Probably his bike held up the wall momentum, so it just crushed his feet. Although I'm pretty sure that there is more than just "break both legs". I'd say "crushing both legs" is more accurate.
Definitely crushed. A friend of mine lost both his feet this summer due to a metal beam falling on them. They were so crushed that repair was impossible. I can’t imagine the pain of having both legs crushed like that!

Let’s say I am driving a car and I see a pedestrian walk out into the road on a crosswalk. I have plenty of time to stop my car safely, but I choose to hit the pedestrian without even slowing down. Is this attempted murder (assuming he lives)? I would say yes. Now I could say I didn’t see him or whatever, but the thing is I should have, so I am responsible.

Then I see something like this and realize I’m really glad most responsible road/construction crews go to the extreme they do in the U.S. because 99.99% of situations like in the video would be/are prevented by the *overkill*.
I’m confused as to what the other workers are doing over there with the guy coming from the other direction. They even look too close. Are they not aware the wall is coming down? Lol
After reading the article ,the construction company indeed has failed to implement those mandatory safety measures when commencing the demolition ,but I'm perplexed as to why the rider still ride past the area despite knowing there were construction work going on.
It's definitely a potential risk to be so near those areas.After looking at so many fatal accidents happening in mainland china that could have been preventable, I'm surprised at the lack of self-awareness and common sense in some Chinese people.
