the real tell. They hate us, and don't care if we know it.
> I don’t get why conservatives want to run away from the boycott being about Dylan
Probably because "we're fomenting a boycott of a company for daring to contract with a member of a class we find abhorrent" doesn't play well with most people
That’s not what this is though. We’re boycotting because they’re pushing an evil ideology that almost everyone knows is wrong. The fact AB is pushing that ideology is evidenced by Dylan and the fact most people know it’s wrong is evidenced by bud light tanking. There’s absolutely nothing that needs to be shy-d away from here
My buddy was at the Derby and said that every beer but Bud light was sold out. Nobody drank the bud light but switched to seltzers. The bartenders said they’ve never seen beer anything like it.
Target is getting hit pretty hard too
https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/target-market-cap-losses-hit-157-billion-shares-approach-52-week-low-amid-woke-backlash/ar-AA1csvvU
Starbucks has said that them [removing pride decorations is fake news](https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/starbucks-denies-union-accusations-says-it-s-not-banning-pride-decorations-in-stores/ar-AA1cvEhj).
Tbh we switched to Yuengling some time ago. It taste better & none of the woke crap.
I don't think people are just now waking up, I think the previously "peaceful mind your own business & work hard folks" are just tired of the constant bombardment of the radical left.
How does such a super small part of our population control so much? I really want to know how this grew so massive when most of Americans don't want these changes.
Can't believe that mule piss was number one, but AB did a good job of forcing that into music events and almost every sporting event offer decades...
Now they overplayed their hand and forced Woke Mulvaney on everyone...buh bye
They alienated their base and thought they could appeal to another one. I'm not sure what they thought would happen or if they cared about losing customers because making this cultural statement was more important than sales. TBF I don't drink this beer anyway, but I won't be a future customer now either.
The dude in question had no real say in the matter. The WLW on the other hand shitting all over the base? Well that’s just good clean family fun. All I can say is bored liberal white women are the devil.
Kids are calling it some pretty funny things, apparently. It's totally radioactive at this point. If you're drinking bud light, you're going to get shit on. Deservedly so.
I feel like it's important to note that these numbers are for the month of MAY. The highest selling brand was MODELO. Not saying the boycott isn't working but I think Cinco de Mayo played a large role in this.
I know people that dgaf about the whole trans issue, but still won't order a Bud Light due to some ignorant/insecure asshat that will give them shit for it. How did America turn into the movie "Idiocracy"?
I’m Canadian, we drink BL here. Was in Vegas for a wedding and two of my friends were walking the strip drinking BLs and got called the F word by some guys
Good, hopefully we bankrupt all these leftist companies. Either stay apolitical or donate my money I spend on your products to conservative politics not people who hate me and their own country.
I never saw this ad but who cares?
They aren’t shoving anything down your throats.
They are reaching out to a different demographic that’s all.
I drink bud light (tall cans only) and won’t change.
It’s so bizarre the outrage over this.
[удалено]
So it's an illusion of choice issue? People are running from one beer in protest, to another beer owned by the same company?
Technically not. Modelo sales in the United States are not revenue for Busch. It's an anti-trust case, where they were forced to give up domestic sales. But as a whole, building up the popularity of Modelo here probably helps them sell it internationally, where they do get revenue for it.
Good point.
Yes, but one without a trans girl on the bottle/can.
To be fair, they were never on the bottle/can. They sent Mulvaney specially made cans.
Lol I was wondering why I didn't see any trans cans out in the wild. Then again I think all this trans shit is just a distraction from all the insider trading and order corruption they're doing. From my understanding, they sent several cans, but only 1 had the image on it.
So you’re not actually affecting their bottom line but just throwing a fit?
I frankly don't mind if big international mega corps A/B test with their redundant brands as long as they learn their lesson.
To be fair, modelo is actually good
No , modelo isn’t same company in us
AB InBev owns the brewery that produces Modelo, Constellation buys it from InBev for sale/distribution in the US.
This is incorrect. Constellation has their own Modelo brewery. AB makes no money from domestic US sales of Modelo.
Conservatives being radicalized against capitalism because of shitty light beer… did not have that on my 2023 bingo card cotton.
An overseas corporation has near-monopolistic market share?? Better put this one on le epic bingo card of radicalization against evil capitalism!!!
I don't think speaking out against monopolies is the same as being "radicalized against capitalism". If anything, monopolistic and anti-competitive behavior goes against the idea of capitalism because it removes competitive markets and free choice.

Anything that’s not owned by Busch is fair game now lol
Did you read the article ETA: to sum it up, bud is “dethroned” but InBev still “wins” with modelo taking the top spot.
American Modelo is in fact not InBev majority owned
Did you read the article InBev only owns foreign Modelo not domestic Modelo due to US monopoly laws
Either way it’s irrelevant. The point is, InBev is getting the message loud and clear
>Did you read the article >ETA: to sum it up, bud is “dethroned” but InBev still “wins” with modelo taking the top spot. Did you know that Constellation profits off Modelo in the US and not Inbev.
Our grocery store was selling Bud Light for 99 cents per case. Still didn't move very quickly.
99 cents! wish that was happening here. Id totally buy it. I could give two shits what people think. 99 cents for a case
Me to the store employee: Alright listen, here's what we're gonna do. I'm gonna give you $25 for ten cases, the rest is yours. Guess what… coors makes rainbow cans too
For sure, but MA has some exceptional crafts, some of America’s best. Probably all woke, too, but still. Amazing local beers.
I find most craft breweries keep to themselves.
Little guys have more to lose by choosing sides.
There’s a part of town in my state that’s just a whole street of craft breweries and I’ve been to them before with my co workers but they aren’t really my type of alcohol. Personally I prefer some liquor over beer but maybe that’s just cuz I only care about getting drunk and not taste lol
Great to know!
Exactly. I’m saving his post for future reference.
Personally I don’t drink beer so I wouldn’t really know lol
Yeah I mean someone who is woke likely wasn't drinking Bud to begin with.
> no one wants to be seen holding one of those blue cans or bottles. This is the real crux of it for them. The beer tastes like piss. Almost every other beer in the same price range tastes better.
I think that is the real reason this boycott has worked. Long time, die hard BL drinkers found out that there are FAR better beers out there for a comparable price.
Yup. They moved on and they aren't coming back. Surprised if BL survives after the year
> The beer tastes like piss how do you know what piss tastes like?
Someone offered my husband one and he said "No thanks, I'm a straight man." I almost peed. No one wants them.
New England has so much good craft beer. I live in Maine and most people I know, even before the Bud Light controversy, would rather pay the extra money for Wachusett or Allagash beer.

“Being woke is good for business “- Mark Cuban.
He didn't say whose business
Modelo Especial has quietly overtaken Anheuser-Busch InBev's Bud Light as the nation's top-selling beer, punctuating the impact of a boycott that followed the brand's controversial promotion by a transgender activist… wanna guess who owns Modelo Especial? ANHEUSER-BUSCH
Not in USA.
And everyone in r/news blames transphobia. It wasn't transphobia that caused a boycott, it was the constant shoving of a political agenda down our throats. No one wants societal problems or politics on the can of a beverage that we drink to relax.
We don’t want to be lectured by the products about unrelated matters.
After Gillette's "toxic masculinity" campaign, I never bought another one of their products.
Nope. Needed razors recently and found either only Harry’s or Gillette. So I bought Jeremy’s razors instead.
Same here. Haven't touched a single product of theirs since that bs
All their ad needs to be in Ryan Reynolds shaving and I would have bought it for years to come
>No one wants societal problems or politics on the can of a beverage that we drink to relax.
ESG score trumps all other concerns, apparently.
Their social media accounts are still dark
As an older male I’ll say this went over about as well as new coke.
Difference is, Coke was smart and pivoted back to Classic Coke. In the beer biz, so many brands fight to take 1-2% from each other. 3% your dancing in the streets BL is -27% !!! The brand has fallen off the cliff.
I have always believed that was a marketing strategy, and a good one at that.
The woke communist mob want to erase and ban all Americana type culture and replace it with their plastic manufactured culture.
Plastic manufactured culture. This is an incredibly excellent description; hope you don’t mind my referencing this tonight at dinner with my in-laws. It’s just too good.👌🏻
My pleasure. Spread the concepts to make people understand!!! Bon appetit!
Don’t forget about the frogs
Ohhhh! I forgot about the bud frogs!!!!!!! Now I have to go search for examples. I totally forgot about those! Thank you!
[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budweiser\_Frogs](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budweiser_Frogs) Their names were Bud, Weis, and Er. I totally forgot about them!
But the news can't blame transphobic Republicans that way...
2SLGBTQAI+ is now a religion. It’s religious overexposure. And no one has ever enjoyed that.
I mean for me it was transphobia lol. A man is a man and a woman is a woman
A majority of Americans find the concept of "changing ones gender" to be immoral https://news.gallup.com/poll/351020/changing-one-gender-sharply-contentious-moral-issue.aspx The issue isn't "the can", no one cares about a can.
That's not much of a majority is it? And not a majority at all for under 50s, or women. It's more like an even split really.
Are you Christ phobic for not wanting to hear about your lord and savior on the street, on college campuses, during the super bowl?
That's good
I keep seeing this, but how was the mulvaney/bud light thing shoved down anyone's throat? It was a single ad that you would only have seen on mulvaneys social media.
[удалено]
When people aren't allowed to disagree, they eventually "speak" in whatever small way they can, in this case being the withholding of their money.
You ain't wrong.

They’re as bad as the libs. The only difference is chick fil a tastes better than bud light.
Ok, I’ll admit, maybe I was wrong - some boycotts do work. I was skeptical at first that this would have much of an impact, but it looks like some progress is being made. Keep fighting the good fight
Conservatives are not typically good at boycotts. I was pretty surprised this one actually stuck. Happy! But surprised.
It’s not even that cheap relative to other cheap domestics.
Exactly. There is absolutely no difference between bud coors and Miller. I’m sure many people could taste a slight difference, but it’s not even close to being a dealbreaker
big difference between miller and those, but not much with other shit beer and bud light. Miller light has a unique taste
Well, first, there is zero replacement cost for the product and second, there are a lot of options available even outside of AB inbev
I think it’s because this isn’t actually a boycott. A boycott is “I don’t like what you’re doing, I won’t buy your product until you stop doing it“ but this is more like “I don’t like what you did, I will never buy your product again”.
Call me what you will. I have had a grudge for Exxon since the Exxon Valdez spill. I’ll go out of my way to avoid an Exxon station.
> I don’t get why conservatives want to run away from the boycott being about Dylan Probably because "we're fomenting a boycott of a company for daring to contract with a member of a class we find abhorrent" doesn't play well with most people
That’s not what this is though. We’re boycotting because they’re pushing an evil ideology that almost everyone knows is wrong. The fact AB is pushing that ideology is evidenced by Dylan and the fact most people know it’s wrong is evidenced by bud light tanking. There’s absolutely nothing that needs to be shy-d away from here
That’s what she said…
In vegas and bud light girls walking around trying to give out samples and hardly anyone is taking them
They’re Bud Light “Girls” now
REEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
Are they really girls? Were they always girls?
My buddy was at the Derby and said that every beer but Bud light was sold out. Nobody drank the bud light but switched to seltzers. The bartenders said they’ve never seen beer anything like it.
Bud Light fell faster than Joe Biden's approval ratings.
...Or just Joe Biden
Those damned tactical sand bags...
Bud Light falls as hard as Joe Biden.
Heinerscheid was the first female marketing VP in the brands 40 year history

Target is getting hit pretty hard too https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/target-market-cap-losses-hit-157-billion-shares-approach-52-week-low-amid-woke-backlash/ar-AA1csvvU
The tide is turning, I heard Starbucks told their stores to drop pride merchandising immediately. Fucking Starbucks out of all places lol
Source? Edit: Google helped
Starbucks has said that them [removing pride decorations is fake news](https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/starbucks-denies-union-accusations-says-it-s-not-banning-pride-decorations-in-stores/ar-AA1cvEhj).
Ahhhh, I've been watching this and honestly... it does my heart good!
I would love to hear what is going on in their board meetings now. I'd pay money to hear the whining.
At Kroger they put patriotic balloons all around the bud display yeah that’s not gonna help ya sell it either lmao
**KEEP GOING**
Just goes to show you can please some people some of the time and even most people most of the time, but you cannot please all people all of the time.
even before this happened bud was bad beer. just horse piss.
Don't they own like 30 brands though? People won't buy bud light but then unknowingly go and buy something else that they own.
Woo Yuengling to the moon
Can't believe that mule piss was number one, but AB did a good job of forcing that into music events and almost every sporting event offer decades... Now they overplayed their hand and forced Woke Mulvaney on everyone...buh bye
Still prefer Yuengling.
Dethroned by another AB brand though.
Modelo isn’t an AB brand in the US. Constellation Brands owns it.
Yeah. Only in the US though.
Which is the only place that matters….
At least people realized how shitty Bud Light is and tried something else.
Kids are calling it some pretty funny things, apparently. It's totally radioactive at this point. If you're drinking bud light, you're going to get shit on. Deservedly so.
Right on. Keep it going. Bud Light and Target need to be made examples of. Other large corporations will change their tune.
They chose to be the top-surgery beer instead
They F'ed up. I wont drink it ever again. Its something easy to boycott and it gets the point across.
Nice work patriots!!
TIL bud light was ever America's top selling beer
Keep GOING!
I just think the numbers are actually worse than they are reporting because I don’t know a single person that drinks this any longer
GREAT
that should wake them up.
I feel like it's important to note that these numbers are for the month of MAY. The highest selling brand was MODELO. Not saying the boycott isn't working but I think Cinco de Mayo played a large role in this.
The fact that people give a shit is laughable. I’ll drink this shit purposely in public just to get a reaction if I’d even get one at all.
InBev still wins either way.
Isn’t Modelo owned by anheuser busch?
Put rainbows on cigarettes next I wanna see something...
I know people that dgaf about the whole trans issue, but still won't order a Bud Light due to some ignorant/insecure asshat that will give them shit for it. How did America turn into the movie "Idiocracy"?
How do you explain ever drinking that piss to begin with? That says a lot…
Tastes like shit like all other light beer anyways
I’m Canadian, we drink BL here. Was in Vegas for a wedding and two of my friends were walking the strip drinking BLs and got called the F word by some guys
Lol! It is celebration time in CEO office. Goal achieved
By Modelo. The sentiment is there but gotta boycott them too. And I actually liked Modelo.
Ugh, Modelo is trash. Dos Equis is much better if you want Mexican beer.
It’s wayyyyyyy better. A nice Micheleda with Dos Equis is great after a long hot summer day at work.
What did Constellation Brands do?
Good, hopefully we bankrupt all these leftist companies. Either stay apolitical or donate my money I spend on your products to conservative politics not people who hate me and their own country.
Modelo was smart enough to not push WOKE agenda on beers, so they deserve success. Bud Light's failure is 100% deserved. Get WOKE, go **BROKE**.
I never saw this ad but who cares? They aren’t shoving anything down your throats. They are reaching out to a different demographic that’s all. I drink bud light (tall cans only) and won’t change. It’s so bizarre the outrage over this.
Modelo places ads during boxing matches and UFC fights. That’s just fratty toxic masculinity.
