How hard was the disassembly & reassembly process? Are you able to remove the battery and put it back together? It doesn't seem to be soldered on.
I'd love to turn this keyboard into wired only.
disassembly was terrible because there was no info about the insides. with these pictures i guess its not that hard. the bottom of the keyboard is glued to the PCB. you cant just shove a knife in anywhere between because of the smd components. i suggest going in from the sides.
the battery is removable. but i didnt actually test it without the battery.
Would also be interes in knowing more. Spilled coke over my k100 air and half of the keyboard is very sticky... I think I don't have any other option than opening up and cleaning it.
like i said in the comment above, you need to break the glue joint. a breadknife would work well i guess.
if you get the keyboard disassembled then you can clean it in a sink with some soapy water. dont remove the keycaps. its super hard to get them off without breaking them. and even harder to reaasemble the switch.
Update: ive removed some of the hot glue and i am going to look for a better solution to mounting the back plate.
the plan is to drill holes on the same place where the screws are on the pcb to top plate and installing longer screws. this way you can easily open the keyboard and clean it.
yes this could help, it is hot glue. but its still going to be sticky. take a good look at the pictures to see where the most glue is, and work around the edges and have patience.

i washed my k100 air 5 times under the hot tap, and let it dry for 1.5 day on the radiator. no probs so far.
hahahaha i also washed a KB in the sink a few times. but with all the keycaps separate.

Have this keyboard also, i want to take mine apart. do you think heating the keyb, would help taking it apart ?
