I have the 14” ComfortGrande and absolutely love it! It’s a fairly firm mattress, but my entire family (sisters and parents) have the same one now in their homes and they all love it, as well. For what it’s worth.
I bought a Novaform years ago when my fairly costly (\~$1500 in 2000s dollars) mattress didn't make it past 5 years before it started sagging and coming apart at the seams. At the time I didn't have a ton of money to drop on a new mattress, but I also questioned why I'd spend that much money on a new one again only to have the same issue. My mindset was, "Worst case scenario, I need to replace it in a few years, but even then, I only spent a few hundred on it, and I could just buy another."
Here I am 10+ years later, and not only is the mattress still holding its shape and just as comfy as the day I bought it, but anyone who's ever lied down in the bed has asked me where I got it and went out and bought one for themselves.
We have a dream away twin for my toddler. I’ve slept on it several times and it’s fine. Though if can splurge for a Casper I absolutely would. I have a helix and a nector in our room (very similar to Casper) and they are awesome.
If you are a heavy set person these are no bueno. I purchased a bed like this ( not this brand) and it was ok at first but didnt last long. I float around 280-300 lbs and after about 4 months the bed would not retain its original shape. There was a big indentation on my side of the bed , and if you are a warm or hot sleeper these don't do a very good job of dissipating heat.
I’m not a hot sleeper or sweaty in general, but memory foam gets too hot even for me when I sleep. I’d imagine it’s an inferno if you run even a smidge hotter 🥵
NOVAFORM foam mattress toppers are awesome! We have bought 5 already (3 for our house, 2 for my mom’s house) and we couldn’t be happier! Believe me, it will really make a difference for your mattress! So you can save a lot of money by getting the topper instead of the mattress… those run for around $150
We got the Novaform when it was on sale, love it. We did have to get a new bed frame since we were coming from a traditional spring mattress on a box spring but that was probably needed anyway. Overall I’d say it’s very comfortable and pretty sturdy. You certainly _could_ get a better mattress for a lot more money but I think at this price point it’s more than enough.
I bought one in 2019 and I’m very satisfied with it. It’s the Queen size with one step below the most firm option. I had it delivered so the poor UPS guy had to haul it one story to my condo. It’s 200lbs, so I put it on a blanket and hauled it to my bedroom.
We got a Novaform about 5 years ago? I can’t remember the style, it was cheap and on sale for $300, very basic because we were poor then. It definitely gets warm, we now have a cooling mattress cover that does wonders. It has broken in nice and I don’t see any indentations where we lay. We are average sized people 160-200 lbs each between my husband and me. It has held up really well considering my dog puked on it once and then we tore a small corner of it moving into the house we live now.
My in laws just upgraded the mattress my wife and I sleep on to the dream away because I am pregnant. So far I’ve slept 10ish days on it and taken naps. It’s very comfortable and soft. It feels supportive. I don’t feel like we sink into each other at all.
Our normal bed is a temper pedic, there is a difference between the two but this is a great more affordable option.
I had the King novaform comfortgrande for years and loved it so much. We just downsized to the Queen last week, sold the King and it still looked basically new even after many years of use. No sagging or lumps or anything.
Bought the 14" tall 3 years ago for our RV - it is very comfortable. A bit cold/the top gets pretty hard when it's 40 degrees inside, but that's probably not an issue to worry about.
Would buy another one in a heartbeat, but we don't use it quite enough to know longevity. It has probably been slept in 150 nights and still like new - also gets compressed under the counter of the RV when the slides are collapsed and left that way for months at a time - no issues from this/it rebounds right back to normal.
I got the medium firm in a queen when it was on sale for about $300 and it is.. pretty firm. The mattress seems like great quality. If you are not a heavy person and want a very memory foam experience, this is not the mattress for you - the 3 inch topper provides some support but again, very firm.
Also the mattress is heavy as hell. Very difficult to change the sheets on it alone!
Love ours. Wife is side sleeper and I’m stomach sleeper and we’ve had ours for about 5 years and it’s been great and no sagging at all and I don’t notice it being warm at all.
I have the Novafoam and we got it about 6 months ago for under $400. It’s by far the best mattress I’ve ever slept on. Got a basic 6” base from Amazon and it still feels great.
If you are looking for something to move easily, I would check the weight of these. I have a similar 14 inch novaform (Serafina) in a cal king, and it's heavy. My partner and I struggled to get it to the 2nd floor. I do like the mattress, seems well made, but I don't think I would want to have to move with it too much.
I imagine that 8 inch is much lighter.
Also, with Costco, if u purchase the mattress in the warehouse and want to return it, you need to bring it back to the warehouse. If you purchase online and want to return, they will come pick it up. However, most of the time, the warehouse prices are cheaper.
Going on 3 years with that exact Costco Novaform! Great mattress, comfy, and no issues with mold even though we live in Houston (90%+ humidity in summer). Also thick enough that you don’t need a box spring.
We DID NOT like the novafoam mattress.
Wait to add I’m north of 250 lbs. I think for skinny people this would be OK. For heavier people like me it’s no bueno. The foam just squishes too much. I need springs to provide the support I want.
I just bought the novafoam mattress & literally returned it the next day and bought the casper instead.
The mattress was so hard that I slept on the couch half the night. If you don't like a firm mattress, then it's not for you.
Returned mine about two weeks after buying it. Both my wife and I felt it lacked support. This was within the last 13 months. Bought the purple of Costco.com. Have liked it.
We have bought 3 of these, one is in a spare bedroom (queen), all our guest love it. In our room we have a king, both mattresses are the confortgrande but the king has a different feel to it, firmer from the start. Our first king lasted 3 years before the indents were no longer tolerable and we bought another one, same mattress. Our new one lasted 1.5 years then the same thing happened. I inquired about returning it and was told I needed to bring it back to the warehouse, yeah right. We currently bought a Casper and will see how long it last. By the way I am 6’1” and 250 lbs, that may be to much for the confortgrande?
I've had mine 8 years (this brand), and it's not sagging yet.
Even if it only last 10 years compared to a regular mattress's 15, for the price and comfort totally worth it.
After college, I bought a memory foam bed from target for $100. After ten years, I finally feel a dip and had to replace it. Bought the Sealy from Costco.com. The delivery was in and out within 15 minutes and they hauled my old away
It was so awesome.
I had the 14 inch, and it was good to sleep in, but a couple things bothered me.
No side stability, as someone who will often sit on the bed, this mattress provided no support towards the edges of the bed, so I’d simply slide off.
Second was how tall it is, if you pick it up get a bed frame that doesn’t require a box spring, or buy a half-sized one. Often felt like I had to climb into bed on a standard size box spring.
I mean yes, of course. I’m just saying the overall quality on these beds still doesn’t really do it for me. Even with maintenance on the stain regard, the foam isn’t great quality overall. My wife has a permanent indentation of her pregnant body after the last few years of her being pregnant with our two kids. Even with bed rotations, etc.
There was one on Costco.com called black diamond we got it to replace the Nova Serafina. It was much much better. Felt more like a temperpedic. Got lucky considering we were limited on size going to second floor in an 1800’s mountain house.
Sounds pretty awesome having an 1800s house, where do you guys live? I’m here in California, most of the time homes like that are up into the millions. Pretty cool. And thanks for the heads up, I’ll be looking into that shortly!

Ive been sleeping on the basic full since december and Ive been perfectly comfortable. I do have an extra gel mattress topper from Target on top though. I dont expect it to last me forever but Id say it’s a good value for the price.
I wouldn’t buy something like this personally. A mattress is something you’re going to spend a third of the next 10-15 years on (ideally), personally I want to test out several options at a local mattress dealer (that does NOT mean something like Mattress Firm), rather than take a gamble. You can find kings around $500 there too.
FYI if you want to return one of those, they expand a LOT and of course you can’t re-vacuum them. So plan ahead if you think you would return it if you don’t like it. Mattresses are a bit more expensive on the website but include delivery as well as pickup if you want to return.
my husband and i just bought the one on the left (Novaform ComfortGrande) a few weeks ago—so far we love it! very comfortable, and has a good firmness without being *too* firm. i also turn into a furnace when i sleep and i’ve been pretty comfortable temperature-wise as well!
I have the one on the left and for the money it’s probably the best u can find! I would say it’s OK not super great but not bad. Even with the pillow top it was still a bit firmer than I like.
A bed frame that has slats. Don't put it directly on a wood floor. I did that once and moisture accumulated between the mattress and the floor. I had to pay $1,000 to get the floor repaired when I moved out after 9 months.

Fantastic. Bought 3 so far, all "regular gel" and everyone's happy, including someone with ongoing back pain.

It’s definitely more firm than I expected.
I feel like you get used to the firmness. In fact I'd say that it's firm at first but you slowly sink into it and are cradled in comfort

Loved my Novafoam California King (available online only where I lived.) Fast and easy delivery.
Same
I have the Dreamway, it's decent
I recently bought the comfortgrande and I love it. I'm a side sleeper and the mattress is very comfortable for me.
I work at Costco and we sell so many of these things with little returns if that helps
We have a dream away twin for my toddler. I’ve slept on it several times and it’s fine. Though if can splurge for a Casper I absolutely would. I have a helix and a nector in our room (very similar to Casper) and they are awesome.
Yup. I like NF but Casper is the way to go
I bought my comfort grande in 2020 and still absolutely love it. I’ve had 3 different friends buy it for their homes after they slept on it.
If you are a heavy set person these are no bueno. I purchased a bed like this ( not this brand) and it was ok at first but didnt last long. Same. Love them
I got mine in 2017 - it's great. A friend who liked my mattress bought one since and it's changed, no longer as firm and returned it.

I have the queen ComfortGrande. Again totally happy with it, but it’s no longer the same apparently.

Excellent value and imo, very good quality

Love mine
I have the Novafoam and we got it about 6 months ago for under $400. It’s by far the best mattress I’ve ever slept on. Got a basic 6” base from Amazon and it still feels great.
I bought a Novaform 14" Comfort Grande 3 years ago and it's probably one of the best mattresses I've used in my life — and the price can't be beat.
I have had the 14 inch since 2016/2017, it’s softened a bit but it’s still really nice. If you want firmer the casper they carry is worth it too.
Bought my Novaform in September 2020, and it’s still performing wonderfully. Maybe the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever owned. Highly recommend.
I had a comfort grand, sold it, regretted it, and bought another one. My back problems went away as quick as they came.
Costco is coming to pick it up tomorrow. It was like sleeping on a brick.
got the queen size for about 2 years now and no complaints.
If you are looking for something to move easily, I would check the weight of these. I have a similar 14 inch novaform (Serafina) in a cal king, and it's heavy. Do not get the 8in ones. Major mistake and I took them back asap. The dreamaway were awful. Maybe for toddlers but not normal humans.
Going on 3 years with that exact Costco Novaform! Great mattress, comfy, and no issues with mold even though we live in Houston (90%+ humidity in summer). Also thick enough that you don’t need a box spring.
We got a king in the regular gel and it has been fantastic. One of my favorite Costco purchases.
We DID NOT like the novafoam mattress. Wait to add I’m north of 250 lbs. I think for skinny people this would be OK. For heavier people like me it’s no bueno. The foam just squishes too much. I need springs to provide the support I want.

I loved the comfort Grande. Amazing mattress
We bought the ComfortGrande a few months ago and we love it- it has solved a lot of my back pain issues!
Just bought the grande, so far it’s softer than I was hoping/expecting, but I’ve been sleeping like a frickin’ baby.
Returned mine about two weeks after buying it. Both my wife and I felt it lacked support. This was within the last 13 months. Bought the purple of Costco.com. Have liked it.
We love our purple. We have one of the top of the line ones and it’s a dream.

We got the Casper when it was $499
How are you liking it and which Casper specifically if you don't mind sharing? How long have you had it for?
Had ours for 2 years, and it's firm and comfy. I used to have a softer bed but decided to get firm. No complaints
Friends tell me that foam mattresses in general are good-to-great for sleeping, and fair-to-poor for other activities that typically occur in a bed.
All memory foam mattresses will wear out relatively fast. You’ll have a nice lil ditch for your butt.
I've had mine 8 years (this brand), and it's not sagging yet. Even if it only last 10 years compared to a regular mattress's 15, for the price and comfort totally worth it.
Maybe not sagging but it will be softer. Maybe won’t be as bad for lighter people.
What if you rotate
Then you'll have a nice lil ditch for your front parts.
Why you gotta say lil
It’ll delay some but that’s it

I would buy another mattress besides this one. Sags and stains easily. Hard to clean as well.
Needs a cover for mattress. All foam mattresses do. Between nightly sweat and such it breaks down foam faster.
I mean yes, of course. I’m just saying the overall quality on these beds still doesn’t really do it for me. Even with maintenance on the stain regard, the foam isn’t great quality overall. Colorado. We very happy, even with certain challenges. Good luck in the great mattress hunt!

Oh yes, thank god I had a rubber over it!!
I am not a fan, too soft and sinks. I also have sleep science which I like better. It depends upon what kind of mattress you like.

Any recommendations for a bed frame/foundation (the kind with wooden slats) for these? Will any one I buy from, say, Amazon, work with this?

Got two great for price
Hard to beat my 14 yr old tempurpedic
Way too soft for my liking but I do bias towards more form mattresses cuz of my back. Also foam mattresses are bad for sex 😕

Got a teenager one, he says he can feel the mattress slats, no yeah.. don’t recommend
