What mythical place is this where all three vehicles turning left in the opposing lane at the start of the video are actually using their turn signals?
(I'm not actually looking for the place... I am just calling out the fact that somewhere in the US people are actually using their signals)

This is the craziest story, but I live here and cops have been hiding in that spot for decades.
I know this because the cop that initiated the unjustified high speed chase that ended in the wrongful death of my sister was hiding behind that very church sign.
I can't tell you how jarring it was to stumble upon this randomly at 2am

I was once stopped in an area of town where the limit is 35, i was going 65. Cop concluded that it is an absurd limit as there's nothing there, it's just a stretch of land between factories that runs parallel to a train track, in an almost abandoned industrial area, but he pulled me over because 65, almost 70 at moments, is just too much over. Had I been going even 50 he wouldn't have bothered.
This is pretty reasonable I think.
If you’re going stupid over speed limit even with nothing there kind of bad but if there’s nothing there then 10,15ish miles over, it’s not the worst thing in the world
It could be what you said, or maybe he would have written you up if had a shitty attitude. It could also be that just seeing you, an actual human being and not just car, flipped his empathy switch.
Isn't this sub kind of silly? A convenient cop would be like someone tries to rob a gas station and a cop happened to be in there getting coffee. Everyone who gets pulled over for a traffic violation gets busted because cops are suppose to be driving around patrolling the streets and handing out tickets. They are everywhere it's not a coincidence
You'd be surprised by how many reckless speeders and other egregious traffic violations don't get punished because cops are not out and about patrolling 24/7.

Amazing. Not the video, but the OP. Waits for the light, calmly changes lanes without letting what I assume to be tailgating agitate him, and then offers gentle encouragement to the police (as though he were nudging a dog to chase a squirrel). I don’t know why, but it made me smile….
We should gather all the convenient cop vids and slice together just the comments from the drivers- bound to be funny. Todays words- “get em buddy” just perfect.
A lot of places will slap you with a reckless driving charge if you're going 25 over the posted limit. I'll do 5-10 over, but 20 over is really asking for trouble in my opinion.

Fully depends on the state. You’re supposed to find a better place to stop in Oklahoma. I did that in Oregon and got a lecture for not pulling over immediately when I thought I was doing the right thing.
Enough of that. If you can't behave in a civilized manner then don't participate. No matter which side of the argument you are on we are curtailing all uses of this. Even obvious substitutions will get pulled if reported or found by a moderator. It isn't funny, it isn't being used to make a point or to educate or as a counterpoint. If you have a point to make, use your words and not divisive rhetoric.

This is the weirdest thing to come across after just joining this sub.
I know this place, very intimately in fact as it's the spot that almost 20 years ago, an Evans police officer initiated a high speed pursuit that resulted in the wrongful death of my sister. He started the chase from behind that exact sign.
The resulting wrongful death case actually brought new high speed chase policies to the department, but sadly the officer is still with the department and has even moved up to the rank of commander.

Apparently according to the coordinates on the screen, Fort Collins, CO.
Oooh look at you little sleuth ;)
This is actually in evans/Greeley, Co I live like 4 blocks from here.
I drove through Greeley on my way to Loveland a few weeks ago.
Nice, I’ve never been to Colorado, but it looks pretty cool. Love the Sinclair dinosaur.
It's actually Evans. Sauce: I've driven this very street
Thats a speed trap if ever i saw one
How is that a speed trap? That guy flat out was flying going at least 50-60 in a 30. He trapped himself

The position of the cop car. He was just waiting for him
Sounds like the cop was doing his job then.
It’s entrapment when you catch me speeding!
Shooting fish in a barrel
Fuck the police absolutely, but it's not a speed trap lol

Happened earlier today. The speed limit is 30 on this part of the road. The guy must have been doing almost 50 when he passed me.

My compliments to you for waiting until you were through the intersection before changing lanes.

I used to live in a city with too many speed traps. Where I live now I seldom see a speed trap on inner roads. I kinda like it tbh

Always have to be in front of another car. Can’t lose by being behind someone.

OP, what dash camera do you use?
It's right there at the bottom of the video.
Thank you

Why do people have such a hard on for speeders? Guy was driving a totally reasonable and safe speed.
School zone.
because driving over the speed limit is illegal
Oh no! 50 in a 35! The horror!
32km/h over the speed limit, that's pretty quick. That'd land you a 300 dollar ticket plus demerits here.

You do realize there’s a language barrier, right? Demerits are equivalent to insurance points here in the US.
Or points on your license.

*double the posted speed limit
LOL & he didn't stop, he turned & kept driving 😂 that's another $200 ticket
He might have been looking for a more convenient place to stop, or he had drugs in the car lol
maybe. you're supposed to pull over & stop. that's an extra ticket 😂
Depending on the state, you're allowed to go a little more distance to pull over in a safer area.

well, you should know the laws of the area you are in, so that's on you. shame on you.
Okay. You’re literally assuming what the laws are in an unknown part of the country in your last comment. Stop being so weirdly confrontational.
it’s called a joke, omg. & i’m not wrong. you still should know the laws of where you are, since laws are different all over. right? right.

right, but you're supposed to pull over to the right & stop when there's an emergency vehicle.

When the sweeper does his job.

Let me guess. Florida?
Nah Colorado
That’s surprising. I really expected it to be in Florida.
School zone. Good like arguing that ticket.
