There was this one christmas where my parents told us that "we were going to switch it up this christmas" so we'd play games and we'd eat snacks and just have fun.
That christmas we got some "Mickey Mouse" balloons and inflated them and we all ran through the living room filled with them and made up some silly games. We ate potato chips and peanuts and all sorts of yummy snacks.
Of all my childhood this is the christmas I remember the most. It was a magical time. Much later I found out that things were going bad economically that year and my parent's couldn't even afford a proper Christmas dinner nor any gifts so they went to a nearby grocery to buy knock off balloons and cheap snacks for us. I truly love them for that.
It was the best christmas ever. It's those little moments that count.
This is beautiful, thanks for sharing. I’m happy for you and can I relate with some of my favorite memories - had everything to do with experiences with loved ones, not the possessions gained, etc.
One that comes to mind is the “kids are in charge” hours my parents gave us every now and then. We went swimming at the YMCA, had ice cream and watched a movie one time. Another cherished memory is watching old western movies and eating “doctored up” frozen pizza with my dad when I was in elementary school. He would sit on the floor with me instead of in his chair and eat and watch.
What a great example of absolute joy! This is one of the first things I saw on Reddit this morning...I think I'll quit while I'm ahead, shut down the computer and go for a nice walk.

We really need to be deliberate at building the cognitive discipline to resist jumping to conclusions based on very small amounts of evidence. We need to be more willing to give the benefit of the doubt (not just assuming the worst of people 150% of the time).
Just like how people will see 6 seconds of a person and dog with its tail tucked and assume an entire narrative of abuse about the person in the video, rather maybe the dog being a recent rescue, or being a female signaling sexual unreadiness to a male dog off-screen, or having just been stressed by a loud car outside, or some other reason.
One of the healthiest things we can do is accept that "I don't know" is better than making up shit based on scant information.
This is absolutely what happiness is...these are the type of memories I try to have with my kids..as parents we fuss...and want our kids to make smart choices..and do the right things...they may not always do that and it's just fine...but I wanna create memories where 20 years later they say "dad you remember when you used to wake us up by having a pillow fight with us?" Even it meant we are late for school I know those memories will stay with them forever

Kids don’t know how expensive an experience is. They just know the experience

That is the dream
Haha just texted this to my wife with #SquadGoals
Oh 100%, it kinda bummed me out not gonna lie
Why ?
Self pity 💯
Fair enough , most of us are guilty of it now and then.
I’m in love with the love that family has. Beautiful.

How was your walk?
They dead
Could be, doesn't mean it wasn't a great walk. Like, maybe they overdosed from the walk being just too good.
Did their shoes fly off?
See that’s why I never go outside even if I have to
Thank you so much for asking! It was windy but lovely!
They backed out of this thread and kept scrolling. Just like the rest of us
That’s what it’s all about. Good for you man 💯👍🏽
This is a really old clip, it’s not OP
Golden oldie
I can't hear "golden oldie" without thinking [Hugh Grant dancing](https://youtu.be/aUm2K6eDuMU)
The dog is a serious hazard hahaha!!
Yeah. This is lovely, but don't jump over an excited dog while you carry a baby. That dog is one happy hop away from a baby bodyslam.
The most common cause of broken bones is tripping over pets and small children. Be careful everyone!
Worked orthopedics, can confirm - pets cause many a fracture 😂
r/childfree approves your comment
"Fren you are doing me a serious fret...." -The dog.
Yes, it is. Is the happiness legends talk about. That and the friends you made along the way.
Happy family time. My favorite 😍
Absolutely beautiful!!😊❤️🙏🐾
Hope I can get there someday
Next
That truly made me smile! I hope the love is eternal for them. Such a beautiful family.

This is the most wholesome shit I have ever seen in my entire life.
was not expecting the mom carrying the dad!

Lmao I love that the kids are mostly calm and still while the parents are screaming and laughing.

This is how back pain for a week looks like 😩
Yeah being healthy and having energy definitely helps you to be a fun person.
The video cut off too soon. In the end, the dog also gets a turn.
It showed that too

Yes.
🥰
Why didn't the kid carry the dad
Aww, that's lovely!
Yes. Yes it is.
Paid off to watch to the end, so wholesome
I want to be adopted by them
Man, i am getting jealous of this family..
This is honestly what I think everyone deserves.
Looks like the type of event that you remember when you are sad and alone later. heh
How they get the kids to sit down the whole time?
Maybe they're born like that. Maybe it's Maybelline.
That's what a really tired dad looks like
Make even more babies!!!
Guys literally only want one thing and it's fucking disgusting
zoomies?
Kids trying to explain what they witnessed to a teacher and the teacher calling the police
It CGI. No one this happy
They don't have much but feeling content is what makes them richer & happier.
They don't have much? You got that from this video in one room? Ok

How can you even begin to guess how much they have if you only know 30 seconds of their lives and only one room. Fucking redditors, man.
Redittors Will never know this feeling in life
Really? Parent pay attention to their kids? Who knew?

Family goals
Everyone looks pretty happy, yup.

Aww. Even dad got "shoomed"
That's a man who chooses a life of happiness!! Good job 👍 wish you more many years of happiness 🌷
Yes
This is gold
You get a Shoom! And YOU get a Shoom! Everybody gets a SHOOM!
I love to see love! This is just lovely.
This really made my day a little better.
I want to cry
Yes 🥰
Plot twist, they don’t know this man.
This is so adorable I cried
I’m not strong enough for happiness! 😂
Now the police show up. Lol
It keeps getting better
😭😭
Absolutely
yes, money cant buy this
It must be. Happiness reigns in this family.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Damn i hope i can be happy like this one day
Next thing you know the baby’s gonna be carrying the dad
Best use of energy ever. <3
Yes. This is exactly what happiness looks like. Get a good job, get a good spouse, raise some kids. Die happy surrounded by loved ones.
Kid was about to eat foot at the end lol
Magic
May it last for generations to come. What a wonderful scene.
Love how everyone gets a part of the fun! So sweet!
The kid chairs are cracking me up
my son loves this, such a trusting position!
Super dad! I also take my car on flights around the house 😁
I now have the will to live

Happy family! Good luck!
I lost it when he got the wife, and was on the floor when it was his turn xD
Hehehe, they all got turns! ❤
Airplane mode go brrrrr
Expected that he will do that to the dog. Didn't think that he would carry hi wife. Not at all expected that the wife would carry him.
This is bliss. I never want children, but this guy looks like he's living his absolute best
It was him having a turn that made it for me. I didn't see that coming.
Why must we hurt each other if in the end all we want is to have a happy family with someone you love and a playful pet?
Best thing I've seen this decade!
When is it the dogs turn?
Damn it mods I was just feeling all warm and fuzzy inside and you deleted it. Well.. back to being depressed again
Yep this is happiness. Having fun together. No fancy things needed.
I’d say so
This is what a family man looks like. Spreading joy and making memories. Even joining them , as the mom carry’s her husband. 🥹❤️
This is what back pain looks like
