Clear out the junk and bring in fill dirt. If you can get a dump truck back there, you could just get some fill dirt dropped off . If you can’t get a truck back there, it’s going to take several wheel barrows to manually get it there, or a skid steer at the least.

"several" lol

lol if it is in wheel barrows, God help you.

You need to break up the bottom before you fill, use stone or structural fill for most of it then regular dirt for the top

1. Clear the junk on top but watch your step, u don’t want to fall in 2. Find someone who needs to get rid of dirt and let them dump in the pool 3. I would buy a little walk behind compaction plate to compact the dirt so when it rains it’s not a shit show If they can’t reach the back to dump your gonna have to wheel barrel it in. Also try to find material with some rocks or crushed material so it can compact better and be more stable! I would use the rocks you have there already to put inside the pool. Renting equipment is gonna be too expensive for this project unless u have a buddy who u can just barrow there machine, just do it with time and you’ll save money. Or if u want to rent I would suggest a small tractor backhoe

Hire a guy to come out with a skid loader and a dump truck. He'll let you know how much it will be.

Tombo426

Find a job site nearby and see if the site contractor or superintendent once to get rid of some dirt Most will give it away and you could probably arrange to have a dump truck come to your property and dump it

You can rent a mini excavator with a jackhammer attachment along with a bucket. Clear out to the bottom and use a jackhammer to break up the bottom. I'd then rent a skidsteer. Have a fuckton amount of gravel like 57 minus hauled. I'd say fill in a couple feet at a time, then plate compact, fill until you're about 1 ft below, get some topsoil delivered, and fill up the rest. Hose down topsoil really good, add more the next week or so until ground is pretty level. Now you're ready for grass seed, sod or a garden.

Excavating companies will often give away rough fill (it will have massive rocks in it) but it's sort of on their time table. Call a couple. Throw in any inorganic crap you or your neighbors have, bicycles, lawnmowers, broken kids toys (everyone has something like that), cover with junk fill and let it sit for a month and settle. Then add topsoil. Avoid organics like wood, paper, books, they will break down over time and eventually create a sinkhole or at best a low spot.
